Listen. It’s a wonderful tablet for kids. We’ve had ours for over a year and it’s taken a beating, but still going strong. Our 2, now 3 year old adores this thing. It’s non addictive and educational in the best ways. We have total peace of mind with this piece of tech in our kids hands. The content on it even grows with your kid. Well worth the money and any perceived tradeoffs. Our child was actually non-verbal before getting him this tablet. We hugely credit leapfrog for their educational content and the great progress he’s made. He’s talking non stop now.
That's amazing to hear!! Leapfrog has been around for a long time, and there's definitely a reason why. We're glad you found something that worked for you :) thank you for sharing with our community!
Just got two tablets for my sons 2 1/2 and 4 1/2! So so amazing! I’m right there with them and we do this for schooling. The $30 yearly can hold up to 5 child profiles for the curriculum. I’ve never seen anything so creative, easy to manage, and so educational! I got each tablet for 74.99 and added protection plans 2years. My 4 year old knows his way to what he wants on this, and we’ve only spent 2 hours on it since we got it yesterday. So worth it and a good start up for toddlers to prep for pre k!🙂
I use to have one of those a long time ago played math missions all the time and SpongeBob mostly I wish I could play math missions again sigh for the childhood nostalgia
I actually own a bunch of these mostly for experimenting and security research purposes, two of them being the earlier MediaTek-powered models and more recently one that's identical to the unit you reviewed. The latter is a newer revision from 2021 running off the Rockchip RK3326, which in all honesty is a bargain-bin processor struggling to run anything but a lightweight OS. My friends and I managed to get custom Android ROMs to boot on this thing for the express purpose of repurposing the LeapPad once the user outgrew it. That being said, do you guys offer kernel sources for the Goally tablet? That would be more than welcome and actually sustainable to keep these devices functional for as long as possible.
@@ooo-iz9dn I'll have to draft up a guide for modding the RK3326 LeapPad tho. GSI ROMs do work on it but there are some issues my friend and I have to address first.
@@thereturnofqueennefertiti2303 we aren't sure why you can't connect to the internet, you'd have to reach out to Leapfrog for help. We also aren't advertising Leapfrog, we paid for the product and reviewed it on our own :)

We felt similarly! Slightly nostalgic, and for $100 it wasn't too bad!

is there any forums online for this so parents can upgrade the tablet themselves?

@@ooo-iz9dn Do you have the newer revision with Android 10 or the older one with Kitkat?
@@ooo-iz9dn I'll have to test this thoroughly before I write up an extensive guide tho.
