Well for a while ppl reacted the same to murder in a piece of media the way incest is being reacted to now. But eventually we got used to it being a plot device. Incest is still yet to be delved into much, so it’s still very taboo to even address
It's also about the content and how it's executed. I don't mind Mukuro Ikusaba in Despair Arc because it's realistic, and serves a purpose. I've never played this game but it seems to be romanticized here
