Great review! Really appreciate all the work you guys put in to measuring these, especially including the EQ presets. I actually bought these for review myself, but noticed that the "customised" preset, which claims to be based off of the "original" preset, actually has audible differences between the two. Namely, the "metallic" timbre and treble are much more tame. Do you mind doing a quick listen to corroborate this? Thanks! 🙏
maybe I'm just cheap, but I don't think there's a single pair of tws that I could justify paying $300 for unless they had removable batteries. these things just end up in a landfill too quick and have too many points of failure. The most I've ever spent is probably 160 and even that was probably more than I'd be comfortable with doing again.
People always look at prices in a vacuum. This is dumb. If you use buds for an hour a day, $300 is ridiculous. But if you use them for 5 hours a day, it suddenly seems a lot more reasonable. Phones are the best to me, though. Use-to-cost ratio, cell phones-even flagships-are literally one of the best deals on the planet for a giant portion of the populace.
I agree on the slightly metallic treble (bought them the day they came out) but I'd not consider the bass volume low. It's pretty neutral, even a bit on the thicker side in dynamic mode. They're for people that want to listen to music and not just "pump da phat bass". Resolution and instrument separation are really good for TWS buds but don't come close to some of the better wired planar IEMs. Even the relatively cheap KZ PR1 Pro sound better in my opinion - but they're of course neither wireless nor ANC. Being a planar fanboi (Hifiman Sundara and Edition XS owner) I'm pretty happy over all when I want to listen to music without a cable dangling around. ANC is a nice bonus to me, not more.
Hey guys, how about a review of the Pi8's, dying to hear your thoughts on them. I presently have the AZ80's and the Beoplay EX's. Thanks for being my favorite reviewers!
Yey! You got them.. I got them too lol. Battery life does leave me a bit short, but I run more than 1 set so can live with it. Loving the sound.. and the comfort. One bug after 1.2.9 update. This update reduced some high frequency leakage/amplification, BUT it has introduced a new bug where sudden noises of a certain frequency get amplified and clipped. Try banging some (china type) plates and metal cutlery, like when doing the washing up :) And I have a Chinese import which connects to "Edifier connect" not connex and has chinese voice prompts, so I hope it gets same support as global version. But it does look like two different versions of firmware 😟.
Thank you for you video please and you answers I hope you to review and test the new nothing ear open and tell us which has more neutral and better sound quality
Hey DHRME! I've been watching your videos on the Edifier WH950NB and W830NB headphones and I'm having a hard time deciding between the two. Would you be able to create a comparison video that highlights the key differences and helps me make an informed decision? Thanks!
Try bigger eartips size or try different eartips. The metalic treble response is caused by not have a proper seal. Trust me it will improve both the metalic treble and bass quantity
.. wondering why they aren't for you 🤔 I'm going to assume being a single Planar driver they don't have all that much in terms of low end and are more analytical.
Three hundred dollars? Sorry, but Edifier hasn't even remotely shown me they're capable of building wireless earbuds in this price range, and these are no different.
I heard Edifier had something new up their sleeve! Good to see you guys covering these.
Cheers bro. 👊

Ur an Audiophile. I've seen you on forums too. I doubt you haven't purchased something that expensive😅
@@jcap8391 Yeah but buying 500 bucks IEMs you will keep for 10 years maybe even more isn't the same as $300 TWS that will last 2 years at best.

Fair enough!
11pm here when this video can be watched, tomorrow will watch it 😂
I really want to check these out. The problem is that there are so many options cheaper with more better features. Im intrigued by the sound quality.

150ish and we're golden.
I love the anc and transparency smaples. Please have it for more reviews
Hi guys will you review the Edifier Neodots?
I thought you were kidding about the price until you said it again.
Delivering amazing videos with the help of Popsicles and test*cals

If Edifier doesn't have Auracast capability on it's latest STAX Spirit S10 earbuds ($300) & STAX Spirit S5 headphones ($500), it baffles me.
no integrated parametric 16+ band equalizer? that's not even audioeccentric
Pricey... Namaste

Guess you'll have to watch the video!
@@DHRME I was right! 😂
Haha yeah
There are multiple planar magnetic drivers from other devices? Thought it's just all in one technology?
@@Muiscfromthealps I said singular planar as to not alude to a hybrid setup (e.g Planar + DD)
finally.. the video I requested! glad to see that trash app is gone.. and the mics didn’t seem good enough. not a great product after all..
Nice review, THX🙏
But not my cup of tea. (For the price and less bass)
Too pricy for sure especially with mediocre ANC. If they knock $100 off the cost I would reconsider.

Mediocre battery life again.Nah. Lemme stick to OnePlus buds 3 pro
When people ask me for the worst brand of earbuds every time I mean Bose, and I remember that Edifier exists 🤧
