All I have left is my '85 Honda ATC 110 I remember filling up the tires to the maximum and floating on it across the creek in 2nd gear like a miniature river boat. 😂 The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife didn't like it that much though. They gave me a ticket but they didn't find my weed thank god! My teenage years were wonderful.
This bike reminded me of one I have seen on the Three wheeler magazine back around the Mid 80's it was bad ass then and it's still bad ass today .Thank you for reminding me how awesome these bike were

Back in the day a friend of mine took a 250r, swapped in a cr 500 and made a custom swing arm that ran a quad tire. Fat cat from hell with a 22 in skat hauler, baddest bike I've ever ridden in the dunes. Fifth gear wheelies up every hill
Dude total props for a very clean build. Now PLEASE.!! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY!! Throw away the rear half of the swing axle and rebuild it as a BW650r and do an awesome tribute to the old big wheel bikes of the day, i bet it would be a blast to ride

They're 1000% better in the soft stuff. Thought not as nimble as a bike, the rear wheels can tilt through nearly as thin of gaps. Your body position is just as important if not more, and u can just sit and relax on it- they're fun rides.

I would left it registered for road use your insurance only goes by the vin they never look at the bike. Full coverage should be like $150-$300 a year. If it got stolen youd be covered plus you could use it around town, the only thing might be inspection??? thats a pretty clean Mod man A+

You need rear fenders! I had an '86 350X that had a pipe, cam, bigger carb, K&N filter and I was always eating dirt, mud, branches, rocks! Even with the right plastic! I think that you have the right idea: take a XR650 and add the swing arm and axle. Trying to stuff a XR650 motor into a 350X or 250R chassis is even more work and expense! Nice work! What kind of hp does it make?
Paul Watson it depends on what he's doin. Typically, for doin track stuff you actually want smaller, less aggressive tread to be able to break the rear end loose. Drifting is how to be fast on a trike around corners and frankly, much more stable and thus safe. Too much grip around a corner and trikes will go over. But, if he wanted to do drag stuff, yeah tall tires are where its at.

you late I did this in the 2001 with my 86 CR 250 R If you take an 80s racing quad rerun and cut it it’ll actually slip right in between the 250s and you just tac it together Such a shame they got rid it they are a blast (When you know how to ride them)

That is probably one of the cleanest ATC build/conversion I ever seen man, beautiful trike.
