Totally agree. Haven’t listened to Rome in years! Was hilarious back in the day. He became very disingenuous, pretending to be the same guy he always was yet nothing funny like this is allowed on the show anymore. He just kisses the ass of all the entitled athletes
+intsoccersuperstar1 Hahahaha, that's the part that ravaged me. I hope there aren't any typos in here because I can't see the screen through my tears and convulsive laughing.
I remember a few years back when the clones hijacked the show for two or three days running during the week that JFK, Jr. and his wife and sister in law crashed in his private plane into the Atlantic Ocean. All Jim received were email takes on the new Tic Tac breath mint "flavors" which were based on dead celebrities and their manner of deaths: Sonny Bono (Cher's ex husband and U.S. House Representative from California) - killed in a skiing accident when he crashed into a tree - brown wooden flavored pills with splinters Mama Cass Elliot (famous 1970's folk singer with the Mamas and the Papas) - choked to death on a ham sandwich - pink ham flavored pills with a white line down the middle of each one JFK, Jr., his wife Carolyn and sister in law Lauren Bessette (Kennedy family dynasty) - plane crash into the Atlantic Ocean while flying to a family wedding - bluish green seawater flavored
Yeah this was a time where Rome AND the clones could say and do whatever they wanted. I think now because the show has a TV and radio simulcast, you won't hear things like again.
The beauty of Rome. Act like he hates a take so he can go on and on about it all show. And rile up the clones. “I don’t want another call or email about this”… means bring it on
It has its moments but you’re right it’s nowhere near as good as it used to be. Eventually, when they started airing the show on TV with the radio broadcast, they had to tone down the show a TON, but on top of that we could see glimpses of him laughing hysterically at the very things that he'd get "upset" about on the radio 😂😂😂
Stevie Carbone was the call screener, it must have been back in the late '90s. Classic post, adding in the LT run over the buzzer was a nice touch. Stevie said no to a Mike check, LOL.........
@@afridgetoofar1818 Carbone was still in the Jungle in 2005? In 2005 Rome had J-Stew, Travis Rodgers and either Whitey or a newbie by the name of Alvin handling the parameters of the show. I’m surprised that RUclips has not taken down this audio for hate speech 😮 nor have the placed a context box in the video explaining that gender is fluid, 😂 since Rome said puppets have no gender. LOL😅
