CV Driving Scania S520 - Trouble passing eachother on a narrow road in Norway

- Sorry that I haven't uploaded anything for a while. Driving on a road 55 to Høyanger. Here you can see a bit difficult situation on a narrow road when trucks meet eachother in the worst place possible.
No cargo on my truck.

10:05 if you want to skip. Little bit harsh braking by me there also as I was watching in the mirror instead of to the front.
Kristo Boginski where it was?
Very nice video .. I was totally on the edge of my seat, like watching a thriller. Beautiful landscape and quality driving!
Your videos are beautiful, but I have advice. I hope you take them. Use two cameras on the right net and the second on the left net, and so on, so that the mirrors will light up while driving

SO TRUE ;DDDDD
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Haha :D
A camera on the right rear corner of the trailer would've been amazing on this route. I can't imagine how nervous Americans or Aussies must feel about the narrow roads :)
Easy, practice in Alaska (USA) first for a year, after that this would be an easy Sunday stroll;) we drive on dusty 1.5 lane dirt/snowy roads without guard rails. Instead of tunnels we drive over the mountains!
We have this kind of road in the US! I live near a road that meanders down to a river (hairpin after hairpin), over the River then back up in the same fashion. I've run across a semi who was stuck on a hairpin, had to get out and help direct him out of his situation lol. I think he was a new driver.
I wonder how europeans would feel driving through 500 miles of tundra in alaska with 2 petrol stations along the route or through the desert in the outback with unpaved roads and no one to help you is a 400 mile radius.
@@JeepCherokeeful I think they have snow in Norway as well lol
@@JeepCherokeeful you know, Norwegians get a bit of snow each winter as well ... of course, Norway has spent quite a bit of money building more than a thousand road tunnels across the country, but still at many places you need to go over the mountain plateau to this day.
Omg dude, that was insane from 10:05 to 16:30
You are awesome to be so calm in this situation.
Have a good rides!
Greetings from Lithuania
The dude has probably gone through a lot like this, but still pretty amazing to see
This is intense but it's cool to see other drivers respect each other and try to help one another get through. Makes me really appreciate the roads and routes we have in America. A lot more open space
Mountainside roads always will be on the smaller side
Well not all roads in Europe are like this
Here I am 2years later still wytin for Kristo to put up new videos , nothing beats the sound of that V8 , blissful
I can just imagine how difficult those roads are in winter when it's snowing and icing.
and in the middle of summer with a lot of tourists with campers and caravans...., many do not know how to go in reverse..)
Rimrock300
Btw I was planning my first summer trip to Norway with my caravan... 😁
Welcome;) Just take it easy around the corners when on some these kind of narrow roads)
Hehe, we have similar roads in Scotland. The same issue with the tourists in summer, however we have the added pain that many continental drivers will panic and dive to the right when they meet oncoming traffic. Obviously we drive on the left, never seem to have a problem on any other road but some rural single track roads tourists seem to forget that you always yield to the left not the right here :D
You're a professional driver in true sense man! What a splendid driving and judgement of road and space!
Who's watching the right side mirrors to see how close he was to the wall ?
he was driving VERY close to walls at some point
@@wraeclastjanitor8849 it is also a wider camera view, which makes it look closer than it is
@@motoaddiction9177 Yea. True.

That was a very narrow ride man good driving skill hats off man
Good driving skills? Good joke... learn to drive! He doesn't even hold right the steering wheel. Tire explosion and you have 100% crash. Go back to school.
Pułkownik Chorągwi Pancernej I have never saw a pro driver holding a wheel in a “right/school” position for a long drive. That will only cause fatigue. Good driver is relaxed, paying attention but in a relaxed way.
Kevon Boss Whar do you mean? It dont understand?
@@pulkownikchoragwipancernej1612 Noob who learnt driving in schools telling other ppl how to drive...moron...Learn from school n u will die the first minute in these roads...noobs like u can't drive anywhere except straight highways with no traffic.
@@pulkownikchoragwipancernej1612 shut the fuck up you idiot, you probably don't even have your drivers license yet
Looks very stressful man...you have good skills!
Salute to you, real king of the road!

So relaxing to watch!
I wish ETS 2 traffic would add such update, a tight situation update 😂😂😂
Nice driving Kristo!
Beautiful landscapes around. Everywhere is clean and comfortable. Adequate drivers who treat each other with respect and understanding. The quality of roads of the highest level. In Russia, there is only nature and everything else is alien to this region with its mentality.
Perfect experience shown here..safe trucking to you!!

You are really amazing, this narrow road can also cope, you have worked hard!
Hello
Beautyful landcape :))
Omg, did the truck infront of you reverse his tandem? Pro driving right there
That is a straight trailer, no different to reverse than a semi. We do drive dolly trailers too, and yes, we have to reverse those as well. A little different than reversing a semi or straight trailer, but still no problem once you know it :) .
finelaffen are you sure. look at 10:08 that truck's a tandem. or maybe it's the one with the normal trailer+another dolly. Definitely not a straight trailer.
Yes, it's a tandem with a straight trailer. Straight truck, one pivot point at the trailer connector, and a straight trailer. Reverses just like a semi. I drove (and reversed) one like that yesterday, so I know. I do prefer reversing dolly trailers, though.
finelaffen oh my bad. Thank you, now I get it. I thought it was these guys ( imgur.com/gYQWRNK ). These guys are tandem trailers too right? And they're attached to a dolly? Do these types of trailers (with two pivot points) have a specific name? I've driven those on ETS2 and reversing them is impossible for me. Hats-off to you!
When you say you prefer reversing dolly trailers, which ones do you mean? The one with two pivot points or with the one?
fantastic man..love from india..indeed brave and smart driving..love watching it.
Great vid!!!
Amazing driving 👍👍
I think you are the best driver.
How are you so relaxed man :) I'd freak out even in a normal car there :D Nice driving skills!
Bro you can tell this guy has been driving for more a than a decade
when you get use to driving a truck, you'd freakout on a car, driving a truck is much easier than car
Bravo :) very precise driving ,wow ,perfect :)
Jesus, i've watched only a minute so far, but my eyes are glued to the right rearview mirror, seeing how expertly close you are to the barrier
Need these roads in ProMods! Beautiful yet challenging :)
Я просто удивляюсь с его спокойствия и уверенности на фуре по таким дорогам .Как будто он едет на бизнес классе.Кто бы ,что бы не писал ,но он профи в своём деле.У него видно дар

You are lucky you have a very powerful truck in these hills.. Here in Himalayas people still drive old underpowered trucks even without powerstearing.. I feel very sad for them
Even here in the philippines, old trucks still on the road :/
in Indonesia too. Many people use old trucks for extreme road. mostly result in crash (falling off, etc).
@@mastprime4094 Id say 40-60% of the trucks in Philippine Roads are old af. I often see new - 5 years old Asian, American and Euro trucks on the expressways and Subic that's a good thing
The trucks here may not have good exterior and interior , but most of them have current generation power train and chasis. And 85% of trucks running through Himalaya are not tractor units pulling semi trailers , they are mostly box type 14 wheelers so they have sufficient power for those works and most of them do have power steering but still i see some old trucks on those roads
great Job ! Thanks for the vids !
best driver,
i like da way u drive brue
