    How much calculus do you use on a daily basis as a petroleum engineer???

      Thankfully practically zero. That would likely be the response of most PE's. There are definitely those who are more involved with modeling or programming who might use it. Not to say it would never come up, but it doesn't look to be too common. Having a basic understanding of it though is important, as nothing in our industry is really linear.

    I'm a freshman at a local community college where I am located what do u think besides petroluem engineering would be a good major so when I graduate i have a good chance of getting a job in the oilfield ?

      Thanks for your question! There's a lot of options but it should depend on what you would enjoy doing most. In terms of other bachelor degrees, you could get geology, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, etc.. If you would like to do something more hands-on, you could also work for a contractor and do more blue-collar work.
