See, the thing about Sonic as Sans is: Even when you get in that hit, he’ll just lose rings and make you go through it all over again. So, yeah: “The Second Attack” is pretty fitting, since that’s the bare minimum of hits that it’ll take to finally take ‘im down :P
i love how this specifically sounds like a meglovania against sonic instead of just a remixed megalovania. it sounds like sonic smack-talking you as he just picks his rings back up after every attack.

Deltarune is supposed to be an alternate timeline with the same characters. Pretty sure Toby said this during an interview or something, you could probably dig it up if you look hard enough. Sans acknowledging that he might recognize the player references the fact that he knows about "time travel" (saving/loading game states).

You cant kill sonic if he was sans because sonic virtually never gets tired. And even if you did hit him he would only lose rings all he needs is one single ring too survive forever he can just keep getting hit then collecting all his rings back
