Hoping to get out of Tier 25 soon with the ideas you have. I got out of 10 pretty fast and not I seem to be in a rut. I'm trying the trend at the end with an original design that hopefully will stand out. Funny enough I was looking at what was around and found another design that has low BSR and under 200 posted and coming up with a design for that one too since it seems to be trending between RB and MBA. From my 10 in this challenge I only sold 2, I'm currently cycling those which I got on popsockets and related to the trends that are coming to an end. Gonna use some of your tips, thanks
Seems like a good way for amazon to get sellers to make shirts and only pay then 30 cents while they try and go from tier to tier taking months to do so, you can bet amazon are making a profit, even if the designers are not.

I have a question: when you're talking about replacing an unsold design, do you mean to take down the old and to upload the new version as a new listing or just to replace the design in the listing which is on right now? What's the best strategy? To take down the old design, upload the new version as a new listing with the same keywords and staff, or just replace the image?

Can you make a video about the best ways to prevent your designs from being stolen and your experience? I had an original design with artwork I drew myself that that sold 55 times one day after uploading it to Amazon. As soon as the BSR updated, my design was stolen and plastered all over the internet. Others took my design and re-uploaded back to Merch with a price of 13.07. It completely killed my profit for that design. I've Reported them to amazon but they usually take about 2 weeks to remove them. Things like this is what discourage me from uploading my best work.
Personally....I've been Copycatted a lot...and came to 2 Conclusions : 1- Amazon is NOT a place for "Art" ( Meaning don't take too much time with your design...It's more like a fast food joint ) 2- Don't dwell on Copycats....The time and energy you take to chase and report them all, you'll have time to make and upload 3 More designs. Use your energy wisely...... 58 years old Graphic Designer here...at Tier 500. ( Always good to know WHO you are talking to because ...." Without DATA...you are just another person...with an Opinion " )
I have to agree with Jvapa... There isn't really a good way to stop copycats. It is frustrating but I just keep making more and more. I don't worry about them too much.
@@jvapaodjim6168 @Detour Shirts Thanks I appreciate the response. I guess I'm going to stick with simple designs for now. I don't want to just hand over my best work to these thieves. The thing is that it keeps happening way to often for me, and it just makes me so angry when I see someone profiting from my artwork especially on Amazon where they can easily under cut me in price.
@@orangemonkeyart Publish your best work on Teepublic.... They have a really good anti-theft system that does the work for you.. and spiders the web to find copycats...!!
@@jvapaodjim6168 Yes, I really like Teepublic's policy when it comes to copyright infringement. Whenever i report someone on Teepublic their account gets permanently deleted and they are also quick to respond.
I added a Chrome extention called Productor. It shows bsr only for those who have sold. My bsr is N/A from the start and nothing moves. How can you judge your bsr when you haven't one?
Hey Juna, do you know why when I search for say dabbing pumpkin like you just did when I go to amazon I dont see like the bsr or something other things like I see that you can? I can if I type them in a certain section on merch informer but that it?
Great question... I think there is a 500k tier... I'm at 100k and I know Ryan Hogue is at 200k... I believe there is one higher... so I'm guessing there is a 500k
i did a design with a gingerbread man, and that got rejected! apparently the word "gingerbread" "gingerbread man" and "gingerbread house" is copyrighted..but i went to amazon and saw a bunch of designs using those same copyrighted key words.

Interesting... I wish I had the whole day to work on it.... I usually only have 4 hours a day if that. I guess some Saturdays could be full days.

Yes you can! It's just 10 sales... it can be all from 1 design and it would count

If something is not selling I would take it down and do something completely different instead... a different trend with different keywords.
