You just saved my punch board from being thrown out the window!! Thanks for the tutorial!!
I bought an envelope punch board and used it for the first time today. I was attempting to make an envelope for a 5x7 card and it came out square. I followed your instructions and totally rocked it! Thank you for your excellent instructions! I am now glad I bought this.
Thank you so much I've been going crazy ruining so much paper trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong and I just did it your way and it worked out perfectly I don't know why they don't have that correct in the instructions but thank you for supplying this tutorial❣
Hello, Just tried to use my envelope board yesterday for the first time and it was defianately way of so I had to go back to my old board. Your demo was very helpful I will follow your instructions next time I'm going to use it.
Thanks so much.
Very thanks. I love the way you are so honest in your evaluation. I'll be so thankful if you do a video comparing this product vs Martha Stwart one.
This was very helpful! I was making large envelopes for a journal. I was getting so frustrated that my envelopes were not uniformed in size even though I was using the same measurements. Thank you for this tutorial!
Thanks, I was having such a hard time and just couldn't figure out how to make it work. So many of my envelopes were off, now I can make them work. What an easy fix. Your are a genius!
They fixed the 3x3 error on my board. I just bought this last weekend and had the same problems as you when I first tried it out. I was so bummed about it, but now that I found this video I understand it more. Thanks so much for making us CraftSmarties xoxo
10 years later and this is still helpful! Thank you so much for posting!
Thanks for the so honest video......I think they need to go back to the drawing board and fix the issues then I'm sure it'll make it's debut on HSN 'cause the idea is a great one and I really need something like this......You rock on your reviews.....your videos are needed so much you are so thoughtful and kind to do what you do

AWESOME VIDEO! I watched the wermemory keepers video so many times I thought I was an idiot. Then I found yours and it all makes sense! TY
Kudos to those that were able to achieve success measuring once! Thank you for helping those of us that were not...
I’ve struggled with these instructions and no wonder! Thank you for your video
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I've been thinking I bought a gimpy, mucked up board, but now, thankfully, I can do this without tears ❤❤❤
Thank you for a very honest and real review on this product. I was tempted by this but thought I would wait and see, as it did cross my mind how the bigger envelopes would work on such a small board. I do wish these products were tested properly from a crafter's point of view, before being put on the market. Thank the heavens for people like you - you've just saved me a chunk of dosh (big hug) :.)
Thanks for the information, it is nice when people do a honest review on new products. I ordered my from HSN yesterday, and now when it arrives I'll be able to do envelopes with no problem.
Thank you! Thank you! I work in the Tool Station at the Scrapbook Expo and we just got this tool in and I've been fielding a lot of questions (and experiencing my on frustration) because of the inaccuracies. Now I have a technique I can share! Thank you! Thank you again!!!
You just saved me! Yes, I have made many envelopes with no problem. BUT I was just trying to make the biggest size with problems. You solved it quickly! THANK YOU!
Thanks so much for sharing this with us! I already ordered this tool and was really excited to get it. Now I'll be able to play with it without getting completely frustrated.
Yah! Thank you for explaining. Had this board for a long time and couldn't get it to work for me, thought it was me. Now I can use it. THANK YOU.
Such a helpful video, thank you. I had been trying to make an envelope booklet but just couldn’t get the envelopes the same size. Now I can try again.
PS we are memory keepers should pay you a commission …
I was getting so frustrated using this board as I was wasting time and material and then I remembered watching you video and amazingly by using your method it works every time. Thank you.
Thank you for the advice on the double measuring. I am always making large envelopes and making many mistakes. Please keep the tips coming.
THANK YOU! Mine always come out wrong! I saw "Maymay Made It" (my favorite) struggle with this in her last video. She thought, like all of us, that she must have made a mistake. The second time it worked. I have been frustrated also that this board was not designed to be larger!!! Thanks again for your HELP!
I just received my punch board in the mail and they must have fixed the measurement issue. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks! I just bought this and was trying to figure out how to do non-square envelopes. Perfect!
Thank you! My envelope paper was also too large for the board and after watching your video I can now make my envelopes for my 5.5"x8.5" cards.
AMEN, SISTER!!! I''m a little late to the party, but am JUST NOW needing large envelopes. CRAZY when the board is too short! It totally makes a difference...especially for those of a certain personality type...ha!
