The Fight That BURIED Conor McGregor's Career! Спорт
Khabib warned him during the pre fight conference and said ” Alcohol is not going to save you when we meet in the Octagon ”
I’ll die a crazy old man,
Never truer words were spoken
he lied about dying old
Never recovered from Khabib's beating.
Legend has it he's still doing circuits in his Lamborghini boat on his own listening to Biggie 🤷
@@abutorab1004yea that's all he can do and will do rest of the life.
*Conor was way past his prime, drugs & alcohol had done a number on him. That being said he's still the only fighter to give Khabib his one round loss.*
Conor on khabib fight was on 50% look at him drunk and ... on prefight conferenc... Khabib doo nothing with his wildlife ...
Khabib said it himself, I'm going to change him.
Conor was taught a lesson he will remember till his LAST breath
Khabib took his soul
Matt sera ko'd gsp...did he took he soul🤡🤡?typical keyboard warrior
@@lisandromartinez. bro khabib ruined mcgoogans coke head fantasies portier finished him off, mcgoogan is a fn joke of a human, a 4x rapist still has court cases in ireland guys a joke
@@lisandromartinez. You confirmed the point of the original comment. GSP lost a fight, and came back stronger. He didn't lose his soul to another fighter, he got better. Conor lost to Khabib in more than just the octagon. Khabib took Conor's will to be a champion. I won't say Khabib took Conor's will to be a winner, because we can clearly see that even though Conor did win fights and belts, he was never truly a winner, just a flash in the pan. I believe the saying is accurate: money won't change who you are, it will just show the world who you truly are inside. The world now sees how ugly Conor is inside.
Having alcohol before fights and fighting with world class martial artist like khabib is suicide he destroyed his legacy
100% We still have the memory of Old School Connor.. Thats enough for me honestly. I'm good if he never comes back.. Honestly I just wanna see Chandler get a huge payday, and move over to commentating for ESPN or whatever he is gonna do after.. Mike will eat that mans lunch..
No excuses he wasnt Drinking before the fight it was in press
which was 4 months before actual fight
I never hated Conor as much until he sucker punched an old man for not drinking his whiskey. Like wtf. Disrespecting khabib's dad, wife and family was over the line and hopefully he learned his lesson
And that bar, took all his whiskey off the shelf, and poured every drip, down the loo, and that explains his pissed up life, went down the loo.
The one thing your girlfriend, mom, children would want is a healthy boyfriend, father and son. This is far more valuable than material things.
A legend in his mind and his only.
He is the greatest flash in the pan. He won those belts, took his 15 minutes, easy boxing payday and has crashed err self destructed back to earth. No hate though, he played the game well for his time.
Damn it, that thumbnail got Conor lookin like he just smoked an entire bag of fentanyl. 😂😂
He is. Just snort it not smoke it. Coke laced with everything these days. Fentanyl is one of them.
😂😂😂 true
did him dirty lol but it got me here
You are looking too far into his future...
Tbh I think its going to end badly , he won't ever fight again but he needs to get himself clean.
I honestly can see his face on sports channels with a black border with RIP Mcgregor written on it in a few years time if he carries on.
People like Mcgregor burn the brightest , but completely burn out really quickly, and with that drug being about , someone only has to cut it in his powder to rip him off and he's in trouble.
The life cycle of all fighters is; a rise, a reign and a downfall. Connor is no different. His time has come and gone... that's it
Who’s this Connor?
@@micahbodha6129 the one riding out his downfall, that’s the Connor we have today. He’s been costing on his past accomplishments and is famous today for being famous, much like a Kardashian. That’s it.
Not much of reign. Just a rise and fall
Except Khabib,he retired when he was in top of MMA,
AS Khabib said:
There are fighters
There are champions
There are elite 😎
@@Zer0JusTice-qh8bc for Connor it was about that and fame for sure but most Champs defend their belts. He never did that so he can’t be called one of the G.O.A.Ts & with that injury I doubt he’ll return.
Conor before the fight: The left hand drops everyone
Conor and gang after khabib mauled him: "Conor wasn't ready he was drinking too much baahhh baaahhhhh baaaaahhhh"
Khabib ended prime Conor easy
Well four rounds of jock sniffing and lying on somebody will definitely refuses the power divisions lower than lhw and pull the pants up when you're done
@@lisandromartinez. Good thing there was no jock sniffing and only mauling for Conor. No wonder his nutriders are butthurt even today
Lol your boy got mauled… khabib had his way with him. Conor nearly got pregnant

