@@ambiguousamphibianvods I'm surprised you didn't get all the ammo and a couple guns for each for this assualt. If what you say about the place is is true (in regards to their being more zombies than the base) it would seem wise to pack more firepower. Unless the humvee has a limited amount of weight.
Yeah I felt he didn't really organise so well here. Like every ammo type along with guns, attachments and magazines in seperate sections. Plus storing multiple guns and more ammo in his vehicle since he's said that the town had way more zombies than the military base. Maybe store them in multiple vehicles just outside if there is a weight limit for vehicles. (I haven't played PZ so I wouldn't know. Am planning to, mainly thanks to AA).
The problem with an ending is that in the lore, it's essentially the end of days everywhere. There's confirmed cases in Cincinnati, Columbus, Norfolk, London, Newcastle, Mogadishu, Seoul, Okinawa, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Berlin, and Tokyo by Day 9 of the game. So it's safe to say that nowhere else is faring much better than Knox County edit: added much before better
My first zombie media was "When good ghouls go bad"; it is a Disney movie from the early 2000s; wild fact about the cast, it has the doctor from Back to the Future, and the lead actor- Joe Pichler, disappeared in 2006, he told his family he was going to meet his friends, or "someone" the night he vanished, when the door closed, they would never see their son again; he has been missing, again, since 2006.
BTW, there is an option for how often zombies crawl under cars that can be found in the sandbox settings. Meaning, if you really wanted to, you could set it to "never" and thus return it to the old functionality.

“Winchester” because that’s the company that developed (and named) the round; NATO because that organization agreed to a standardized round across multiple platforms (weapons) adopted by members of NATO, and “7.62 NATO” thus is distinguished from the other types of 7.62 round, such as 7.62x39 and 7.62x54 (7.62 NATO IS A 7.62x51 round). Coincidentally, 7.62 NATO and .308 are, for most practical applications, the same round.

Project Zomboid I believe has the potential to be the ULTIMATE zombie survival simulator. Where there is no 'one main end goal' beyond just surviving. But so many different things you can do. Kind of like modded minecraft, where you could have your end goal to be to beat a certain boss, or obtain a certain modded item or armor, or build a quarry or an automated farm etc etc. I can see some OPTIONAL end goals like if you survive for a few hundred days or something then you can be rescued and call it a 'win'. or have it like 7 days to die where there is a challenge every certain amount of days that you must face. just things to keep the game from becoming the same idea over and over without having to have one clear point to it.
I'd rather see no end to PZ. In vanilla, you always die because you get lazy, greedy, distracted or tired. Learning how to beat your self is the whole point! I'll buy it again at full price if that's what it takes to keep it true to the premise.
i've been using brita's and arsenal's weapons pack in my game but i feel like it's a bit too OP... I can kill just about any horde and the feeling of survival kinda fades away. Anyone else got this feeling? AA what are your thoughts?
I feel like you can remove that feeling by adjusting settings - Even in a heavily, HEAVILY modded game, stuff like 100 sprinters can still generally kill you, and increasing spawn rates massively (provided your PC can actually remotely handle it...) will cause you to EVENTUALLY run out of ammo if you're fighting everything. I have a playthrough going with like 100ish mods, random zombie speeds and absolute max spawn numbers, and regardless of how "strong" my character ends up feeling from having a remote base with my own personal army, going into a major town is still complete suicide without proper tactics. When a single settlement can end up with like 10k zombies in it, you're going to need a LOT of supplies and setup to fight something like that head-on. If you don't want to/can't do something like that, then as usual with zomboid: Roleplay. Also lower both gun values to their lowest spawn rates. I absolutely LOVE how the various weapon mods make weapons feel actually "good", and there's various ways to still make it fairly balanced. You just have to change how you do your settings, or how you play. Brita's makes even stuff like pistols actually usable, so it's actually fairly possible to just restrict yourself to only using "bad" weapons, rather than the OP ones, or to only using a certain amount of ammo at a time. It's like mods in any game. You can make yourself an immortal god, or you can make the game 100x harder. ...or, if you know what you're doing, you can achieve both. That's what often happens to my Skyrim and Fallout playthroughs - If I'm prepared for an encounter, I'm an immortal demi-god, but if I get caught unprepared, I just get 1-shot lol. It's something many people often don't take into consideration - the requirement to create your OWN balance when you're modding a game. Also, Brita's 100% has a settings menu to nerf just about everything if you really wanted to. I just personally find that to be more of a... MP-type setting, and a last-ditch option. But yeah, basically, whenever you add more than QoL mods, you have to look at the big picture - How does this effect the overall game, and how do I re-balance for that. In a game like Zomboid, you can generally re-balance mostly with default settings by just making the game ridiculously hard via the settings - Make zombies stronger, faster, more lethal... Make resources scarcer, harder to get... Make skills harder to level, actions more punishing. This is why people like myself are able to run mod setups with 300+ mods and yet still have perfect balance, in many cases even better balance than non-modded has.
