It might also be good to note that the movies are also graded in HDR10+ . It was a pleasant surprise on my Samsung QLED and Panasonic UHD player!
My Amazon order has been delayed, patiently waiting for my set! Great to hear the picture and audio is good! The reason I didn't get the steelbook is because I like the poster artwork on the digibook!
Agreed the 4k set is cheaper and better to get than the steelbook I like the digibook artwork as well

Great Scott! It's finally been released. I've been waiting for this trilogy to arrive on 4k Blu-ray for such a long time. For many months I checked the internet every single day to see if there was any news about a 4k Blu-ray release of the Back to the Future trilogy. Then it was finally announced and I saw this Amazon Exclusive with the levitating Hoverboard and I just had to have it. I'm from Europe, so it's going to take about two weeks for it to arrive.
Just picked up my copy of the steelbook set yesterday and am so looking forward to watching it today in Dolby Vision +Atmos! Great review!
I bought the Amazon 4K blu ray set that comes with the mini floating hoverboard... finally the movie gets the treatment it always deserved
Update - hubby loved the steelbook edition - thanks again for the great videos - I would not have purchased the steelbook previous to watching this video :) I would have went with the regular 4k version on amazon.

Back to the future is one of my favourite trilogies of all time and I can't wait to experience the 4K transfer when I get the box set for christmas
I got the Best Buy steelbook set in the mail yesterday, it is very nice, so glad I got it.
I just bought that Best Buy steelbook as well. I haven't watched it yet but nice to see someone say that they didn't notice any DNR used because ive seen some reviews where they say they noticed it here and there. So happy to own these though!
Super pumped to check out this set! I agree I think the original movie is an all time classic and would be in my top 10 for sure.

Great set, picked it up as well. Love the case art. Just wish they put them in a metal box like the Avengers 4K set.
The definitive must own physical media version. These are something that stays on your shelf until a 8k version is released 20 yrs from now or until they end up in a estate sale.
I hope we continue seeing more physical media releases. These streaming services are spreading like a virus.

This is my all time favorite movie I have the VHS, DVD,Blu ray & now Upgraded to the Blu ray 4K format I picked up the Steelbook edition I love that the films are individually in separate cases compare to a digipack style that the other blu ray versions are (25th& 30th) Anniversary editions
I play these films often so being now on 4K will definitely be my favorite 4K movies and my 2nd steelbook pick up
I’m torn between the regular digipack version of this and getting the steelbook edition. I like having the discs in sturdier cases (the steelbooks), but I don’t think the steelbooks come with a collector’s booklet (I always love getting those), which I’m pretty sure the digipack includes. Any opinions to help me sway one way or another?
No booklet included with the Steelbook set. Honestly, go with what feels right for you. I’m biased to steelbooks of course. 😂

The jbl 9.1 sound bar is the one I’m leaning to atm but a bit pricey hopefully Black Friday there is a sale
Jose I’m not too familiar with soundbars, I go with a regular speaker setup so I can’t speak to the quality of what makes a good sound bar.

I upgraded to 4k Blu-ray from DVD. I never upgraded any DVDS to Blu-ray
Ordered my steelbook edition on aug 17 from Best Buy. They back ordered me. Didn’t have a release day so I cancelled my expensive steelbook and went with the standard release from amazon for about half the price. Really disappointed by Best Buy. Ordered two months ahead wasn’t enough. I’ll forget that I own a standard edition and be happy that Best Buy didn’t get my money for poor service.
Are the blu rays the newly remastered versions not the 30th anniversary editions
The Blu Ray discs included is the same 4K scan but without the HDR
Can your tv support 3d?
My LG C9 no, the Sony XBR 850c I have in the other room does.
