I believe that newer ones have the latest Yema 2000 caliber that removes the ghost date position and also bezel is now 120 clicks. I personally like the blue Marine Nationale version better.
That’s a beautiful watch, but it seems I haven’t really heard anything about Yema in a while, but then again, I don’t know much about them and don’t really pay attention to them. Thanks for the great review!
I owned this watch and agree it is a fantastic watch. I did end up selling mine but am seriously thinking about repurchasing another. Great review. ❤ When opened the case back on my watch I was sad to see the movement is held in place with a plastic ring. 😮
I’ve had mine James for a couple of years. It’s doesn’t get the wear it should but no it really is a terrific watch! Mine is on the rubber strap which I personally prefer. I also have the Superman & a really nice vintage Yema. 👍🏼
Thank you James, nice review of a nice watch. I've been considering this exact same watch but two things kept me from pulling the trigger. First, the depth of the case back: it's just too far below the level of the lugs, making the watch ride relatively high on the wrist, which I hate. Second, at the time stories about lacking QC and not very client friendly reactions (to say the least) from Yema's customer service were getting a bit worrying, there were too much stories about it and given the fact that it's a relatively small brand that doesn't sell big numbers I had the feeling that if even only half of those stories were true, it's still too much. By the way, an "inhouse movement" running 39 seconds fast? Than just let me have an off the shelf Selita or a Miyota 9* series instead please. Nevertheless, the dial and bezel are stunning, I was so close to ordering it when it still was available on Yema's website.
I’ve been concerned about the customer service as well. Which is why I went with the slightly more affordable option of second hand. It is always a risk. But normally turns out fine.
I can see why you are wearing this watch a lot it looks great love the yellow hands one of the watches I tend to wear quite often is my Casio Douro because it comfortable on my wrist so that it doesn’t give me problems all day. Also if it gets bashed up I don’t have to worry because it’s not that expensive also it looks great
Excuse my ignorance, but what on this watch is Yema patenting? It's a bit over the top to have patent pending on something in generic usage for nearly 100 years. 😬
I’ve really enjoyed having this one in my collection.
Yema superman quartz edition it's one of my dailies, super light, affordable and trouble free , great video like always
It is great to see they have so many options available.
Thanks for WATCHing
I have no experience with Yema myself, but that watch looks amazing. Beautiful timepiece, thanks for demonstrating!
It has been a great watch to have in the collection.

It’s good to hear they are evolving and making some changes.
It is a great watch and I’m keen to see some more from the brand.

Great review James. I own this watch, really enjoy it, and agree with your observations. Have a great weekend mate.

I’ve seen that they have had some very nice looking recent releases.

I've been looking into getting a Yema and this particular model looks the part. I can see this fitting into my collection at the right price.

I still have not had a Douro. I really need to get one.

Good review 👍 I don't know anything about the Yema movement, but I hope it is easy to regulate 🤞

I need to get my hands on a yema they have great watches
They are really nice and have some great designs.
I bought this watch used for only £150. An absolute bargain!
That is an absolute bargain

I found some info that the Yema bezel lock is patent pending.
Good question. I’m not sure either.
Good looking watch. No doubt. But Yema and quality is always a topic. Unfortunately. 🕐⚙️🍸
That is definitely worth considering if buying one.
