do not stick to the dealer life for long to work on regular customer cars. Take advantage of their training for diesel and commercial trucks if they have any and switch to fleet situation like department of transportation or a utility company with heavier duty/diesel trucks and get a CDL to be allowed to work on those trucks. The dealer life is dead my guy people are leaving for a good reason
Haven’t looked into department of transportation but I am looking into something else I’m supposed to go visit the shop on Monday if everything goes according to plan I’ll have a video for y’all stay tuned for that I appreciate your insight are you a similar field of work ?
@@KENDRO1K i did many years in the dealer my guy no matter the brand its all the same bs the better you get the more difficult non paying jobs you get and i now work fleet on fedex trucks no flat rate that pay system is dying. UPS is another option. Dealers are desperate because the talent is not there like it was 10 yrs ago now they hire anyone. The auto industry did this to itself.
@@isorozco511 Yea I agree I don’t have any interest on going flat rate based off what your saying the place I’m going to look at is the same just a different company they said the same thing as well as far as they don’t pay there guys flat rate they pay you based on what you know and every level of training you complete you get a raise
as a fellow quicklane tech about to move to apprentice, this is wild to watch. im a week out from graduating school as an ase master tech.
keep the grind going man, this is badass to see someone else's journey. best of luck.
That’s wasup congratulations bro! What school did you attend and appreciate it !
🔥🔥
i fw u bro i hope u dont have no more car problems. i just bought a 2024 honda civic from 5 years of owning a shtbox i feel u
Appreciate the support! I hope so to and congratulations on the new car were you able to get a good deal I heard the interest rates are higher than usual right now
@@KENDRO1K 4% with co-signer borrowing 15k over 48 months
i Put 12k down so ab 28k out the door, 24k msrp plus 2k tax then other random fees n sht i think i got a good deal.
borrowing thru honda as well they don’t have any bad loan terms it seems, like you can pay towards the principle once you make your minimum monthly payment. lil shi like that makes it easy to pay off in less than 4 years
@@MaxxStaxx oh yea 4% is good I’m not familiar with car payments I just know about interest rates I haven’t had a car payment before but what you got seems great
Great job man! Keep it up. Did you apply for the entry level position? Or is this apart of a school program? I’m looking to start my journey as a technician
Appreciate it! and yea applied they do build resumes for you and send them to whoever you want to work for while your in school and after you graduate also are you familiar with working on cars or would this be new to you ?
@@KENDRO1K sounds pretty good. Also I have no professional training, most of what I know (which is little) I’ve learned from working on cars with my dad. That’s where I get the interest from. So oil changes, small suspension work such as control arms, bushing replacements, oil pan and transmission pan replacements, basic preventative maintenance type stuff.
@@OverlandingSoldier that’s wasup you probably could take the apprentice routes since you know the basics and save money I tried to get hired as an apprentice but I didn’t have any experience at all prior to this so I had to go to a trade school I can’t speak for other trade schools but the one I’m currently in I don’t believe it’s worth what they’re charging and the program I’m in is ending they started a new curriculum that cost more money
@@KENDRO1K thanks for the heads up. I may look into route as well. Wish you the best!
@@OverlandingSoldier No problem stay blessed!🙏🏾
How much do get paid per oil change?
0.3 for oil change and 0.5 or 0.7 for oil change and rotation depending on the customer package but I’m not flat rate I’m hourly