Thank you so much. I struggled with this tonight. I was beginning to think I was crazy. I bought it yesterday and I couldn’t wait to try it out. it looks so simple on a different video. I will definitely try it again tomorrow
OMG, thank so much. This was extremely helpful. I just got a new punch board to used yesterday (got tired of searching for 3×3 envelopes here in Cananda lol) But I was running into that issue last night when I was playing around / testing it out. I an not sure the corrected the error u caught so I made a not of it. Thanks again and blessings.
You are the best Jenny!! I just bought the punch board and needed to create an envelope for a 5.5 x 8.5 card. Too bad i didn't watch your video first, but at the third turn i realized something was wrong. It isn't terrible, so i'm going with it. Next time, however, i will be much more educated thanks to you! I appreciate your explaining this to us!!
Wonderful!
Oh my goodness!!! Thank you!!! I have a Master's Degree and this item was driving me crazy trying to figure it out. I'm excited to use mine now!
Thanks a million, I have struggled a bit since I just started trying to make envelopes..
Great tip. I have only used the board to make smaller envelopes for note cards. I must have a later version of the board because the correct 2 5/8 score line in indicated on it for a 3x3 card. Thanks so much for sharing.
As my dad always said, measure twice, cut once, lol! Thanks so much for the help! Love your video's!
Flip side of that, what my DH says..."Measure once; cut twice!"
(he says "we're Italian! That's the way we do stuff!" 😆)
Thank you so much for letting us know about this issue. I still think I'll be getting it, but after they make the correction. Also, I think the board needs to be bigger for larger envelopes...IMO
Thanks again...I really appreciate that you provide these reviews for us!
ohmygoodness! Thanks Linanne so much for these measurements. It works perfectly. I was so frustrated with the envelope punch board measurement for an A2 envelope. The envelope size for their A2 was too big plus it would cost more to mail.
Still helping folks 10 years later, lol. I received this as a gift and used it a few times when I got it many years ago but haven't for the longest time. Now, I'm trying to make an envelope exactly as you mentioned, 6x8.5, and it's off the board. Meanwhile, I couldn't get my head around how to figure this out and happened to see your video. Thank you!
I was so excited about this tool & was just about to pre-order it, I think I'll hang fire & see if they release a 2nd version. Tfs xx
I just purchased this tool; print error was correct. The minimal amount of time to check the score line for larger cards is worth it. I have not found any cards to be incorrect; Envelopes made up very quickly. Do have good scores along the paper for larger cards and a larger base plate may be helpful. We are crafters -- so just extend it. This price is very reasonable -- I love it and do not have these issues on my first time and created 10
Wow. So glad I saw this. I wanted this board, but now I think it's just better to make them myself.
Thanks so much for clearing that up shame on memory keeper for not telling us.. You have been a great help
I like my MS score board and you can use your crop a dile to make the punches u don't have to cut them out. I was really excited about this board because it was supposed to make the envelops so fast - you're video shows it just doesn't work right. If they come out with a longer one that is accurate maybe I will consider it again. TY for your video is really was very informative.
Thank for the helpful tips. I just saw a fellow YTubber and she also shared her board but also allowing us to know that we can find this at our Michaels so I am heading there today. Tfs Lrtty
Hi thnks for this video,I have only just got my EPB,so had no idea how to use it, but I followed your directions about punching and scoring once then turning 180 degrees, and scoring, then did the other two sides and I had a perfect envelope for the card I had made.
Great catch on the misprint!
I always wait a bit before buying a new tool. I think CHA rushes folks into bring out the product before they have been fully beta tested.
Excellent!! Thank you so much for clarifying. I had a crazy time trying to understand and messed up a whole lot of paper. I just made an envelope for a 3x4 card. You rock!! Thanks again!!
I have the enveloper and love it too! what is fiddly is measuring with a tool that has a no measuring claim! besides, the corner bits can just be folded.
I am really shocked WRMK's marketing and test labs didn't catch this. I am awaiting my board, as I ordered it directly from them. Hopefully, it will have the correct measurements on it. If not, I will be returning it. Thank you for the heads-up
Thank you so much for this. I bought the 123 punch board a while ago and just could not work out how to get the envelope I needed correctly. Unfortunately their instructions were so vague. I have just made 3 perfect envelopes in less than 5mins since watching your demo. I’m now very happy with my purchase after thinking I had wasted my money.
