I think it's a part i struggle deeply with, The consent thoughts of perfection, which with pigeons is not always the way things go, I talk alot about how 24 hours can change the course of your season! It sounds silly but the race season is just 5 months, and in that 5 months pigeons need to be at the highest level of fitness and health, when it's not that way the bombardment of whys and what's take over. As we just what whatever potential that the pigeons has to showcase. One of my favourite quotes is " Greatness is not a destination it's a continuous journey that never ends" Again thank you Robert it's appreciate that 👏👍

Hi Steven. As fanciers we keep on struggling and as time goes on it gets harder and harder. The losses with the birds is all over the world, i just spoke to a friend of mine in Scotland and he told me there was a fancier that sent seventy birds to a race and did not even clock one. Last race season i started with 150 birds and at the end of the season had only 12 birds left. Wish you and your dad well in the sport.
Yeah it's maybe something people don't see but alot of us pigeons fsnciers have the same feeling and emotions when it comes to losing our birds! Luckily for me and the daughter I race was cancelled saying that though we’ve only lost 3 youngsters out of 8 races so far so someone is smiling down on us. On with the last race now mate and a great result all the best.
Yeah I don't think it helped them at all 19 odd hours been drive round Ireland in the heat I don't think helped! Pigeons just empty the drinker and weren't fussed on feeding 😕 that's great for yous mate sometimes we just get seasons like this and we have to take it on the chin and keep pressing forward and what will be will be! Still won't change the feeling of losing them tho! You'll have a great team going into next year Wayne? Hopefully the losses won't effect people staying in the sport or even new people coming into the sport like myself. Agree one hundred per cent if you don't Annalise you won't learn Stephen any news on how John Paterson and Ron Williamson are progressing after there mishaps
@brianbehan1376 Yeah probably sometimes we over annalise which causes a few sleepless nights for sure 🤣🤣🤣 John Patterson I believe is out of hospital and on the road to recovery 🙏 thank God I just hope the man can still race his pigeons It was Ronnie Johnston Brian he had a fall and broke his hip, they just don't make them like them anymore mate he's up and about driving away haha Thanks mate much appreciated 👍👏
I think Steven this is going to be a season to struggle through and then prey for a better one next year, This has got to be one of the worst one's, I don't think you will be able to judge any young birds on there performances, as it has been such an difficult year all round, lets hope they perform as yearlings and haven't had the stuffing knocked out of them
