Jaycee Horn Injury Update: OUT for OTAs & Minicamp, SHOULD WE BE CONCERNED?

- In this NFL news update, we bring you the latest on Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn's injury. Unfortunately, Horn will be missing the remaining OTAs and minicamp due to an ankle and foot injury. However, there is good news as he is expected to make a full recovery in time for the start of training camp. The injury occurred during Horn's personal workout, and he has been examined by renowned foot and ankle specialist, Dr. Robert Anderson. While no surgery is required, Horn will be in a walking boot for a few weeks. Stay tuned for more updates on Horn's recovery and his return to the field with the Panthers.

Yes both projected CB’s (Horn and Donte Jackdon) have injury histories with their Feet, Ankles, Lower leg muscles which generally never get back to 100%
I really hope he will be able to play all season for us. And we all know he is amazing player. Plus we all know he can ball out for us.... Please stay healthy JC. But I think he will be good.

We should 100% be concerned and if you’re not your lying your ass off. As much as I want to say he’s one of the top corners in the league I can’t because he has never played a full season with us. He’s good when he’s healthy but when he’s not healthy I have no faith in our backups to stop a dominant receiver I just don’t and that worries me a lot. Jaycee is our best corner and if he’s out we will get torched on the outside

Definitely concerned. We don’t want safety’s to have to play corner and we don’t want guys like mike evans torching a young cat who probably shouldn’t be playing. Would love to see us try to bring a vet off the street if for no other reason then to be insurance

Reddick and Gilmore were free agents they were gonna leave regardless plus we didn’t have the cap space to pay them but I agree I wanted Patrick Surtain so bad he was a beast at Bama.

He's gotta be on the field this year if he wants that fifth year option picked up. I still think he's the right pick over PS2 and he's even more talented/higher upside but I'll start to doubt that if he's missing games this year
As you know, I was concerned well before this happened. I was concerned heading up to the draft. I really wanted an earlier CB because I was close to 100% sure that either JH or DJ (if not both) would miss time. The only reason not to expect that was blind hope, which isn't a strategy. Nothing's guaranteed, but injury histories tend to be one of the stronger, more consistent predictive stats. I really think the Panthers messed up (so far) by not better shoring up this CB chart in anticipation of Horn and/or Jackson missing time.

Yes at this point if it's a major injury then yes . Especially if he's not ready come start of season. But also we've kept D Jack and he also hasn't played a full season in i don't recall when . So I think we messed up in not shoring up the CB position wether thru draft or FA . When JC is playing he's a force but we saw what we had with him out and they couldn't hold water.

How can you not be concerned? He now has a history of consistent injuries through less than 3 years. It doesn't matter how good he is on the field if he can't make it there in the first place.

Ringo was on the board multiple times. If easy E was smart he could’ve had dj at our original pick cause nobody was going to to take him but easy e himself and ringo. But no not worried, overreaction I don’t see anything about preseason or season. And they would’ve taken a corner cause they would’ve take injuries into account which means they like what they have even if injuries occur. Eric Rowe can also play corner
Good point! Instead of our HUGE reaches on day two of the draft. We could have kept our pick that we traded up to get a late day three pick in Johnson and drafted Ringo or another CB.

Should’ve stuck with the Panther way and drafted Micah Parsons like we would’ve did every year prior. We NEVER draft DBs in the first round unless the team was set already we always build our D through front 7 and used mid draft picks on DBs and this is an example

FACTS RASHAD!!! Absolutely concerning!!! Our CB locker room is about the thinnest in the NFL! Especially when we’re trying to learn a new system!!! Hope the new guys can prove themselves and raise their game up! If so that would greatly solidify our CBs and possibly cause concern for the vets! Just saying in the NFL, when opportunity comes grab it by the throat!!!

Please do NOT speak issues on Jaycee. Prayers instead of complaining. I’m NOT concerned. CMC goes to the 49ers and did NOT sustain NOT ONE injury . Steve Smith Sr. said after playing on the turf he had backaches everyday.
Difference is CMC didn’t miss a game until his fourth season, Horn has only played 16 in two seasons and is hurt again. It might not be a big deal at this point but it is cause for concern.
This will force us to definitely grab another corner. I said we arw injury prone at DB's. Go get a damn vet and stop playing.

I’m still concerned about the outcome of jaycee but I still have good faith in our coaches. Horns injury is at a list and I know they haven’t gone into this season without thinking of a plan B in response to his health and our cb roster. The coaching staff seem too talented…..

We have no #1 corner and Jackson is getting older and losing a step. We need to get some depth at the CB position. I don't trust Taylor or Henderson.
