man i agree, i like sean s style but i guess he s trying to promote it for the casuals. In some of his old interviews he used to say that he considers going the distance a `war` cause if you go in thinking you re gonna finish the fight early, you re not gonna last the whole 15 or 25( this was after the allen fight i think, he legit was dissapointed he got a finish lol). i think it s just a lack of confidence on his part. also he said he just hates watching fights in general, i think the costa fight was like the first one he actually watched his enemy, instead of letting erik do the gameplan
I dont mind stricklands style especially when he defensively hurts his oponnent by checking kicks or something and they switch stances but the only time i really enjoy it is when hes throwing overhands thats the only time he gains finishing ability
