Keep hot water down and keep cold water on top. This will be a better demo

Hot water always on the top but when water become ice all chemistry change 😉

Because hot water have less density....
    So they remain top always...
If u do it upside down the water will mix ...
Cause hot water is down and cold water is up..............

  • @arul0123

Hot water or air always have less density hence they always remain on top..

Surface tension between water molecules increases with temperature is the reason out for this.

Because, density is more in normal or coldwater and it is less in hot water.here due density difference high density water goes down and the low density water goes up.
