My dad worked in the computer field many years ago and said he worked with a guy who was the guitar tech for Nirvana....I always wondered who that guy was. My dad was always pushing ideas that I could work a good job and pursue music at the same time. He also introduced me to another coworker who did music..his name is Heidi Hannenburg, still plays music and has a channel here on YT.

I was in the 8th grade and I think it was English class. My buddy Stone walked in and said Kurt Cobain had died and I was like, “no, that’s just a rumor.”
And then throughout that day you started getting more information and it was shocking. The following day there were reports of copycats. People taking pills, people in bathtubs, ect. Ect….
Looking back now, I wouldn’t know what to say. It seemed like the whole world loved the guy but, didn’t really know him. I wish he stuck around.

I didn't realize Kurt had had other brushes with death before his suicide. Yeah; it's crazy to think they did a show just after he'd almost died.

it's sad but with the close calls perhaps they had a chance to prepare emotionally for it. but maybe not. probably peeps thought kurt would always bounce back because he was young. plus he had a lot to live for so you wouldn't think he'd really go through with it