Ok I did buy the envelope punch tool and I love it I just changed the marking with a pen on the board that you recommended for the 3 x 3 envelope I have used it and it works like a dream
I do love it allot!!
Joan Smith
Thanks for the video. I followed your instructions. Worked great. I'm very happy you posted the video & happy I didn't have to go through the same trial and error thanks to you!
Wonder tips. I just love the way you explain and show how
Thanks so much for this. My one big complaint about the envelope punch board is that relatively too-short score channel. For larger envelopes, I usually start the score line on the punch board, then finish it on my Martha Stewart scoring board. Your way seems a bit easier, though, and I wouldn't have to have both boards on my scrap desk. Great info!
Thank you for sharing, the piece of equipment has been driving me nuts for years. I just left in a box, where it has been rescued from. I will try and use it more successfully now. 😂😂😂😂x
This was very helpful. My first envelope was way off but this technique works better.
Thanks for sharing the tips. I am waiting on delivery of this product, so will have a look at the measurements and see if they have corrected it! Really useful video !
Thank you for your very helpful video! Followed your recommendations and my envelopes turned out perfect!
Thank you very much as I recently bought one and noticed that about the board. I found that it could use a few extra features. Like being longer and it could use a tray to catch the punched bits.
very helpful thank you as I couldn't figure out where I was going wrong. the board is def too small for the larger sizes . I wonder why they didn't make it big enough to fit all paper sizes on the board. bad design I would say . many thanks x
Thank you for these very helpful tips. I just now bought the We R M K Punch Board and I am now going to make my first envelope......wish me luck. ;)
Thanks again for the info. .
EDIT..
I was going to be smart ass and say something but I didn't. But I will now. Fom my experience listening to a WHOLE LOT of crafters who make tutorials, and who constantly say over and over again "It doesn't have to be perfect"...I think a bunch of them saw your video saying you have to be "perfect" with this little envelope maker to achieve perfect envelopes. I just went up to hit the LIKE button and noticed you had 96 DISLIKES. That must be them. lol Seriously tho, if I hear ONE MORE person on these crafting vids say "it doesn't have to be perfect" I am going to scream!!! Because ...A) I am a perfectionist, and B) I am a perfectionist lol and I can not stand for someone to teach someone else how to do something and not even take pride in themselves to do the best job they can. Grrr that really gets to me. And for a helpful vid like this it's unreal to see nearly 100 dislikes!!! Oh well...what'dya gonna do??
There's my rant for the day. ;) And again, thank you so much. ♥
Great tips thank you, I just ordered mine. xxx Sue
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH….I have wasted soooo much paper with this machine/plate. Your tips are so appreciated…and BTW my 3X3 card does measure at 2.5/8’s! They must have listened to you carefully!!!! AGAIN……THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!
Yes, glad mine had the right measurement too... must be the revised edition.
Frankly, Mary, that is EXACTLY why I started my blog- to test products out for real, the way at-home crafters use the product. : )
I am so frustrated my envelopes come out the same as yours I had to laugh as that's why I am looking on youtube and yours was the first one I picked. I am just glad I am not the only one that just don't get it. They just make it look easy. thank you
This tutorial is so helpful. Thank you so very much.
Thanks so much for this honest review. I've seen others "demo" this and all they do is rave about it. I was think of getting one and was disappointed that no one had them in stock. But after watching your review I see this isn't for me. Although it is a neat concept and with improvements even better. But because of your review I just saved myself 20 + dollars. Thank you again, and hopefully We Are Memory Keepers will heed your recomendations and extend that board and make other corrections.
I measure all 4 punches. Two happen with the printed side up and two happen with the white side up. Perfect every time.
I've never had the issues you had. Mine always come out perfect. I do wish the board was a bit larger like you said.
UPDATE 3/04: WRMK is adding stickers to the packages that have more accurate measurements. I just got them this weekend and will be evaluating how accurate they are. STAY TUNED!
I have the MS scor board which I happily use to make envies- I mainly got the envie punch board (w/ a 40% coupon) to make those mini file folders!