BORES me to death hearing how great he was... Damn good FW got the title, never defended. Won a single lightweight weight fighjt for the title, never defended. He was NEVER one of the greats fightwise.. Great blagger if we're gonna give out belts for shit talk...Me mate dave is pretty good shit talker too...
Hahaha keep coping mate
There's always gonna be hatters like you yapping sitting behind a screen...if he cared about sad individuals like you he would've vanished after diaz 1
first ever 2 division champ after sparking both the champs like they were amateurs and just cause he lost 2 fights(excluding the leg break) because of inactivity and injuries he's overrated 👏👏i
Typical casual comment that, bringing title defenses yap when he never really got the opportunity to defend them at the first place. If rda didn't pull out,he would've defended against frenkie and then eddie for the lw strap who then sparked rda after diaz 2.
As far as excitement goes, he has one of the best styles ever. In addition to being the first reigning double champ, it’s HOW he won both straps with flawless performances.
Exploded by Khabib! History will never be forgotten 😂
There is always someone greater. Never say greatest. Never.
By all due respect , but McGregor never was a great fighter , let alone "one of the greatest"….Never defended any title , against all the good opponents he looked lost , mildly expressed…Etc,etc , to keep it short…UFC made star…Not the first and not the last one…Btw,there was no injury and fight against Chandler never gonna happen…..Respect to him for pulling out of the fight and for being , at least , realistic …
I couldn't disagree more.
First, in full disclosure I think he is an insufferable Irish prick, but . . .
He was way ahead of his contemporaries with his striking. Yes, the world has caught up to him, but he pushed the envelope.
The quality of UFC striking has greatly improved since him.
He was one of the first 2 weight division champions, which is now a goal frequently expressed by rising fighters. He showed the way.
He captured the world's imagination with statements about precision beats strength, and timing beats speed. That was Bruce Lee level stuff.
He broke free of the UFC management and made his own deals, became fabulously wealthy, he wasn't afraid to lose.
The UFC didn't make him a star. HE did that.
He was, is, and for some time will continue to be an inspiration for fighters whether they admit it or not.
He was an original, mad Picasso like genius that burned out once the wealth took hold.
Yap yap yap
@@lisandromartinez.

It’s always the FAN calling the FIGHTER they’re not great 😹shut up clown
The level of cope in this comment section is astounding. Yea we all fell in love with MMA because of Connor but he’s not a morally sound person and he got ended by Khabib who’s arguably the most moral fighter.
Never fell in love with MMA cos of Connor, been into MMA before Connor started collecting his Unemployment benefit
Not me, I was watching MMA way before Conor Mcgregor was ever a thing
Actually fell in love with MMA because of the monsters in the Pride era.
That was when Conor McGregor was 13 years old.
Just saying
*you fell in love with MMA because of Conor". The UFC existed long before Conor or will exist long after him. 😂 Conor fans act like he made UFC. All it did was bring adult WWE fans to MMA.
IMHO G.S.P was probably the most moral/Respectful fighter.
Khabib after his fight with Conor: "I have soul. You want? Come take, I SMESH!!"
Then 98% of the fighters on the planet are walking with no souls...as you loose them for loosing fights💀💀💀
@lisandromartinez. Nah, Khabib didn't just "beat" Conor, he relinquished Conor of all his credibility.
If a man has no credibility, he has no soul...
@fobbitoperator3620 never went to school💀?didn't understand the meaning of "soul" ? He's literally the same guy he was and even more carefree...but why I'm arguing with a casual having no fkin clue on anything. I still say there was a side deal between him and cowboys Cerrone.
Yeah, that fight was weird. Cowboy quite on a shoulder bump is suspect.
Absolutely. The more you watch the fight. The more you see it. The clearer you see it in cowboy's eyes.
Yeah, no doubt. I remember he was persistent about fighting Diego Sanchez around that same time as well. I thought that entire situation was weird as hell for a return fight with people considering him coming back as a top contender.
I remember that fight week too; people on the social media comments even said that the fight week felt weird. But look how dana uses this as promotion..."conor McGregor the first guy to get finishes in 3 different divisions" that's what the history books will show. It won't show that cerrone is a 155 fighter that was getting finished by everyone... and conor skipped over gaethje who just KO'd cerrone.
Not only Cerrone , but Alvarez as well…
The fight that ended conor is addiction 😢
While your internet addiction is killing your future 😢...don't worry bout someone with over 500m to his name

