Tip from a former breakfast line cook: Cook your breakfast link sausages in the deep fryer. It's fast and you get beautifully even browning and a nice crisping on the outside.

This is a cool idea. Only thing missing IMO is syrup. I think instead of the typical egg wash you would put on top of a pie you could incorporate a thin layer of butter and syrup in an egg wash and coated the top crust and had a crunchy hint of sweetness in there

🥓So glad to see the bacon weave! I do this method for all my sandwiches that have bacon on them, especially burgers. The only difference is I use 2 pieces of bacon cut in half both across and lengthwise creating 1/4 of a rasher and then weave all eight little slices in the same manner and it fits perfectly on a burger! No bacon falling off, no dreaded baconless bites! I dare you to try it.🥓

Use sugar as pie weights. When it’s blind baked you can remove and re-use the sugar as normal. After 3 blind bakes you get a lovely slightly golden sugar that you can use 1:1 in sweet recipes to give sugar cookies etc a little more special flavor.

Once again, amazing work gents. Respectfully, I submit the following minor changes: 1 - crumpled sausage instead of links placed in the same layer; 2 - more gravy, both in that layer and over the top after it's cooked; 3 - a little syrup over top of the pancake, maybe poke some holes in the pancake to absorb the syrup so it's not running everywhere; 4 - scrambled cheesy eggs instead of fried eggs.

Looks amazing. I would have maybe found a way to get some cheese in there too. Also would have went with ground patty sausage instead of links for a little more even structure. Could precook the sausage as a giant patty on the flat top a bit before putting it in the pie. But make one of these and feed 6 to 8 people.

This looks fantastic! If you’re interested in doing more breakfast recipes, I’ve got an idea for you: Monte Cristo stuffed French toast Benedict. Yeah. French toast stuffed with smoked turkey, Black Forest ham, and Swiss cheese, covered with a poached egg. Maybe with a choice of drowning it in hollandaise or dipping it in raspberry jam.

    I’d make a couple changes.
Really undercook the eggs or maybe a really soft scramble. Possibly cracking raw eggs into the pie. Can’t imagine they wouldn’t cook.
Use either a waffle or pancake, not both. Maybe a blueberry waffle or flavor of choice. Use quality maple syrup on the side.

Perfect pancake! People never butter the pan enough, it makes it so much better!

Sam you would have made my nan a very happy lady with your pie.
Her favourite thing to make was a beef pie on a Sunday for dinner I miss that she passed away in 2008.
Thanks for bringing back the happy memory

Springform pan seems like a good idea
And some cheese would be good.

I like pies of any kind and this looks like a winner, Max missed out with the wet and dry hand method " that's what she said"". great job.

Use a spring form pan. Easy to release the pie then.