I seriously don't understand the thumbs down... she has targeted the difficulties or rightly few drawbacks the board has on it.... as nothing is perfect & one catches up wid d flaws only when one diligently works on it... am thankful for this vdo, as i kept thinking, i got those extra edges due to something I did wrong.... but now i know its a drawback wid d board tht i need to deal with which i am perfectly fine wid as this envelope punch board is a life saver 😘❣️
We only grow, learning to face our drawbacks & never by overconfident assumptions of being perfect; that is when we remain stagnant! 🙂
Thanks so much for your response!
i use the "envelope generator" app for the measurement guide.....it works like a charm. i have noticed that the measurment on the board was off from the measurements given by the app.
Steph, please provide a link for the envelope generator. I used to keep a shortcut on my desktop, but the link I had no longer works. Thanks!
Thank you for the tips! Helped so much! Also they corrected the 3x3 on the board. :)
I did find that very helpful because my envelopes were coming out just not rights. Thanks you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. Regards Lorna SA
Coming here and really appreciating your video because I have the same issue too!!!
I bought this punchboard today - (1.9.14). The correction for the 3x3 envelope has been made.
Thanks much! I think I will stick to my well-used and much loved "Enveloper" board by Crafters Companion. It's cheaper, NEVER had a mistake with it, AND you can use it to make "envelope boxes". Love it....you know, if it ain't broke...don't fix it! lol
Thank you for this extremely informative video. I have been on the fence about purchasing one of these, but I could use an easier way to make envelopes for my pen pals.
I was looking a review on this tool and wasnt sure if I really needed another one..lol...I like the punch out but before your review I wasnt a fan of how small it is. Hopefully the make a larger one :) I love my MS for envelopes right now but have to cut straight lines instead of nice curved indents...oh well..we shall see..
Has no one else noticed that A2 card is listed as 4.5 x 5.5... when it is actually 4.25 x 5.5 - thus the wonky 'opes! I make the A2 'opes with 8x8 paper and score at 3.5. This gives me an envelope that is really close to a purchased A2.
thanks for the info. I got my punch board out to write on it the correct measurement for the 3X3 card, but mine was correct. So I must have gotten a revised version of the board.
thank you I luckily got a corrected board for the 3x3 scoring measurement! Great looking out for us! :)
mcescher- I'm glad you like the Eveloper. I tried it once and didn't care for it at all. It really is best to find a tool that works best for you. But correct me if I'm wrong- there's no punch for that one, right? You need to cut out the corner bits? I found that too fiddly for my taste.
Hmmm, I was really excited about this tool, but not so sure now. I'm glad I didn't jump on the pre-order wagon lol. Maybe I will wait until they come out with a 2nd generation! Thanks for doing this video and I hope WRMK is watching! ~Tracy~
Thank you very much for the review. I think I will wait to see if they make any changes. In the mean time, I will make my own.
Thank you!!! I didn’t know where I went wrong but I knew it looked hilarious!
Don't get me wrong- I still think it's a cool tool. I made a bunch of "ticket" sized envelopes for v-day surprises in a size I couldn't really buy.
You are so welcome! That's why I'm here!
I am so glad I clicked on your video...I tried to make some envelopes and they weren't turning out...I thought it was me!
I do have a corrected board for the 3 x 3.
Thanks! I don't feel so dumb anymore! LOL!
Thank You I was having trouble getting them right for the bigger envelopes .
Joan- there is no mention of a version 2. I think EPB works will if you follow the tips I shared! : )
I suppose that may be why there are 2 colors in this board; you let them know about the 2 5/8 score line b/c my white board has the corrected measurements. Thank you for showing me to measure twice I was getting very aggrevated. lol
I agree....They need to redesign this product. It is of no use to me if the sizing is incorrect AND what good is it to have a scoreboard if you cannot completely score your envelope? Isn't that what the product is supposed to do?
Great potential, but I plan on continuing to use my MS Score Board.... Thanks for doing this video.
Thank you SO much! I was looking for a video like this for along time.
I just bought one today and it came with a sticker - didn't know why - until now. Apparently their new stock has stickers in them to correct the 'list' on the device. =)
Thank you for saving my day and help me feel less goofy...😘
How can I give this video 2 thumbs up!!! Great tips, thank you so much
The WRMK 1-2-3 Punch Board I own has a pull-out arm on the right side for those longer score lines...
I just received my board from stampin up which is made by We R Memory keepers, and the mistake is corrected. Just thought you would like to know, and thanks for your help.