Let it go Connor. You had your day, now enjoy it...
Khabib got the best of him that night. Being grounded and pounced like that can be traumatic. But he shouldn't let it discourage him. He needs to go back to the drawing table and see where Khabib beat him, where things went wrong. And bring his training to a new level, especially on the ground.
Khabib put him to sleep like a baby 😂
McGregor is entertainment and entertainment sells tickets.
One of the greatest you say?
he might be 1 of greatest because of his double champ
@0:31 I'll die as crazy old man 😂! He knows for sure that he's going to get old and die sheeeeeeeeeit! 😂
Old School Connor was a thing to behold.
But there is NOTHING like Khabib, and now with Islam?! We have never seen such a complete fighter before or since. His English is shit, so the plebs will never really give him his flowers. But the die hards that eat, sleep, and breath combat sports?! They get it.. They know the greatness they are witnessing.
IMHO.. This is why Daddy Dana hasn't let Islam go up. He KNOWs that Islam will win the next weight class up.. Hell, we could make a strong, REALLY STRONG argument that he could go up two weight classes.. He could very well be the fist living 3 division Champion.. But that's not good for business.. So Dana will never have that. Just the same though.. Connor is a Dinosaur now. IDK why guys still blow this man..
@@marksutherlandjr.2121 Pereira is gonna be the first three division champ bet
islam. lol.
Maywether fight that banked him $100 Mil is what really buried McGregor's career.
yeah, damn shame he sold out, people still think that fight was real
Then the Khabib fight put the nails in the coffin for him
What's weird is it feels like all this happened a few years ago , but you have to go back to 2015/17 for his best performances , after the money , drugs and drink , its been embarrassing ever since , and people think he will fight again , it's deluded
I think Floyd was the one cuz he get the money he lost the hunger and hunger is big key
He was never the same after the two Diaz fights.
Clearly the booze is much harder to beat than Khabib. Wishing all recovering alcoholics well.
My opinion nate took his life with submission, and I think nate won 2nd fight the judges gave mcnugget the fight just because a little blood from old scars he couldn't finish nate but nate finish him on short notice
He was the most entertaining and most financially successful. He retired early because he didn’t need to fight anymore, he made it. Who cares

Michael Chandler probably hasn’t been “spending time on his couch at home”. That’s something normal people do, not elite athletes.
Conor is the best personality the UFC has ever had, but as far as fighters are concerned he’s mediocre
Bro has such a SNEAKY sense of humor Lol..
Its very subtle cos of the robotic voice but becomes very obvious if u listen closely Lmaoo.
Sorry Michael it STILL is not going to happen. McNuggets is a pro at this BS. Keep his name out there, but never fights. The man has won ONE fight in seven years and that was against a washed Cowboy.
Anyone in the top ten at 170 makes him look like a guy off the street now. Really not a Conor hater but let's be real. His trick back in the day 2016 or so was being a weight bully. Starve and dehydrated himself into a skeleton then beat up guys like Aldo. Those days are long, long gone.
It is over for Conor unless the FIX is in via corrupted judges vs Chandler. That is the ONLY reason I will not be betting on their fight IF it happens.
True. Conor knows how to keep his name on everyone's tongue. That is what he wants more than anything else.
I totally get trash talking generates hype, and for the UFC, more money. But to watch DW do nothing while CM disrespects KN that way that he did is totally beyond any civility that should even exist in MMA. Very disappointed in the president just standing idle.

