Good afternoon everyone! I hope you all enjoy the first of many videos coming from the Southwest! It’s not often you see a city like Las Vegas on shutdown due to a global pandemic. This was actually my first time passing thru Las Vegas without spending the night so that’s another first for me, but sometimes your better safe than sorry! Enjoy the ride!

This videos is like therapy for me so cslming
1. Even with the pandemic, I-15 was close to a traffic jam. That's crazy.
2. Don't think that I didn't notice In-N-Out is a reference to In-N-Out Burger.
Oddly enough, though I have been to Las Vegas twice (andwalked past the Strip's only In-n-Out my last trip) I actually passed it up (for the McDonald's a block south). And even McDonald's is not my preference - nor is BurgerKing - my personal preference is "Tom's Urban" @ NewYorkNewYork - , mainly because unlike either IN-N-Out or McDonald's they serve IPAs with their street-themed burgers - I had a Dogfish 90 Minute my stop in 2016 - I had - literally - flown in from Marshall BWI an hour before.
How did he get food fro m a restaurant during pandemic in the height of the vivid
US-95 is an interesting drive you should make the subject of 3 videos.
1. US-95 South Las Vegas, NV to Needles, CA.
2. US-95 South Needles, CA to Blythe,CA.
3. I-10/US-95 Blythe,CA to Yuma, AZ terminus at The Mexican Border.
i guess i "travel on my stomach" i had the best burrito ever in Henderson just off the highway at a repurposed mcdonalds that had been painted all white. even the once golden arches that were attached to the sides of the building like they did back in the day. your music choices for the videos are really spot on.

Another neat feature of Project Neon are those overhead electronic signs that stretch over all lanes that were blank in this video. During New Year’s eve just before it got dark, I saw those signs active with variable speed limits by lane, and lane status (green arrow for lane is open, and yellow “X” and the word “caution” which can indicate an accident or something else in that lane, or that the lane is about to close, such as due to an acccident in that lane further ahead.
I admit I do miss living in Las Vegas.

Would to see future I-11 which connect from I-15 in Las Vegas to I-80 in Fernley or 25 miles north of Fallon Nevada, which run concurrently with US-95. The phase 1 of I-11 is between Tonopah and Las Vegas Nevada as I seen it on the video for Nevada Department of Transportation.
I remember being on a coach trip in 2015 and going for a trip to the Hoover dam from the Tropicana hotel in Las Vegas. The hotel with an old red Chevrolet parked outside.
I think US 95 through Las Vegas will also become part of Interstate 11.

Cool video! Vegas has changed a lot since I last saw it! Is I-11 going to be extended up to I-15 eventually? It just looks silly ending at I-515 right now!
I agree with you, I-515 doesn't need to exist anymore! And there's no word when I-515 signs will be replaced with I-11 signs.
@@InterstateKyle My bigger question will be when will I-11 reach Phoenix in order to complete the main reason of I-11's existence as to finally have an interstate link between the 2 major cities.
@@kennypalermo9071 That's its original purpose, an Interstate link between Phoenix and Las Vegas, so it should. Nevada got their part and even did the hardest job with that bridge overlooking the Hoover dam, so now the rest is up to Arizona.
@Joseph Moore If that happens, then we must prepare the funerals for I-19...
Note that replacing I-515 and running up US 95 is one of three proposed paths for I-11 to cross the Las Vegas Valley. As of November 2020, NDOT has not made a final decision which route it will take. (Although this is the path most roadgeeks presume will be selected, and arguably the one that makes the most sense...just can’t state it as 100% fact yet.)
