Stay away from the watch/brand/movement. I bought the Navygraf, on the 15th day the watch died, I couldn't return the watch. Contacted the customer care, asked me to send back for 'repair' on my expense. On the way back the watch got stuck in French customs(in the package I mentioned returning watch for repair). Yema didn't bother to retrieve it from the customs. It is a very expensive lesson learned about this French brand. Imo the movement is not up to the mark, and the customer service is pathetic.

A real in-house movement and a good one at that, great finishes, 39mm, for that price is a steal. Other unknown brands are selling average Sellita based watches which is just an ordinary clone of an ETA (no different than Seagull and Hangzou) for twice the price. This watch is amazing to be honest, really tempted to get one.

  • @khronokraze

This IS a handsome timepiece. Yes, kind of unbelievable to offer such spec'd watch WITH actual in-house movement. It's very cool. I know I've seen and been most aware of the Superman model. It's priced a bit higher (I believe), but still pretty cool with its unique bezel lock apparatus by the crown.
Speaking of cool revival brands (which may be a great topic for another video some day, your top favorite revival brands), and another French one, I really like Triton. Super-cool design.. and if you look back at this somewhat obscure brand from the 60's, it has some cool heritage and significance to the thriving dive watches of the 60's. I'm sure there are maybe a couple others, but that's one that comes to the top of my head.
YEMA, send Mark some more watches for review! Would love a closer look at more YEMAs and Mark has a fantastic review style.

I bought a Navygraf, I wanted to like it. I believe Yema has some quality control issues. The lume pip at the 12 marker on the bezel is off, so it makes it look like the bezel alignment is off. I brought this to there attention via there chat option. I was told that because these watches are made by hand that they could have this issue, and that even the photos of the watch on the website had the same issue. I get it. But then I saw a piece of black something stuck to the inside of the crystal just by the 11 marker on the dial. Still waiting to hear back from them about that. I’m not trying to be picky the lume pip I can partially understand but the debris inside the watch is an issue. I’ll post back what there response is.
Update: the debris on the inside of the crystal was paint from the dial that had chipped off. Yema has still not received the watch, it is currently July 15th. Apparently sending anything to the EU is an issue. Hopefully soon it will all get resolved.

Hopefully they will get it back soon or I will have to file a claim with USPS so I can get my money back. I messaged Yema yesterday as one of the customer service reps told me they were gonna contact chronopost but got no reply. I’m sure they are tired of hearing from me. But it is $500.

It’s a cool watch, I was hot on Yema for a while purchasing 2 watches then it all started to go south when they took my money for 10 days for a Heritage 63 Scales bracelet and then they sent me and email to say your Yema Privilege coupon is not valid and we want more money when their website accepted the coupon and my money. I didn’t feel good that they made it sound like I did something wrong so after a few more emails trying to come to a middle ground they said no. I got my money back but i can’t help but to feel I’ve been taken for a fool when they took my money for so many days and didn’t say anything. Yema doesn’t really care about customer retention, I’ve already bought 2 watches and really had my eye on at least a few more. The difference was $108, I was very surprised they would let a lifetime customer go over that little bit of money. I loved the brand but it’s run by very short sighted people who were only looking out for their month end commission check.

Thanks for this great review... I have a question about combining the Navygraf with another item you review, the MKS sailcloth straps. In this review of the navygraf you say wearing a 20mm Nato or Tropic strap on the yema's 19mm lugs would be no problem. Having seen the sailcloth strap in person, would you say it would be able to work between the yema's lugs with garden variety spring bars? Or is the material too stiff? It looks like they would be a winning combo together.
    Thanks!

Got the watch, its been keeping good enough time overnight. Unfortunately, a few complaints (major for me). The first is that the indices do not line up with the bezel. They're a millimeter or so off center and once you notice it you can't un-notice it. I have a lot of watches. I collect what I like, generally speaking. I picked up a quartz Casio MDV106-1A (great watch BTW) that is spot on with the bezel and indices, and I was unpleasantly surprised to see a watch that I paid $700 for couldn't pull of what my $50 beater did beautifully. I reached out the Yema rep that was hot to answer questions before I bought it and gave me a 10% off code too, but strangely I haven't heard a word from Yema since I forked over the cash for it. Resizing the band was unusual too. its got hollow cylindrical pin holders that sit between the 'H' links of the band and if you are not careful they will get lost. It also has micro adjustments at the clasp that you can use to tune in the fit. Theres an adjuster on each side of the clasp, one with 4 positions and the other with 2. The side with 2 positions is not aligned with the closure properly so you cannot adjust that side of it because it will not close.
On another note, the manual winding feels weird to me. Theres not a solid feel when you're winding it (firm click feel), so you're kind of unsure if its actually winding at all. It is keeping good time, but I've only had it a day, so I have no idea what to expect in the long run. Quality control seems to be an issue with Yema, and the lack of customer response is underwhelming. If I had to do it again, I would've bought the beautiful Ollech & Wajs P-104 instead of the Yema Navygraffor a couple of hundred more dollars with the time proven ETA 2824-2 movement in it. Last complaint, the 'leather' case feels cheap to me and the stitching around the case looks like it was actually glued down with the stitching as an afterthought. I wanted to love this watch, but after getting it in hand, I would say hard pass. Save up a few more hundred bucks and get you an O&W P-101 or P-104.

I bought it and the quality control is horrendous. The bezel was terribly misaligned to the point where it's not pleasant to look at the watch. When I inquired to Yema about this they said this is normal for divers. Then they lied about when I'll get a a return label for them to fix the watch. I am very disappointed with the whole experience, not only with the watch itself but their apathetic customer service. Don't expect a return label or swift refund. Avoid the headaches.

Poor design in the end link-lug connection. The fact that they don’t drape completely makes it a no go for me.
And they spent a lot of money on a movement that doesn’t have a micro-adjustment screw in the regulator. They should have saved their money and continued to get eta or sellita movements . Their movement is arguably inferior and more rudimentary in design.
