    Beautiful song but very, very sad… oh my.

      Why sad? It's a happy song, about a family welcoming their new daughter-in-law.

    Fantastic! I was looking for a gypsy jazz version of this tune. Even though it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, I was pleased to find your version of this classic, which seems to have more of a “bluegrass” feel (to my ears anyway). I don’t know anything about your band, so what is the name of the guitar player? He is not listed in the details. He has the feel of a bluegrass/ “flat picker” guitarist but his solo sounds wonderful in the context of this song. Regardless of narrow labels/ genres/ characterizations, a wonderful version. Bravo!

    Yo if it wasn't for Liev Schreiber directing everything is illuminated from the book to the movie and the soundtrack me and the people like we would never have heard the song but it goes right along with Gogol Bordello and Balkan beat box Etc now it's on the new Borat like it ain't no thing shout out to all the hungarians

    What is the instrument the person on the right is playing?

    • @playtheprecious
      @playtheprecious  8 лет назад +3

      Cimbalom. Pronounced with either a "ch" (most common, and how a Romanian would say it); or with an "s."

    This is great. The mispronunciation takes a bit away from it. If he had taken the trouble to listen to the original a few more times.