The problem with arsenal weapons pack is the spawning. Even with everything on extremly rare you find over 400kg on weapons / attachments in a single police station. Kinda ruined the challenge for me i just uninstalled the mod and started over
Dont know if you will read this but you have an AK103 in one of the lockers and multiple 7.62x39 magazines inth lockers and a whole lot of 7.62x39 bullets and boxes. Also I do not know if Brita models this but most military spec rifles can also run 223. Remmington even though they are supposed to be loaded with 5.56x45mm NATO. 223 is the civilian variant with a slightly lower powder charge but identical casing dimmensions.

Before I went to go hang the laundry, RUclips autoplayed this one and I was upstairs wondering what that booming and rumbling was, when I came down I saw it's you shooting zombies, wtf I didn't expect zomboid to have such a rich sound 🤣
Re:the discussion of George Romeo and the resurgence of zombies in the mid-2000s.. Read a couple discussions that zombies came on as a movie genre as an escapist idea. The 70s with unemployment and Vietnam had people look for escapist fiction and the idea that we could survive beyond others. The 00s with the housing crisis and the war in Iraq had a similar background to people yearning for an escapist fiction. Just a thought on the resurgence with zombieland and especially the walking dead.
For some reason I love The classic Romeroian/Faucci/Brunio (other director's who worked on zombie b-z type films who started in the 70's, those similar to Romero) Zombie's and I didnt/don'r really like the 48 days later type of zombie, because I feel that The 48 days later type of zombies (which is the modern day "zombies" in most media nowadays) are just genuine super-mutants instead of reanimated dead people that have come back to life. Also probably because to me I like the aspect that while they still posed a threat in sheer numbers, There was still a possible chance to recover and rebuild in the aftermath which can show physical progress being made along with how the new society both acts and functions, while the mutant type of "zombie" is just purely end of the world, like how can you rebuild or even survive in that.... Like You cant outrun and you cant outhide, from the super human smell, eye-sight and hearing of the super-ultra fast "zombie" or successfully combatting a behemoth all-muscled gigantic "zombie" or acid spitting type of "zombie" without being infected or outright killed... For me I consider that type of "zombie" the Hollywood zombie, because to me that's just purely impossible all-around. I really wish there was more of the classical type of zombie in modern media instead of the pure to more semi mutant types, but maybe that's just an unpopular opinion here. (Also unrelated note here; I dont know if anyone else has noticed this but where ever they talk about zombies alotta people just get so pretentious and defensive about the topic of zombies itself when it is brought up; like "Well the modern day zombie wasn't/isn't made by Romero, only!" or That "The classical zombie can't happen and there can be no suspense neither so that's why its bad or something like that" it's really annoying)
1:54:32 I feel ya. It's the same with watching, it's way more entertaining to watch someone play this game than to play it yourself because it has no content and you get bored really easily
I was mildly annoyed by the lack of organisation. Like, it would've been better to arrange the guns, ammo, mags and attachments into different sections. Like, in the first storage area, there'd be enough sections. Like, a group of four boxes for each. Other than that, great vid.
i started a playthrough with a character similar to yours in this series (not specifically anton, but wanting to use lots of guns and clearing out fort redstone before anything else) i started at the prison (which was suprisingly easy... considering the game auto-clears out zombies in a decent distance from where you start) and i moved from there to redstone. man i did NOT expect there to be SO MANY zombies in that first building on the right from the entrance... it seems weird that redstone gives you what is basically a free pass to get at the armory and grab all the guns you want, but fills the place you'd use as a home full of zombies. also, I'm using the same building you are for a 'home', but instead of being on the second floor sitting on the ground, the first floor has a fully furnished bedroom with zero windows (which I'm sure you know by now.) i find it interesting that you'd go for the fosstech and not the AA12 XD
funny enough, same goes for the prison. the armory can easily be accessed without drawing in any zombies from outside, but if you want to use it as a base you better set up a campfire and a car against a fence
yeah, i decided to re-make that world and change the zombies up, super high overall zombie count, stronger (more health) but slower zombies, and lower their sight and hearing (but not lower their memory) this leads to a lot more tense 'oh shit they're everywhere' kinda moments without completely fucking myself over by getting surrounded by fast zombies. one thing in particular i wish i could change about brita specifically... once you have brita on, everything that would be considered a 'place to get guns' suddenly has like... ALL the guns. single cabinets have enough firepower to let you wander around for 5 minutes shooting at anything that moves, assuming you find a cabinet with a gun and correct ammo (which isnt hard.)
