Brilliant iv been a RC modeler for 40 years built from plans all my modeling life. And built 4 cubs and I still fly a 140" span cub to this day with a flat twin. love your ATTITUDE to our great hobby for real RC aircraft. Not the on line BOX JOBS. WELL DONE AND ALL THE BEST . THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH US.
That was one of the most satisfying maiden flight videos I have ever seen. Pilot not standing in the middle of the runway! Beautiful landing. Nice. Need a call sign on that fuse . Very nice mate. Cheers! ( I too am sick of everyone trying to make money on you tube)
Hello from france I had a 20 DLE with WALBRO carburetter These are originaly made for chainsaw machines etc With full throttle or idle ,so at mid throttle the engine juste can t run nicely It sucks a little on low speed gas arrival and a little on high speed gas arrival, wich males mid throttle incertain . Your plane is MAGNIFIQUE Bravo
Nice to see it airborne! I hope the breakup in the engine is something simple. I am looking forward to seeing you put on a show with it at the fly-in's next year!
@@n1114v I'm not an expert with those engines, but from the sound of it, and the intermediate burbling, it sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Good luck finding it. I had a similar problem with a weed eater. Once I replaced the carb, it ran great.
Hi Andrew, The Cub looks great. You had an awesome maiden and even greased the landing. Can it get any better? You and the family have a Happy Labor Day and stay safe.
Watchet the covering how to and nice to see it fly. Once u are comfortable would like to see some low slow fly bys and touch and goes to show off that amazing color scheme. Please post the solution to the engine issue. Infernal combustion engines are my nemesis.
HELP!!!!!!!! Hi Andy I’m a huge fan of your videos I am new getting back into RC and we seem to have similar issues or did. I picked up a usedDLE 30 that seems to have the same issues you had with your cub. I also cleaned the carburetor and mess with the settings without any luck. I have a new ignition system on order I should receive it November 10, 2021. How did you fix your issue? My engine is gurgling the way yours did it in your video and also would pulsate. I’ve clean the carburetor put in a new fuel tank and next will be the ignition. Help! Did you fix yours?
I also have a old DLE 30 that also makes the pulsating idle. Did you ever figure out the issue? Where should I start. I do have the NGK plug and noticed it was not kept properly it will be my next attempt. What did you find if anything to fix it
@@n1114v hey Andrew sorry I reposted the same question I’m new to this RUclips stuff and I just saw your Reply. I did not think about too much heat I guess it is possible. However my DLE 30 Is mounted on a ultra stick the hanger 9. 80 inch but with the exact same issues you definitely could be right. I’ll still get the ignition because mine does show a lot of use in it. And I will definitely inspect the distance between my fuel line and pit style muffler. Again I love your videos to keep your interest. And I am also a huge fan of the chipmunk. Back in the day I had the Ohio RC Pepsi chipmunk as well as of course a Carl Goldberg chipmunk. I still have the Ohio RC plans and I’ve been tempted to enlarge them and possibly scratch build one but time will tail. Thanks again love the videos

Nice job! Best RC cub ever designed.
Agreed!
Beautiful field. This flight gives me impetus to get back to my 1/4 CWC rebuild.
Looking super nice. Very nice cover job. I need to grab me a high wing plane of some sort. I definitely love this one. Colors are perfect. Love blue.
Beautiful job covering. But a cub just ain’t a cub with out fabric covering but that just me. Great job and nice flying.
That turned out awesome and I want to thank you for not putting adds in I hate them as well good job 👍
Really sharp looking Cub Andy. I hope to see it fly in person yet this year.
Beautiful job and it looks like it will fly well. Thanks for sharing.
Nice job as usual keep us updated.

Just had the carburetor torn apart in the shop and can't find anything wrong, hopefully it'll work itself out

This is one good looking SiG Cub, or how German would say - Good & Tight!
Covid cub, lol, at least a good thing that happened in 2020, looks fantastic! Great job!!
Flies great! Waiting for a new carb for the DLE 30 so I can really have fun with it.
Sounds so pretty 😊

Beautiful job man God bless
Sounds like loading up at part throttle.
Awesome plane man.
Thanks bud!
I saw your vid on the white stripes (wing), but would love to see also the "seamless tail" covering vid. Can you post a link pls ? Thanks
I did a video on how I did the seamless tail during the construction of the airplane.
@@n1114v can you post a link to it PLS ? Thanks
@@georgevprochazka5316 just go to my channel. The video is titled SIG 1/4 clipped wing cub update!
beautiful airplane!
Very nice airplane and flight! What is your wing length now after clipping? I have a 1/4 scale cub with a 26cc and am contemplating a clipped wing.
86 or 88 inch depending on rib spacing
Beautiful

I sold the plane but the issue was the carb getting to much heat from the exhaust
