    This is really shameful ,tht judges for apex court are appointed in close door manner..why this cover up, people should know how the so called God temple of justice are appointed and how they deliver justice

      The foremost requirement is progeniosis and second is Chamchagiri. The selection has to be open, candidates must be announced and all complaints examined publicly.

    Madan you have to give your resignation when your name is recommended by the collegium for supreme court judge.when you people get office as supreme court judge than at that you have to give voluntary resignation and protest against the collegium system.after completion of tenure it looks meaningless

    Judges selecting Judges is incorrect. A judicial appointments commission has to be set up.

    Mr. Madan … who the hell these collegium judges appointing judges. Who is going to make you accountable. You appoint yourself and then ask who is executive accountable.
    Executive are accountable every five years through elections.
    Your knowledge and bias towards judges appointing judges proves your knowledge and understanding of democracy.
    Nowhere the world judges appoint other judges.
    Don’t lecture after retirement.

    As a citizen I know one thing ,be it supreme court or the executive,Unless the system of selection by the collegium is not transparent how & why you blame the executive for withholding names or whatever. Justice Locur seems to suggest that whoever is recommended by Supreme court's collegium system,which is not transparent,has to be accepted by the government. Is not this a dictatorship of the court that 5 wise men are selecting fellw judges without any laid down procedure and processes.

    To be really independent pillar, executive should have no role. But to make it impartial, it should be made more broad based ie instead of at present 3 judges it should be 9 and if possible all judges of SC to select by anonymous remarks (for transparency right to information) and secret ballot yes /no, With live video recording.
    Similarly for HC appointments.

    Collegium process can be more transparent..
    Collegium knows better that how capable has been a judge in the past, so the power to appoint judges should be in hands of collegium only...
    Central govt. should only have the role to check backgrounds of judges via their agency reports..

    When Government jobs and good private sector jobs are given after written examinations and interviews ;why lawyer to High court judges and to Supreme court judges are made through recommendations of few people . Written examinations and interviews should be introduced for appointment of judges .

    • @lakshaygunawat9739
      @lakshaygunawat9739 Год назад

      It should. It is born out of a government project, under Ministry of Law and Justice. Under the RTI, 'any citizen', may request information from a public authority. (A body of government and instrumentality of state), set of by the constitution. Although, whether the purview extends to bodies formed under policy action remains to be seen.
