The pumpkin model was a good demostration for the orange triad.
The yellow does help raise the highlights.

Those red/oranges are fantastic. The coverage seems insanely good. Might have to think about picking some up.
I have a pumpkin witch model I think ill hold off on painting until I get my hands on these oranges.

Since the system uses 6 shades per colour grouping, shouldn’t they be called hexads rather than triad, which implies 3 shades per colour?
Yeap. But I guess introducing a new naming convention might be confusing. 😊
You mentioned layering is not efficient.
What is a more efficient way to paint?
I would guess using speedpaints and maybe highlighting with a drybrush?
The old school base color, then wash would be more efficient. Speedpaints too. 😊
