I actually hope WIT Studio doesn't go overboard with battle animation because there still has to be a sense of upscaling power levels gradually. For example, if they immediately go with Zoro moving and slicing faster than the naked eye can see vs. Hachi, I think it may detract from the overall long-term presentation.
My favorite little tidbit of the remake is that its going to be UNCENSORED, meaning that we're gonna be getting hella blood, hella battle damage, EVERYTHING.

I can see One Piece growing to the level of the MCU eventually as we get all these different versions and of course there will be spin-offs at some point
I would say OP is bigger. The MCU is done. Has been since Endgame. One Piece though has been going on strong for decades. And the MCU are several IPs, while OP is just one.
@@hallarious506That's a valid point. OP is definitely probably bigger worldwide. I was mainly thinking from the point of having a lot of different IPs. Maybe a twopiece, a prequel, and other characters spinoff shows and movies.
To clarify the THE ONE PIECE director ONLY directed seasons 2-3 of AOT. Tetsuro, Araki did seson 1 & is 1 of the main ppl that was apart of givin the AOT anime under WIT it's visual style/techniques. The other 1 jus took that & kept it up the rest of the way under WIT till the studio change
just imagining if the new anime and old anime reach a point where they show the same segment. like in the og anime luffy's actual dream is revealed and the new anime is at post marinefords showing the first scene where luffy shouts his dream. Kinda like how shanks haki burst attack was shown at the same time when film red was released and in the manga
Mayumi Tanaka is 69 years old...im allowed to be a little worried about her being cast as Luffy again, as much as i struggle to imagine Luffy sounding any other way
I find it funny how people are saying how nice it will be to have a one-piece series with all the same animation. But like that's not going to happen, even if this anime covers 3-4 chapters per episode. It will still go on for a decade at least. it's going to be new techniques and animation discovered and the WIT egghead arc will look vastly different than the WIT East blue saga
Can we take a moment to gawk at how the promo art perfectly mimics Oda's coloring style? Or maybe it's confirmed that Oda marker-ed these himself?? If we get authentic marker work for any still work in the actual show, I'm hype town from there on in!
I can hear Luffy having a male voice actor. Not anything crazy like a super deep voice. But a more lighthearted male voice I can see fitting him if they were to go that route.
Well hey. If you want another great manga series to waste some time on. I'd highly suggest Dorohedoro by the wonderfully talented Q Hayashida. The manga's only 23 books long, but has a story and art style you'll not see anywhere else. There is also an anime done by Mappa if you don't want to fork out on the books. Currently only one season is out covering the first 8 books, but season 2 is in the works.
The dog isn't holding off the Buggy crew... he holding back the villagers who are going after them for taking out the mayor. Then the Straw Hats run away and the mayor has to call out his thanks from the shore.
I'm genuinely so excited. Loving One Piece is hard to share when there's 1000+ episodes / chapters to. And I get there being detractors but One Piece prints money so of course companies would jump on the opportunity to work with the IP. AND DAMN, it looks pretty.
honestly wondering how fast paced 'the one piece' will be. cause if they cover more than 100 chapters a year they might actually catch up by the end of one piece-
I think it is good to have different versions of One Piece. Whether it is the Original anime, the post-time skip, the live-action and OVA. Sometimes a mixed flavor would be nice. The FairyOdd Parents just got a sequel/reboot, and it is getting much love, and Ducktales got good reviews. I am open to changes 🏴☠👍
I liked your point about letting new people coming in and do the new voices, as someone who watched a lot of anime and other animations in Brazilian-PR, listening to the original not always was better for me. Being open-mind to this helps, and sometimes you could like the new one better
And the last thing before i sleep, the egg on rogers ship is a dragons egg, dont know yet why, but its hinted at egghead when right next to the hatched egg is a hologrammed dragon. The size really says it too.
I've been seeing a lot of misinformation about the concept art that was released and shown throughout this video being called "screenshots" when that's not the case, just wanted to clarify that for everyone. Don't believe the title of that one article or video from IGN falsely claiming these are screenshots. But other than that, the CONCEPT ART is really good and the animation when they actually make it is gonna be so clean 🔥Also with the whole bit about the voice actors, I just hope whoever voices Luffy (assuming it is NOT Mayumi Tanaka) is someone chosen by her to be a successor of sorts, which is likely something that will be done with Masako Nozawa at some point given her age. Can't wait to see this when it comes out, especially after recently dropping the Toei anime
I think having Kaya's room on the first floor means she doesnt even get to dream of being outside by having a view. She's so limited by her illness and her situation that she can't even have a view of the sea to wish for adventure.
