"There are those who say the remake will never come. What are they to say now" When Halo 2 Anniversary was announced I thought remake this trailer will be perfect.
I grew up with Halo Trial and Custom Edition. I played the campaign over and over. I never got to play Halo 2 except at a friend's house. We could never coop. I always had to watch him play. If we did multiplayer, he was obviously better and knew how to Sword Lunge. Since then CE and Halo 3 remain my favorites. Halo 3 was my first Xbox game and damn was a it a blast. My brothers and I played nonstop SWAT.
i remember sitting in 6th grade... the teacher had turned on the tv to put a movie on and the cable was still on. this commercial happened to be running at the time. that image of chief looking down into the camera is burned into my memory.

And you started going home and you’re started turning on your Xbox and you put the disc of Halo 2 and you’re started playing.
It's very grim to see the state of the gaming world we have today versus the time we saw this trailer and the commercials on TV. My Dad had Super Mario and Super Metroid, I had Metal Gear Solid and Halo, the point today shouldn't be to say "kids these days don't know how good we had it back then" the thing we should be doing in our generation is to say " I want to make games that give kids the feeling we had back then". Please 343 come to your senses and fix Halo.
Saddly the current state of the industry is "how to we get kids to spend all of their parents money without actually giving them anything of quality, and how to we cash in on nostalgia to get the parents to spend even more." the industry has long been losing its desire to make art and instead settled for making products that bring in money. I think that's where most of the hatred comes from, I don't hate most of the stuff aimed at kids today because it's not the same as what I grew up with, I hate it because I can see how hollow it is.
