The chart refers to the water temperature. I'm portuguese and in the capital region Lisbon even in summer when the air temperature is at 32° C the water temperature is around 17° C.
07:14 tip is the best, guys dont go a size above, the wetsuit really needs to fit like a second skin, first time you put should be hard to get in it, it will loosen up after two or three surfs
The point about each suit using 45 plastic bottles is an interesting one. There is a lot of talk in the clothing industry about being “sustainable” when turning plastic bottles into clothing. The problem with this theory is that clothing fibres made out of plastic only increases the rate at which the plastic from those bottles can be released into the environment as smaller particles, far faster than if they were left as a whole plastic bottle. The only real sustainable solution to plastic bottles is to stop using them. Turning them into clothing fibres is an unsustainable solution. Each time you wash your clothes with plastic fibres aka polyester Or polypropylene etc it releases tiny particles into the water supply and into the ocean. A company is not increasing their “sustainability” by breaking down plastic bottles into smaller finer threads for clothing.
Great vids guys, great humour and solid lessons to be learned from your years of experience. Great resource for someone like me who’s a newbie to the sport.
What are you supposed to wear under your wetsuit? I bought one second hand a few months ago and I've always worn boardies underneath but now I'm not sure
Is the "thermal lined fleece" on the inside of the Connor 2.0 wetsuits cover up the same amount of body space as the Connor no-zip. - Just wondering because it doesn't show a photo of the inside of the Conner No-zip, and there is a bit of a price difference
brand new to surfing and just found your channel i just bought a quiksilver 3/2 highline ltd wetsuit but i dont really know much about its performance. do you guys know any surfboards that would be good for a decent beginner?
Quick question I’m just getting into freediving and I’ve been wearing board shorts but when I go to a colder beach or area I would like to get a wetsuit. I know you are a surfing channel but do you think it’s okay to wear a surfing wetsuit for freediving?
Also wondering the pros and cons of long sleeves shorty (springsuit) vs sleeveless long john. Long legs protect knees, and thighs especially when sitting on a wider longboard. Sleeveless tops allow better paddling, but long arms and neck protect upper body warmth for longer sessions.
For a "non-paid" advertising this sure feels quite biased and one sided its evident you are getting a percentage of the sales that use your discount code, dont get mew wrong Im all for you guys making a living but it feels like you are trying to have us believe that the same would have been said regardless of the money involved. Would have loved to see comparison to other brands that maybe weren't paying you for the air time !
We were quite clear in the video that by using our discount code you’re also supporting the channel - lord forbid we promote some good products which we believe in and be paid for our time, right?
How to Rip, fair enough! I’m sure you boys have the best intentions and honestly I enjoy watching your videos and do so quite often. If anything I would like a seasoned opinion like yours on a larger array of wettie options- any how keep killing it and thanks for the content 🤙🏻🤙🏻
@@juanmorales-xe6sl l completely agree. Having grown up windsurfing and surfing in Nova Scotia there's a lot to be said for a number of unmentioned other manufacturers. Minimising flushing using semi-dry suits with good wrist and ankle seals and incorporated hoods will keep you so much warmer (especially as most of your heat is lost through your head). IMO oneil makes some of these. Other simple factors such as thickness, colour (black will absorb the most solar heat) and surface texture (such as snakeskin to entirely block the wind) also make a huge difference. One of the warmest suits i ever had was a neilpryde with titanium lining, way back in the day when lining suits first started. I've also gotta say for suits that flush, that the rip curl flashbombs are tops as the lining quickly drains whatever water gets in and then feels dry against your skin, and with the lining made of polypropylene it also insulates when wet (like wool but way lighter!!). Just my two cents though.
I know of some watersports enthusiasts in Poland who will wear 5/4 wetsuit in ice water. Or put a battery-powered electric heater vest under a 4/3 wetsuit. Despite the fact that 6/5 and 7/6 wetsuits are readily available here.
Thanks for watching everybody!! :)
Floating, suits for cosseil l waves.
if you want cold try the north east of Scotland
@@gavink5671 already there😅
@@FreddieFatFingers good man, where about are you?
No worries mate😎
What a great intro. Like something from The Day After Tomorrow. Keep up the grand work guys.
Your guys’s editing is makes the video so immersive compared to previous videos, nice improvement
You might even say it’s “refreshing”
🤣😂 lads you've clearly never done the north coast of Ireland in Feb!! 😂🤣 I've slipped and fallen over cos the sand was frozen 🤣😁👍
kiterJ south coast NZ feelin ur pain bro😂🤙🏾
🥶
try surfing that with 50 kilometer wind gusts. did that!
Guys, you are hilarious 😂🤣
KiterJ. You are legend. 🤣
That temp chart certainly does not apply everywhere. In northern Portugal even with more than 20°C most people still wear a light 3/2

Bloody hell
It was 24 degrees here in Ireland today and it was like a sauna
Everywhere you go there would be people practically wearing nothing
@@pipeqez911 a lot less humidity in Portugal though compared to Ireland. Still roasting though !

Love the bloopers at the end. Super helpful episode, as usual. YEWWW!!!
Music to this video is so nice :)
Where i live its already hot enough for bording shorts, still enjoyed the vid. Great job on that inrto!
Starts at 2:23
Where I live it’s about nine degrees Celsius and I wear a 3/2mm

really dig your surfing style. Could watch all day.
Suggestion's, talk about possibly saving from "drowning" wearing the Adeillo wetsuit.
Floating, wetsuits, for colossal waves like that, if you wipeout you can swim-up to surface.
Hahaha I’m from the Midwest and when I looked up 4 degrees Celsius I burst out laughing
In 7:40 you slapped his ass 😆😆😆😂😂😂😂👏👏👏
A spoof reel would be dope XD
thnx for the advise i copped a 4/3 steamer for my self...the discount helped heaps...chrz
Im from South Australia, what was the spot in this video? Thanks
How do I know if the sippers go in front or back

What does one wear underneath the wetsuit?

That might be a good question to send to the guys at Adelio :)
Q.Adello brand is it has floating & warmth capability 2-1?

My first one fit perfect
hey where are you guys surfing in this video?
Do you have any tips for taking off booties? It's literally the worst part of the wetsuit removal experience when it's cold.

I can't see why not Niko!
What’s the difference between a surfing wet suit and free diving ?
I ended up with a recomended short leg long sleves suit 2/2 from billabong works well but whats the point of the long arms or short legs LOL
Y’all think that’s cold look up Lake Superior or Michigan winter surfing
they say look in the description to find the wetsuits they use but no links to anything
Jayden, the link is definitely in the description, here it is also;

you guys have no idea what cold is!!
Hey! Can anyone tell me the difference between a steamer and a springer?

Which foot goes on the front of the board ?
non preferred foot. For example if you kick with your right foot you put your left foot forward
run and slide sideways across a slippery floor with socks on. whichever foot you slide with in the front should be your front foot for riding as well
Thank you
Where in sa is this?
The surfers code is when you find a great spot you don't promote it for obvious reasons