I mean, there were VA changes throughout the anime if i remember correctly. And it bothered me for like 5 episodes and than it was fine. Well, for luffy it might be a different Story because the voice is just so iconic.
I think its a good thing this one is coming out because 1. We get earlier arcs with amimation that isant limited to what was out almost 15-30 years ago 2. If someone new wanted to get into one piece this wond probrably be the way to go since both the manga and old anime will have probrably around 1300+ chapters and episodes but if this one avoids the pacing problems of dressrosa and a couple other big arcs i could see this being half that at most
Honestly seeing them refer to props and draw frames while looking at the manga pages made me even more excited. I love how detailed all the concept art is. I love that you can tell Zoro and Sanji have different builds and body types in the character sheets. And while they should maybe saturate everything a little more, I love the marker look. It looks just like the color spreads. I hope they keep it. But the production team is crazy! The _Attack on Titan_ director, the director of _Jujutsu Kaisen_ as your assistant director, the character designer and chief animation director of _Attack on Titan_ and _Spy x Family,_ the action animators for the remake worked on _Boruto_ and _My Hero Academia,_ the writer of _Ranking of Kings,_ and the remakes’s animation producer also worked on _Attak on Titan!_ What‽ The board member of WIT in the video said he first heard about the project 4-5 years ago which means they’ve been discussing doing a remake since Wano. I love that they really seem to be sticking to manga fidelity. But I also hope that they play when it comes to stuff set up early, but we now know 1000 chapters later. For instance, in Buggy’s fight with Shanks during the Orange Town flashback, we now know Rayleigh was the pirate who broke it up. So show us young Rayleigh from the Oden flashback. Don’t just make it the random pirate Oda had to retcon into Rayleigh. Show other of the Roger pirates like Scopper, whom we meet in the Oden flashback. But maybe not Crocus or Oden. At Reverse Mountain, show us Yorkie, not the captain who would have to be retconned into Yorkie. Show us a character from the back that could be Brook. The Supernovas weren’t planned so maybe foreshadow them a bit with reports and new stories about other rookies tearing up other seas. Do what the Live Action did with those Foxy and Cavendish posters. And I hope they capture those moments in the early manga that when a character genuinely smiles, they shine in the panel.
I hope they're not afraid to take some creative liberties and switch things around like what WIT did with Attack on Titan. Just so the experience is fresh for people who have already read through the story.
For the new dub they should use iñaki godoy, Hell get him for the sub too since he's learning Japanese xD Atleast that way the voice acting would be consistent between the modern stuff and less jarring for those swapping between
13:52 its the scene at the end of the arc where the people of the village thought strawhats hurt the mayor so they attacked strawhats but shushu came and stopped the villagers
I also want to see scenes from the SBS animated, such as Law meeting Bepo, Penguin, and Shachi, or Kid's backstory with Killer and Victoria.... I mean Kid's backstory in general would be nice too but anyway... 😅
Mozenrath was also played by 2 different people and I don't recall anyone noticing until Disney or someone involved with the Aladdin series spilled the beans. So someone wlse could play the Straw Hats.
I understand the current Luffy VA (Mayumi Tanaka) is too old and too busy but Her voice is so perfect with Luffy. Even the fun/exclamation voices are so perfect. I don't mind if they change VAs for other characters but Luffy is totally different. If Luffy voice is too serious most of the time and no fun, it will be just the mediocre anime voices. I hope they can find another perfect VA for Luffy since the current VA is really old. Even though she can help with the early remake episodes, there is no way she can do it for another 10+ years.
I think Greg Cipes the voice of Shiro from Hyperforce Go! & Teen Titans Beast Boy would be a great voice for Monkey D. Luffy in the English dub of this OP reboot.
having new voice actors will evoke feelings similar to having characters remade as well (think legend of the galactic heroes remake), or watching it in dub (English VAs)
Here is what is even more crazy, The letter V is often apparent in these guys of celestial dragon. If you put together the D initial and the V initial. You get D.V. Since roger was found laugjing and crying at the same time when he found one piece that is. D.V. is an island called Death Valley. Roger said i left it there. Maybe with there he refers to his memories. His treasure has a good chance to be in god valley. And a finish with god valley would make so much sense for an arc. But wait, as all odas triologys, there is a third tribe, a neutral one.
