- Top five ( 5 ) tips for better layering. Todays @CreatureCaster miniature painting video shows the painting of this bone sword of a Creature Caster resin casted miniature. This video also discusses my five tips for better layering. For better painted miniatures.
This painting project will have an article in volume 3 of the Colorful Kraken book launched at Kickstarter a while back.
Oh btw, I used AK Interactive paints here… my thoughts on AK Interactive will be shared, eventually in one of my future videos. 😉

Good glazing on the sword.
Thanks a ton! 😊🎨🎨🎨
Great video. That sword came out so good.
Thank you! Very time consuming though. 😊
LMAO that beginning!!! I was thinking to myself, wow, he's going to be layering for a while with all those colors... I am currently using AK interactive 3rd generation paints but have held off buying more after the warpaints fanatic release for which I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting as I would love to support Army Painter because of all their fan service.
AK 3rd gen And Vallejo Model colour are the best paints on the market.
It's best to trust in brands that have always produced quality products.
The 6-triad systems are cool i guess but You DO NOT need 6 paints for a single damn hue blend. It feels like they're just trying to sell more of the same colour.s.
Just trying to make painting simpler, more approachable, and more fun for painters of all skill levels. You don’t NEED to buy all 6, that’s kind if the beauty in the system. There are 4 progressional triads, and multiple higher contrast triads within each family. So, it’s as many or as few paints as a painter will need. ;)
@@jblade8028 totally agree with you as I'm intending to buy the darkest shadow and either level 3 or 4 and wet blend and glaze to get the transition and maybe throw on a level 2 or 1 color for final highlight if I'm really in the mood. Oak brown, deep ocean blue and the fur brown will likely be enough to cover most of colors although at the price point of $4.25 a bottle I am more than willing to experiment especially with this wonderful company!
Hahaha! The AK paints are good… but not that good. 🤣 Same! I am sooo looking forward to the Fanatics so anxiously. Supporting brands that has good people behind them makes supporting them much more worth it. 😊
The new Game Color is best ( so far ) for me. I will put up a video sometime soon… unless… I don’t. 😅 The 6 triad system is very good. Honestly if I paint for myself, not for RUclips, I can use up to 12 paints / colors in the same triad. AP’s 6 color triad is very good imho. 😊
That was really great, the color transition gave a better understanding in the levels to improve my painting
Awesome to hear man! Glad you liked the video. 😊
I live in Dallas, TX, which has a rather dry climate, so I have to keep moistening my wet palette. But it's still worth it because it's helping my layering and glazing game pretty well. I have got to reverse engineer that color scheme with my Vallejo colors because that looked NICE!
So I heard man… I usually paint with oils during the summer here. 😊
🫣🫣🫣🫣 magnífico!!!!!!! ❤️
Gracias! 😊🎨🎨🎨
Thank you!
Welcome! 😊
thanks for the tips! it is an unrelated question, but how would you thin the vallejo mecha primers for spraying with a .5 needle?
1:1 with water and a couple of drops of flow improver. Thanks! 😊
by sketching you mean doing thin fine lines right?
Swift “sketchy” almost random strokes. Much like in drawing. 😊

What happened to the Golden Lemon? 😮

I miss the Golden Lemon Reveal@@DonSuratos
@@TheTaubenmensch Oh I replaced it with “TIP Time”. 😊
it hurt me when you wasted a perfectly good Redgrass games V2 wet palette sheet!!! I use mine like 15-20 times !!
Why don!!! WHYYY !?!!! XD
Hahaha! Oh I also usually use it up to 15x! That sheet has been used around 5x though. 😅
