Very fun project!
Perhaps look into oil washes for the real 'dirty' look, even on the skin.
Silly putty can be used for more tricky areas when masking, like the eyes, instead of masking tape. Give it a shot.

Blue poster tack makes an awesome masking material for those harder to cover details. Much easier than tape!
Great job! It is interesting that a lot of 3d printing creators do a lot of printing, but don't do a lot of finishing. Love to see it!

Silly putty makes for a very good paint mask for detail parts like the eyes. blue poster tack also works but doesn't come off as easily.

Honestly your paint job came out pretty great! I know lit has a tendency to be uneven so if you put it in your spray gun the glow will be more even 👍🏼
Yeah agreed. Really wish I tried to tape off the eyes and air brush that in. I would have more than likely sprayed it all over the face by accident 😂

Great work. One recommendation, look into oil washes, i.e. grunge washes. They can create a really awesome dirty look and I use them on everything now.

I really enjoyed this video! As an avid painter watching things like this are great for learning new tips and things about painting. If anything maybe go into the painting process a little deeper and what you post-painting process is (varnish? etc.) But I would definitely love to see more of these! Thanks Uncle Jessy!

Using clear resin with the glow in the dark powder was genius
Great print, great paint job, and a really fun and informative video. Loved the use of the clear resin for that "wet look". It's a little heavy on the Elegoo promo but that seems to be common in a lot of your videos... at least you're open about them sponsoring you so can't really complain too much. Definitely interested in seeing more step-by-step videos like this though.

I really like the how you used the translucent for the eyes I might do that for my painting projects.
I don't know if you did this or not but I do recommend clear coating sections that you are done painting(like the helmet area) to seal the paint. If not ya'll end up repainting areas that were removed because you touched it.
Ohhh great tip! I actually forgot to clear coat this project. I need to do that before I screw it up haha

Love your stuff Uncle Jessy! Would love to see an updated vid of your full sanding/priming process, explaining how you use your woodfiller, what grit sandpapers you use, if you still use XTC3D, just everything you do to get rid of print lines for a smooth paint job on you FDM prints! :)

Dude this is freaking awesome. I've always been hesitant to paint my own because my past experience I've ruined the paint jobs.
If you ever want to make a believable flesh tone the colors to mix are Red, White, Yellow, and a tiny bit of green.

Just printed this! Looked awesome! I’m no Steven Richter, or even Andy Richter so I will set the bar a bit lower.
I loved this vid and the sculpt, but of the 3 episodes of what if..? There hasn't been a zombie cap. But the clip in the beginning was the right style. But sure if it's from an episode not out yet, but still awesome video. I wish I had a resin printer, my filament printer would take so long to print a bust like this.
Yeah its from a few of the trailers, i think the original trailer last year had the most footage in it. Pops up in the intro as well ;) A lot of fun on this one. Filament printer at a low res might do the job.

Clear nail polish to the eyes gives the same effect as the resin.

Hello @Uncle Jessy ! I see you're still using wham bam's flexible build plate and I'm hesitating to buy one for my Mars 2 Pro. Are you using it with Vroom settings? Did you have any accident like the plate falling in the VAT during printing or prints not adhering to it?