So excited for this and i hope its like db kai. I have so many friends who wont even start the series because of the length. But i think theyd give the remake a chance
Hey tekking, Love your Videos. Just wanted to to add that in Germany they brought Back the voiceactors from the Anime Back to do the voices of the Life Action one from Netflix and it was really important imo. The voices actor from Zoro died at one Point and it was so off putting that i had to Switch to the original in japanese. I really Hope that they get at least a few original japanese voiceactors for "the one piece" :)
I feel like they might be able to take oportunities that Toei didnt have because they were adapting near the time each arc was going on so I think they should add little hints and easter eggs that we could point out while watching. I also saw the quote where Oda wanted them to not stick just stick to the source material rather they should put their own spin on it AMAZING VIDEO AS ALWAYS
12:52 Teach him Ryuō and he can essentially do piercing damage lol Doesn't matter if he can't stab with the oars, his haki would hurt them. 13:54 he didn't hold off pirates, it was the citizens of Orange Town. They thought Luffy and co were with Buggy so they were chasing off the evil pirates that attacked their mayor.
They should update things like shimotsuki, obviously not mention wano but it would be cool for both new fans and current fans to recognise different Easter eggs

@@edartis In all honesty, I think not having that is the reason its still going well. Although a marine spinoff would be great.
Looks like Scopper Gaban in that shot with Shanks and Buggy
Mayumi Tanaka is 69 years old...im allowed to be a little worried about her being cast as Luffy again, as much as i struggle to imagine Luffy sounding any other way
I find it funny how people are saying how nice it will be to have a one-piece series with all the same animation.
But like that's not going to happen, even if this anime covers 3-4 chapters per episode. It will still go on for a decade at least. it's going to be new techniques and animation discovered and the WIT egghead arc will look vastly different than the WIT East blue saga
It's WIT Studio, If you give them the ingredients, they are gonna cook up a Michelin.
Can we take a moment to gawk at how the promo art perfectly mimics Oda's coloring style? Or maybe it's confirmed that Oda marker-ed these himself?? If we get authentic marker work for any still work in the actual show, I'm hype town from there on in!
I literally did not know iroh was voiced by someone else later on in avatar
I can hear Luffy having a male voice actor. Not anything crazy like a super deep voice. But a more lighthearted male voice I can see fitting him if they were to go that route.
If i remember right Choo Choo is blocking off villagers, not pirates.
I’ve been hearing your voice for hours, listening to Isekai DnD at work.
I was here thinking you were talking about Oars as in the ancient giant. So I imagined Zoro commanding three Oars to beat Lucci and stuff for a second
5:37 I know that exact scene from none piece, when they edited him spit the apple back and the coin flips back into his hand lol
I just caught up with Kingdom manga and I NEED you to talk about it!
I'm most excited for the more detailed backgrounds, the Baratie is going to GORGEOUS
I think its a good thing this one is coming out because
1. We get earlier arcs with amimation that isant limited to what was out almost 15-30 years ago
If I’m not mistaken, they did “The Fast and Furious”, “Fast and Furious”, and “The Fast and The Furious”. 😂
For the new dub they should use iñaki godoy, Hell get him for the sub too since he's learning Japanese xD Atleast that way the voice acting would be consistent between the modern stuff and less jarring for those swapping between
13:52 its the scene at the end of the arc where the people of the village thought strawhats hurt the mayor so they attacked strawhats but shushu came and stopped the villagers
if wit called it the 2piece that would be quite witty of them
9:00 also when one piece started coming out anime budgets were pretty bad. The early 2000s were not kind to animation.
Hey Tekking! I love you! Also, where did you get the sticker thats on your mic??
Shoulda been "The Second Piece"
You reminded me about the old one piece abridged, voice for luffy
having new voice actors will evoke feelings similar to having characters remade as well (think legend of the galactic heroes remake), or watching it in dub (English VAs)
Chu-Chu held off the townspeople while the Straw Hats escaped them and the mayor was still knocked out.
13:37 I believe this is when the villagers chased them out of town after defeating buggy
Barry’s getting ready for Halloween, early.
🎃👻🧛
Tekking101 you need to start a one piece cooking channel if you ever need video ideas, I would deff watch that 👍
Here is what is even more crazy, The letter V is often apparent in these guys of celestial dragon.
12:52 Teach him Ryuō and he can essentially do piercing damage lol
Doesn't matter if he can't stab with the oars, his haki would hurt them.
13:54 he didn't hold off pirates, it was the citizens of Orange Town. They thought Luffy and co were with Buggy so they were chasing off the evil pirates that attacked their mayor.
Pretty sure mat is the friend we’ve made along the way… to me tekking is the treasure beyond laughtale
They should update things like shimotsuki, obviously not mention wano but it would be cool for both new fans and current fans to recognise different Easter eggs
It has a very neat art style, and the colour palette is pretty. I think it fits the romance/adventure trope of One Piece very well.
I’m excited for The One Piece because my son will watch it with me and I don’t mind rewatching the anime with all the filler content cut out.
He really wants to watch it but it’s so outdated for him he can’t get into it which I don’t blame him he’s only 12 lmao