I think the crazy old man McGregor can make a new career in the movie Industries, his act in Road House is not bad at all..

McGegor is human, like all of us and the fact that he's given so much of himself to a sport that he loved...a sport where you get the crap beaten out of you...a sport that requires training half the world would never be willing to do...I have nothing but an extremely high respect for him. God bless him and his family. I wish Conor all the best in life and hope he overcomes every challenge presented to him.
A guy who beats up a guy for refusing a drink? zero character.
My shout Conner , sorry I did not see you already have one .
If there are lessons to be learned here, it's not about what you have, it's not about lauding what you have to people who have nothing. It's about how to be a decent human being. It's about staying humble. He might say that he's glad he's gone cuckoo, but having your sanity is more important than wealth. Khabib shattered the illusion that McGregor created for himself, he thought he was invincible. To suddenly learn that you are not, is a huge shock to a person's psyche, similar to a near death experience. If wealth turns you into an asshole, then you have learned nothing. Be grateful for what you have, treat others with respect. I thought McGregor's behaviour was an act until he did what he did to Khabib's bus. I was a big fan of his but he went too far. If you do drugs and have an underlying mental issue, this can happen. Success in isn't everything, it's how you deal with it that counts. Some people, when they have unlimited money, can take it to excess and clearly this is Conor.
I agree with you Sir. Respect begets respect.
I enjoyed the ride , he spoke a good game , came up with one of the best put downs in a press conference ever "who the f** is that guy" , its hard not to get excited when someone is good on the mic and good in the cage.
I used to really enjoy the fights , the whole thing with throwing the trolley at the bus became very
WWE but it was all part of it.
Then he goes and does something you do when your career is over, star in a pantomime crossover that was farcical and pointless, it earned him 100 million and that's the downfall, once you turn up to a press conference drunk against the best in the division you know its gone to your head , offering a Muslim a drink was one of the reasons Khabib enjoyed that victory.
The first loss to Diaz showed he wasn't this pound for pound fighter , he was basically a hard punch and a low threshold in stamina, through his career he gassed in the second or third rounds meaning if he couldn't finish a fight then he became easy to beat in the championship rounds.
I dont think he was a great fighter , but its hard not to give him credit as one of the biggest characters , the red panty line , his vince mcmahon walk were all classic bits of his character.
What stopped me liking him though was the sly punch of an old bloke in a bar , his ridiculous comments about dustins partner as he was sitting with a broken leg.
In fact him sitting down after being stopped looking up at the person who beat him is hard to to forget.
A likeable "character" in the ufc with great hype chat on the mic , but not a likeable person outside of it.
Had he walked away when he broke his leg then he goes into the hall of fame , but a drunk , drug addict continues to stalk the UFC fans with absolute nonsense of fighting again, Chandler must be kicking himself , but I dont feel sorry for him , he should have got on with his career to get a title shot , not chance the red panties fight for money.
Anyone still thinking Mcgregor fights again is deluded.
In MMA it's about mentality if your mind is strong then you will never lack a single second of resting and enjoying

I reckon it began when Connor took that break after beating Alvarez to be with his family.
As he stated himself, he had realized his worth, and that he and his family were set for life. From there on it was all about money, having fun, more money, and ego masquerading as fighting spirit. Which I think probably left him the day he basically openly told the world that he didn't need it anymore.
Bro, the thumbnail, lmfao! u have no shame
yup cry about it all day
People enter these professions to make money but the millions they make never seems to be enough. They could make enough money to retire but instead choose to carry on, not a wise choice in my opinion.
So, what was the fight again?
The second belt was a setup if you were watching ufc back then you would've seen clearly how bad connor was avoiding Khabib and how dana was also not getting khabib a title shot...instead he gives connor a title shot just so he can hype UFC more and make DANA some more money which Connor did do but it wasnt fair for khabib.....
Money is not the answer for a good happy life.
Yes, it may not be enough when you get in trouble.

