    Finding da perch again.
    Yes that was an adder . I was bit by one in Battlesbridge a few yrs ago. Thought it was a grass snake. No joke...grass snakes flee Adders coil up and do battle...like the vipers they are...

    Google scaling dam for pike bud. One of the best for big pike in the north east. But heard of reports of some big ones coming out of the river wear too in Durham but few and far between

      I work for Northumbrian Water buddy, so Scaling is one of the waters we run. Not had a chance to have a proper go at it yet. 🤙🏻🎣

      @TheIllustratedAngler ahh lovely mate. I'm consett myself, you've got some of the best water in the northeast to go at. North Tyne is amazing for salmon amd sea trout. I'm going to have a look up the derwent for pike next weekend, as I had no idea they were doing these extra tickets now till your videos. Have a feeling I know where abouts you were as I always thought that side looked very pikey. Will use your tactics too. Love the content absolutely invaluable. Should have a go up the Northumberland coast Sea fishing off the rocks. Its my summer go to. Fishing light and rock hopping. Had some amazing days on the lures at my feet up there. And it's stunning

    Great video 👍🏻 Can you disclose the venue?

    • @TheIllustratedAngler
      @TheIllustratedAngler  10 месяцев назад +1

      I can’t unfortunately. It already gets some unwanted attention from people poaching and I don’t really want to draw any more attention by naming it. Hope you understand. 🤙🏻🎣

    • @TheIllustratedAngler
      @TheIllustratedAngler  10 месяцев назад

      Sort of 😂 I can’t get too specific I’m afraid mate as I don’t really want to put too much pressure on it by naming it. Hope that makes sense. 🤙🏻🎣

      @@TheIllustratedAngler Nice to see that outlook, TBH. Quite surprised to see these fish coming out of here - not fished it for years and time was, there was little in here but a few solitary trout ... one or two other waters, much smaller than this, very close by. Never used to be the crayfish there, either.
