This non ironically sends me a shiver down my spine whenever I watch it. I mean, he destroyed the gaul tribes against impossible odds then rather than being proclaimed a hero, he was ordered to disband troops and return to rome but rather than doing that, he had the massive pp energy to say no, thus triggering a civil war he wasn't likely to win against his best friend and after 4 years of fighting, and finally triumphing and being hailed, in the peak of his power and glory, he is assassinated by those he trusted the most. As epic as those stories lives were, I am glad I live in the exact point of history you get to see that through doge memes. What a time to be alive

I have spent a lot of time learning as much as I can about Rome and it's history and I am actually amazed at how many things are in here that I am just going, "Okay, yeah I see what this is representing." and "That is a VERY condensed version of what happened in Egypt during the Civil war, but it gets the point across."
