10:40 to be fair, that video was from 2007 or 2008 and the last time they played that song live was in like early 90s. I cant blame anybody if they dont remember how their song goes after not playing them for 15 years.
@@PKingHeroics maybe they did. maybe they didnt and expected him to show up and know every song. it wasnt only this song because this was for Metallica Guitar Hero. there were plenty of songs they played.
Guys as funny the clip is they didn't played that song in 20 years at that point, its far to be an easy song to play all through, the stops, the fills . Also turning a clip and stuff take hours. And in 1990, 1992 he played that live , even 1996 flawless. Also something you all just forget, when you tour like they toured, your body pays it. ( Reminder BA tour as exemple : 3 h shows for 5-6 days a week for 3 fucking years straight ). have both shoulders tore up since 1998 and also some knee arthrisis since 2007, you would not be perfect every time even be able to control what you do. I ve passed myself my issues but i have a very bad dystonia ( muscle memory and neuronologic deoorcordonating ) when i was 26. My left foot was doing his own thing past a certain thing, it wasn't with my snare. I had to stop play 2 months and re learning the thing the feet . Now its fine, i changed things, but you know sometimes i got in certain rythms a little very little delay, i can't do much about it. So since that i shut up when it comes to guys that did tours like crazy i never did. Take things as they come. Lars prooved he was great. Since few years hes back on some form in his current set ups. He plays good.
Metallica was innovative at the time. Lars was innovative on the drums at the time. The level of playing for drummers, or any musician has grown exponentially since. The next generations of drummers coming up with El Estapario Siberiano as an influence are going again, to make the level of playing grow exponentially. Imagine what type of talent and skill drummers will have n 20 years from now…mind blowing! 🤯
Musicians often have a problem understanding that bands are not made for playing music for other musicians!!!! Frank Zappa said it too, who the f... Cares about what other musicians thinks, he didn't play for other musicians!!! Finally, without Lars, ZERO METALLICA!
its so fuc.. easy to sit and be the judge of a few concert when they have thrown a thousands. getting cheap comments on trashing Lars seems to be the thing. That man has been a part of some of the greatest music on earth, and still people are thinking they could do it better. well if its so Fu... easy buy a kit, make a band and be the Goat, as Metallica was back in the days
I love Metallica and Lars Bro. Thank you so much for your feedback. It's important people say if they agree or disagree. Hope you come back for more drums and maybe more Metallica! 🤜🤛
I think he’s lost his passion. He was an up and coming musician trying to make his mark. So, he has nothing to prove anymore and just has lot his passion for his art.
Yeah, it's just blows my mind how bad he messes up. He gets worse and worse. My opinion is the following : he never was a good drummer. He had some good ideas, and was lucky to start his career in an era that his style was cool and could cover his technical deficiencies.
Listen this is coming from me who loves both Lars and metallica, but Lars is by far the worst drummer of any big band and his playing is very sloppy and unrehearsed because his drumming technique is very bad, he have always just hit very hard without ever worrying about posture and stuff like that and it shows! especially now when he is older and cant keep that up anymore. This combined with almost no practice drumwise in the last 23 years results in what we hear today. I have discussed this with both friends and random people online through the years and many people to this day still seem to think that his playing is not good because he is old? i'm sorry but anyone that even remotely knows music in any capacity can both hear and see that Lars main struggles behind the kit is that i lacks any sort of real technique and stamina management and on top of that Lars don't know how to keep time. One of the worst offenders is his live playing during the chorus in sad but true try listening to that without wondering if he has ever heard that song before lol
Not impressive, anyone can make a video of someone's mistakes and say oh that guys terrible. And that bass guitar story is stupid. James said in a interview that during the making of justice that the band had hearing damage going into the studio from being on the road without headsets.
Listen kids, you weren't around when his drumming was setting everyone on their asses in the early days.
AJFA was ahead of most of us at that time.
Absolutely incredible album. Incredible drums. Incredible era. Incredible comment.
That double bass on One!
Just look on youtube for any list of modern drummer's list of most influential drummers. Lars is always mentioned.
You're not wrong there mate!

Absolutely not blaming him at all, just very interesting to watch and see how it unfolded. Thanks for your comment!
i agree but at the same time they would of gave him notice of what song he had to play
@@PKingHeroics that was my issue 😂

@@IASP17if they didn't tell Lars which songs he was performing, that is a massive fail from Guitar Hero!
Someone said my drumming was like Lars. At first I took it as a compliment. Went home and realized it was an insult. Yeah, I'm a bad drummer.
😂😂😂 definitely take it as a compliment regardless 💪

I know nothing about drums, however he is certainly entertaining to watch!! 🥁🔥❤️
Yeah if only he was a better drummer... he may had made it!
Hahaha love it! 💪

You're absolutely correct. It's starting to get a little bit out of hand. But don't we just love it??
They play a lot of notes but can they write good, original, arranged distinctive songs ?
If people don't understand why people think lars sucks, then you don't get drumming.
Lars is a brilliant drummer and musician and band mate
Cheers Shawn appreciate your input my friend!
Lars strikes me as someone who doesn't suffer for his art, rather his art suffers for him
😂
No, Lars can play drums. He's a helluva drummer. The problem is that he tends to get lazy at times.
Also, Metallica used to be called Alcohollica.
I think you should drum a UB40 track. Lars would like it. 👍 ❤😊
I've got him on speed dial. Let me check and get back to you. I'm up for it... 🔥
And don't worry lars will never know you.
That's a shame because I've been listening to his drums since 1990. And I love him.
Nothing against you buddy. It's just a fact.
No offense taken whatsoever.
came out the gates abit strong lol
Yes. Saw em front in the pit in August. He didn’t skip a beat. Jealousy is a stinky cologne.
Agree 100%. He was amazing when I saw him too. 🤜🤛

I absolutely agree. That's why I concluded he's a great drummer and had a laugh with it. Thank you for your comment, you're welcome back anytime!
He just doesn’t care anymore
Would you still care? Genuine question?
Love Metallica but no

i wonder if james wasn't as talented as he was if metallica would still be a thing let alone a household name