He knows the painkillers are not going to make his broken ankle any better...
Donald Cerrone essentially took a dive. He was injured and was seemingly more interested in getting a good paycheck than having a competitive fight. He literally limped to the cage and then didn’t look like himself in the fight.
I was actually sad when they announced Mayweather Vs Mcgregor and thought back then "Ohh no! He's never going to be hungry or the same again." He was bouncing elite Champions like Aldo and Alvarez around the octagon and destroying them when he was hungry. Then after 3 years of partying he didn't even come back for a warm up fight, instead he took on Khabib after 3 years of inactivity and while drinking hard alcohol and doing who knows what other drugs...meanwhile Khabib didn't drink or drug and was still hungry. I would have liked to see a 2015-2016 hungry and obsessed Mcgregor face Khabib a lot more. But what other MMA fighter has accomplished everything Conor has in his career?? Nobody...thats who. 2 belt world champion simultaneously, Boxed boxings king for 100 million, Built up Proper 12 and sold it for 150 million, became the most popular mma fighter..EVER, starred in Roadhouse the remake, has a net worth of somewhere between 3-500 million dollars, brought MMA into people's living rooms who didn't know anything about UFC, On the Burger King commercial, and on and on. He's had his problems, but you gotta give credit where its due. I'll say this.."My 70 year old mom(RIP, she died last year) didn't know a damn thing about the UFC..But she new who Conor Mcgregor is!!" (And Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm. I used to bring my mom and brother to the local sports bar to watch Conor and Ronda fight and I loved seeing a 67-69 year old mom rooting for them and enjoying herself.)

Even if you think you're the best, theirs always someone who is better than you
Champions come and go, but Khabib gives him the final blow. ❤
So true that butt kicking done him in
Maybe if he was a humble fighter a lot of people would love him and admire him more. It has been good in octagon but bad loser out of it.
Growing up, I was always told, DON'T have too much pride, THINK before you speak. And anyone who ALWAYS runs his/ her mouth will eventually get hurt.🥊🥊
Now i understand why he lost that way from Khabib. Im sad how money are changing us and in the end losing the true aim we originally had
this is to conor, your dream was to be able to look after your grand kiddies and make sure they'd want for nothing, you've done that, i know how hard it is to say no, not gonna do it anymore when fighting has been your life, your every thing, your lucky your brain is still good/sharp, if you still want to be in the fight game, go teach the new/young hungry ones, teach them how to be a great champion like you your, i'm sorry to say i and people much better qualified than me think you;ve lost the want, hunger and need that all great champions need/have,. you still have the speed, toughness, quality, you' ve just loss the want, need, hunger, you have nothing to prove to us, you've done that, thats all in writing, in the records books, this is not giving up, your just moving on to your next challenge, and believe me it aint easy, go be with your family, you have worked hard to be able to do this, i loved watching you fight and i'll miss watching you fight, its now time to be a champion hubby, dad, granddad, go live a long and happy life

The Dagestani fighters at that level are not to be f'ed with. Conor screwed up big time by making the Khabib fight so personal. One of the Muay Thai gyms I trained at in Thailand had a Dagestani team of fighters training there for a few months, so I was around them daily. These weren't even UFC level guys but they scary as fuck! They were killing machines. All of them. So I can't imagine what guys like Khabib are capable of. I think he would have killed Conor if given the chance.
That turned out to be embarrassing for him😂
and lives like a king. what would you prefer
He sure did gain alot of weight which will for sure slow you down.
Nate is the real deal.
All I know is that Floyd Mayweather put hands on him first and he was never the same after that fight I think
It was the money. That $100 million corrupted him to the core.
"Hands on him" brittle hands you mean? He lost because of not having the experience of latter rounds and only getting 10 weeks to preapre
The guy has always been up front about why he's in the game ... money! Being a loud mouth, controversial, outspoken and at times an @sshole is part of the game which he plays to perfection. Of course he's got the skills to back it up.
He's lost 3 out of his last 4 and hasn't had a win for over 4 years ... but still he's the biggest attraction and commands the biggest stage. He continues to do a LOT of things right.
He always picked the little guy to fight and then dropped massive amount of weight
That fucking thumbnail mate...
