Some may say they were stingy, but nonetheless it was fun to look at official deckboxes alongside perfume, handkerchief and other miscellaneous boxes.

The wooden box isn't even necessarily comically oversized. It's a deck-box container. It makes sense for someone who plans to play some casual games before/after, and brings multiple decks to play more evenly against different levels of opponents/wants to play a different format with friends.

There's a time when a guard had to check it out because he thought the wine case looked neat and laughed abit when he found out he uses it to store his vanguard decks in it.
I pretty much turned into a hyena from laughing. But honestly I‘m one of those with my deck box inside one of the Ultimate Guard Super Hives, cause that’s pretty handy for transport and holds my mat and dice as well. Or literally anything that has the right dimensions.

Honestly, I do need to get a deck box. The only one I technically have is this plastic case for playing cards, and unfortunately, with my cards in card sleeves, it is way too small to actually hold my deck. Only really use it for my extra deck and/or side deck. So I have to use a tin for my main deck. Although I did have the foresight to save the actual plastic filler piece that comes with the tins so my cards don't freely move around and get really damaged.
