Lars is a fantastic drummer and the justice album proves it
Always been a Lars fan. His haters have come up with nothing at all.
The way Lars plays the drums, he’s able to make the superfast guitars understandable.
This drum solo was what got me Into drums, I was six years old watching this and instantly knew. I don't care what anyone says, Lars is an integral part of Metallica.
Same
Lars is my favorite drummer ever. He’s the reason I got into metal and he’s the reason I drum today. I love his style. I know he doesn’t do much paradiddle work on the Tom’s a lot but what he does just works. Cool video too bro
Lars is a fucking legend, any one day shit about him should upload is on fucking drumming.
Cool reaction! We saw them back on this tour in the early 90's. James needs some work, but not a bad drummer himself. They actually all switched positions Lars (Sang) James (Drums) Kirk (Bass) Jason (Guitar) I believe they played 'Am I Evil' - They are all pretty talented. I know that Lars gets a lot of flac, but he's got a couple hundred million $$ reason why he doesn't care. Metallica was my favorite band growing up back in the 80's. They always make sure to have fun and you leave with a smile. Can't wait to see them again later this year!
I seen you playing drums along with others playing and singing on Falling in Reverse "watch the world burn" that Falling In Reverse posted up today, congrats man
This is the drumset I learned on. My ex-step father had an exact Pearl replica of Lars' kit from these shows. It was one of the only cool things he ever did for me. Then when I started to get better than him he promptly told me to get my own LMAO.
Damm kid get yer own drum set lmao
@@rycor9117 LMAO this was in the late 90's. I have 2, one acoustic one electric now🤙
@@jdmmike7225 nice man. I always wanted to learn drums and never did. I do play guitar but drums seem like so much more fun. Maybe some day I will get a set - I am older now but who cares. Rock on man
Love their new album
I'm glad to see your subscribers have some class and respect. Usually a Lars video has a million stupid comments about Lars. If you heard them back in the 80s when they 1st came out, I guarantee you had the same reaction as me. Holy shit that was great...who the hell is the drummer.
Yeah it’s nice when James plays drums
Some people said his first instrument was drumset before guitar , whatever is true
He can still play drums
Good rock drummer. I don't know why people put him down, other than those that can't do become critics. However, the only rock drummers that come close to the jazz greats, are jazz based: Moon, Baker, palmer, Shrieve, Powell, etc.
Whatever the reason Lars gets so much heat I don't know and I don't care. You can't take away the fact that he's a great drummer
From one. And justice for all.
How about a Yoyoka reaction? Maybe Burn or Kill the King?
James learned drums before guitar. And piano before that.
Lars getting heat is someone hearing one time "lars sucks" then they just say it after that person said it. Lars is great
Barrimore Barlow. I m certain he had influenced Pearts drumming. A great Rock Drummer! ruclips.net/video/5VNtAqQswEE/видео.html. Another from John Bonhams favorite drummer. He said that. I think he had great taste. ruclips.net/video/EibzC0DZh4U/видео.html
If you must know, the greatest metal song ever recorded is undoubtedly master of puppets. It’s the heavy stairway to Heaven.
how can someone watch this a say that lars is/was a bad drummer?
Je me fou ce que les gens disent a propos de Lars. Meme si il n est pas le meilleur,il restera mon drummer preferé et grace a qui j ai appris a jouer du drums.
One
This Lars performance has been brought to you by Cocaine " The original pick-me-upper."
whats your point - every musician back then was most likely. Lame comment
@@rycor9117 wow, you're a fun guy.
Just want to say to the haters, he did this before you where born🤷♂️🤗 Dont hate, he made Metallica
This is a drum stunt, not a drum solo
Listen this is coming from me who loves both Lars and metallica, but Lars is by far the worst drummer of any big band and his playing is very sloppy and unrehearsed because his drumming technique is very bad, he have always just hit very hard without ever worrying about posture and stuff like that and it shows! especially now when he is older and cant keep that up anymore. This combined with almost no practice drumwise in the last 23 years results in what we hear today. I have discussed this with both friends and random people online through the years and many people to this day still seem to think that his playing is not good because he is old? i'm sorry but anyone that even remotely knows music in any capacity can both hear and see that Lars main struggles behind the kit is that i lacks any sort of real technique and stamina management and on top of that Lars don't know how to keep time. One of the worst offenders is his live playing during the chorus in sad but true try listening to that without wondering if he has ever heard that song before lol
Lack of stamina ? You think you throw Battery in encore with 2h40 in the legs in 1992 at break neck speed without stamina ?
And do that for 3 freaking years straight 6 days a week.
Who could do that ?
With thoses shedules of course your body pay the price too.
If you had knee arthrisis and shoulders and joint damaged you will struggle time to time doing shows that long.
And not control everything you do.
Its not just practice.
I recently went to see Metallica nov of 2024in Detroit it was the best concert I’ve ever been to these guys are the only band I’ve seen that gotten better each concert I’ve been to