This video highlights why I never plan on playing with Brita... I'm not going to sit there and look through boxes for 30 minutes just to find a gun, a magazine, and enough ammunition to match all in 30 different containers that are all confusingly labeled, only to have to do it again when the ammo runs out. I'll keep vanilla's like 5-6 guns or mods that add a few over this any day.
So about the zombies crawling under cars - what about removing the tires? The car kinda sits on the floor then (visually and physically) - I'd imagine this stops them from crawling under?
"I'm supposed to tell you that AmbiguousAmphibian said that NATO stood for North American Trade Organiz...what...wait, he said I'm NOT supposed to...OOOoooh...oh...okay, forget what I just said."
It's the one place many would run to for safety. Unfortunately many infected as well. No suprise. Lots of soldiers, supplies, defences and of course guns.
I always turn off respawn, change population setting, and make structures stronger. Otherwise my immersion is ruined. I wish I could play vanilla without always changing those settings. Respawn in buildings is ridiculous, though I could see occasional hordes coming in off the edge of the map.
If you are doing a long game play shouldn't you see about leveling up your tailoring and thus shouldn't you take the clothes off the zombies for tailoring materials later?
Damn I missed this one live... 7-Days might be good to stream/vod... I wonder if it would be possible to do Krugg-style story telling videos of PZ, obviously minus the artwork of course.
So I know I'm a hotttt minute late but when you went to the new city why didn't you bring a gun cleaning kit to clean/ repair the shotgun so you don't keep getting jams and waste ammo. But I'm not even sure what I said is possible and might just be super wrong.
It's funny the topic came up - first thing that struck me when I started watching you was that you had Northernlion vibes. Pacing, sarcastic meandering commentary with elevated vocab, etc...
Neo Scavenger is such a strange game. There's nothing I remember more than after finally struggling my way to the city, getting a tip about an interesting house out in the woods. Only to then be killed by an actual curse.
There's a Zombie movie im waiting for you to mention. I Am Hero, its a Japanese Zombie movie a 10/10 for me and I have a good feeling you'll love it. They say Train to Busan was good but I Am Hero blew em out the water but yeah Busan is Korean so it had more hype but definitely not the best zombie release that time. Its pretty much Project Zomboid in movie format.
I would love to see a game mode in PZ that haves you 'conclude' the game by getting to Louiseville and escaping in a helicopter that you need to put back together or something. lol and then you become the helicopter event
Hear you talking about zombie game. I'll add another great one to the v long list. Survivalist and survivalist: invisible strain. Both great. Made by one guy, more of the base building, community building but they're great plays.
The other reason build 41 has been taking awhile, is that the team had to start back from scratch cause they lost a hard drive with a lot of the code on it. TBH i do not remember how they lost the HD
That’s not the reason because that’s from like 8 years ago now. They had their laptop stolen. The reason it’s actually taking a while is because they’re still a smallish team and this game is quite the “project” heh

1:58:01 suppressor(shotgun)
I legitimately yelled at the screen.
Is .223 and 5.56 not interchangeable in this game? Along with 7.62 and .308?
graystillplays won me over when he recorded the hurricane a few years ago. that was fun.
Winchester that’s what the win means lol sam and dean winchester
The cool thing about the gunfighter mod thing is you can select what guns spawn.
I've noticed it looks like there is a puse time option, can that be used while looting
I don't think this is true
1:54:32 I feel ya. It's the same with watching, it's way more entertaining to watch someone play this game than to play it yourself because it has no content and you get bored really easily
how to use suppresor ??? do i need certain skill to use suppresor ???
No just a scrw driver..
Are the zombie bodies decomposing due to the elements because of a mod or base game?
What if you overlap vehicles ?
