Your analysis of the mission leaders out of the churches attitude regarding return. Missionaries is an eye-opener. You’re doing the difficult work of revealing the truth. You were brave. You are bright. And you are priceless. Do not stop. We need you.

Really enjoying following your story. I can relate to a lot of it. Particularly the depression that spirals downwards by having to blame yourself for life going wrong.
The very day I left the church, life immeasurably picked up. It turns out I do actually have the strength to do it by myself!
Looking forward to the rest of the story.

We were in completely different situations but, suffered many of the same abuses, questions, and struggles. I know your journey is not finished but, I'm glad you got out of religion and are endeavoring to be as healthy as you can be.

I served my mission, I thought my mission was awesome, after my mission I continued to be faithful, but it seemed to me I didn't get the blessings, things fell apart, started drinking, getting in trouble with the law, mostly traffic. Didn't find a worthy mate, got into a big depression, took me years to overcome. I'm still dealing with systemic judicial racist system.today my family shunning me because I ? the church.i realized there no blessings that comes from a mission.its all a fraud.now I understand.till I understood I've been 100% happier.

Would you share your age? My husband is exmo & his family is from Pocatello. Some are still there. He’s olde than you, but you may know his younger siblings.
    BTW, I’m enjoying your videos.

So I saw your part 4 video and saw you went to Hawaii and thought to myself I wonder if we served at the same time. Well I decided to watch part 5 and holy crap I just heard you say who your mission president was at 5:24 and I had the same one. He was my second one so I think I was there before you but maybe we had some overlap. I'm going to have to break out the zone pictures to see if you are in them somewhere. Well now I am going to have to watch a lot more of your videos to hear more of your story. Very interested in more of it. Maybe we even had some of the same companions.

@@yamadoo04snow I served from December 2002 to December 2004. Willis was my first mission president, towards the end of my mission I had President Hawkins.

@@genecurl6284 Looks like we just missed each other. I went home Nov 2002. Isn't in interesting how the mission president's can have such different views and rules even though it supposed the be the same church.

Gene, you are so cute. I'm so blessed to have a red headed, bastard grandson that I know for a fact God loves him even more than I do. How ridiculous to think God loves everyone so much that He gave His life once for all EXCEPT red headed bastards!!! 😅 Now doesn't that just make you laugh your head off?
I appreciate your videos because I'm sure there are ppl relating to your life story. I too left the Mormon religion at the age of 65. I've been set free(7 years) by the liberty in Christ and by no means plan to be entangled with the yoke of bondage, (religion) ever again. I will never join or be in a membership of a religious organization. The nano second I realized I'd been duped for all my life I prayed to God and ask Him to hold me and guide me and show me what to do now. Even though I left the church I did NOT abandon my Lord. I loved Him as a Mormon and that love was still there even though the church was a fraud. I ask for ppl to be put in my path that would help me understand what He wanted me to know. So many miracles began to happen. Now today, 7 years later I have the most incredible relationship with the Lord than I could ever believed was possible. Gene, bless your heart that you weren't able to detox the Mormon myth (Joseph's myth) and allow the Lord to come into you life so He could show you how you'd always been misled. Starting with your crazy mixed up dad, to men in the church who weren't good role models but rather evil deceivers teaching you to lie for the churches better good. Just know this that no one will know your heart the way Lord does. God wishes that no one should perish but have eternal life with Him, red hair and all. Remember, He mingled with the sinners not the righteous. He's your perfection,
He makes us perfect in our filthy flesh, by dying for us and removing our sins so that God sees them no more for those IN CHRIST. I want you to know that freedom comes from the Lord, not by walking away from the Lord but by BELIEVING His gospel. This is it, Believe He died for you according to Scripture, was buried and rose again the third day according to Scripture. That's it!!!
I know that sounds too simple but it's true. When you pray tonight let Him know that you didn't understand His gospel. You thought it was so demanding and heavy on you but now your blindness is gone and the simplicity of His gospel is doable for you. The theif on the cross felt lost but because he Believed Jesus was the Messiah Jesus told him he would be in paradise today with Him. By grace alone , through faith alone in Christ alone are you saved. I sure pray you will consider your choices and open the door that Jesus is knocking at (to your heart), and let Him in. He loves you. A new season awaits you, God Bless you. 😊❤☝️🙏🤟

I have a really hard time believing that your mission president said if you needed to be sent home on your mission for mental depression you would be a disgrace, wouldn't get married in the temple, and would be a bishop. That is absurd! If that really happened as you stated then I'm truly sorry.

It did indeed happen. My first mission president was not a personable person and only cared about numbers. My second mission president was a great guy and, in my opinion, a much better mission president.

When you were on Mission, did you succeed in converting and baptising new members in this church ? Additionaly , is it true that this church asksyou to convert an exact number of people ?

Sadly, I brought a lot of people into the Church. The Church wanted us to baptize as many people as possible but there was no quota put on us, however, if we went a while without a baptism the mission president would get upset with us.