I was mildly annoyed by the lack of organisation. Like, it would've been better to arrange the guns, ammo, mags and attachments into different sections. Like, in the first storage area, there'd be enough sections. Like, a group of four boxes for each. Other than that, great vid.
This game is so in-dept, i tried wiping my shoes in grass not to stain my homebase carpet with zombie blood.
You inspired me to get this game and recreate your series lmao 🤣
Hi, can you kill ALL the zombies or are they infinite?
It's all in settings. However you want it to be
i started a playthrough with a character similar to yours in this series (not specifically anton, but wanting to use lots of guns and clearing out fort redstone before anything else) i started at the prison (which was suprisingly easy... considering the game auto-clears out zombies in a decent distance from where you start) and i moved from there to redstone. man i did NOT expect there to be SO MANY zombies in that first building on the right from the entrance... it seems weird that redstone gives you what is basically a free pass to get at the armory and grab all the guns you want, but fills the place you'd use as a home full of zombies.
also, I'm using the same building you are for a 'home', but instead of being on the second floor sitting on the ground, the first floor has a fully furnished bedroom with zero windows (which I'm sure you know by now.)
i find it interesting that you'd go for the fosstech and not the AA12 XD
funny enough, same goes for the prison. the armory can easily be accessed without drawing in any zombies from outside, but if you want to use it as a base you better set up a campfire and a car against a fence
yeah, i decided to re-make that world and change the zombies up, super high overall zombie count, stronger (more health) but slower zombies, and lower their sight and hearing (but not lower their memory) this leads to a lot more tense 'oh shit they're everywhere' kinda moments without completely fucking myself over by getting surrounded by fast zombies.
one thing in particular i wish i could change about brita specifically... once you have brita on, everything that would be considered a 'place to get guns' suddenly has like... ALL the guns. single cabinets have enough firepower to let you wander around for 5 minutes shooting at anything that moves, assuming you find a cabinet with a gun and correct ammo (which isnt hard.)
keep up the great work my dude
This video highlights why I never plan on playing with Brita... I'm not going to sit there and look through boxes for 30 minutes just to find a gun, a magazine, and enough ammunition to match all in 30 different containers that are all confusingly labeled, only to have to do it again when the ammo runs out. I'll keep vanilla's like 5-6 guns or mods that add a few over this any day.
There was a shotgun suppressor in the weapon case on the left side of the warehouse!
I've lost so many characters to the horde in that medical building, I've just taken to lighting it on fire and letting the whole thing burn.
if RT was the stig and he had an new yorker cousin it would be this guy.
Why is there a city worth of people inside a military base in this game?!
Which equipment mods are you using?
Where is the first video
yo just found ur channel love the content man
52:17-52:29. Enjoy
the whole time I was hoping he would just start a fire instead of blowing all of his shotgun ammo
So I know I'm a hotttt minute late but when you went to the new city why didn't you bring a gun cleaning kit to clean/ repair the shotgun so you don't keep getting jams and waste ammo. But I'm not even sure what I said is possible and might just be super wrong.
he is the first youtuber that i know of to mention sarasota
Is this on the vanilla map?
It's funny the topic came up - first thing that struck me when I started watching you was that you had Northernlion vibes. Pacing, sarcastic meandering commentary with elevated vocab, etc...
Stickey keys literally crashed my truck
Neo Scavenger is such a strange game. There's nothing I remember more than after finally struggling my way to the city, getting a tip about an interesting house out in the woods. Only to then be killed by an actual curse.
This vod's begining is casual genocide with unrelated comantary
Dude, I didnt know you made a bid channel! I have more to watch now.
Its pretty much what Project Zomboid aspire to make. From start to finish and a shopping cart pls come one why is that not a thing.
I would love to see a game mode in PZ that haves you 'conclude' the game by getting to Louiseville and escaping in a helicopter that you need to put back together or something.
lol and then you become the helicopter event
“Well, I know NATO does not stand for North American trade organization...” lmao
You have to read World War Z! Hands down the best piece of zombie fiction, but not the movie, just the book
Movie is OK but completely unrelated to the book. Day By Day Armageddon is also a great zombie book.
Hear you talking about zombie game. I'll add another great one to the v long list. Survivalist and survivalist: invisible strain. Both great. Made by one guy, more of the base building, community building but they're great plays.
MOAR DED BODEEES! AHHHH!
plenty of fish in the sea - ghandi.
You're amazing, keep it up!
@@ItsJustDoctor Oh I thought that was why we are still stuck in IWBUMS and nothing has updated on the official side
