This is the new Toyota Land Cruiser 300!
Toyota’s legendary 4x4 has undergone a makeover (even if it doesn’t look that different to the old edition!) and Mat’s here to run you through the key changes.
For starters, if you’re in Europe or the US and you’re looking to get your hands on one, then we’re afraid you’re all out of luck - this is one 4x4 that isn't heading your way! The Land Cruiser 300 is set to only release in the Middle East & Russia, for the time being at least.
But either way, what’s new? Well for starters, the V8 is gone! Instead, you now have two V6s to choose from - a 3.5-litre twin-turbo petrol, and a 3-litre 6 cylinder diesel. Neither are too short on power though, delivering 415hp & 309hp respectively!
As for the interior, well it’s had a thorough makeover, with an all-new dashboard design and a huge central touchscreen up front! And as before, you can get the Land Cruiser with either 5 or 7 seats.

I've taken Land Cruisers up to 6000m in Bolivia, through the Rift Valley in Ethiopia and across the Mongolian steppe in winter. Hands-down best 4x4 in history.

That is not true. There was the land cruiser 100 series built between 1998-2007, 200 series built between 2008-2020, and the next gen the 300 series.

The older generation had a second engine. Here in Australia, we have and love the 4.5L TTV8 diesel. Would love to see the GR spec done up with off-road modifications 😍

In Aus, the 200 series came with a 4.5 twin turbo v8 diesel, which was a piece of cake tuning to over 1000nm.
Extremely beautiful but one thing only : Too expensive. And it’s not Toyota fault it is mine.😭
LC200 had 5.7L V8, 4.0L V6, 4.6L V8 and 4.5L V8 diesel in some parts of the world. And the pic you showed for 5 seats is actually 7 seater (the seats are folded and yess its lays flat now over the old school sideways which reduced the storage room).. but yes there is a 5 seater version available as well. Great video !!

It will only go on sale on the middle east and Russia, which don't have a big market for wranglers or defenders, plus Russia loves their g wagons, so I guess the only worried ones are g wagons in the middle east

The Previous Toyota Land cruiser did not have a 5700cc petrol engine. That engine was found in the Lexus LX570. The Land cruiser was fitted with an option of two engines: 4600cc petrol or the 4500cc diesel.
They do sell it with 5.7 petrol in other regions

i've never once looked at a Landcruiser and seen it as competition for a G-wagon or a Landrover, i feel like its in its own category imo, i love the G wagon but i'd buy a LC before i ever buy the Benz

@@stendecstretcher4983 No mate, it was two GXL's here on farms that had the oil consumption issue where after only a few thousand k's after first service, they ran out of oil and seized. Then it was the injector issue with piston tops melting and scoring the bore. The affected people were completely ignored by the dealers in the downs here, treated like they were stupid. I traded mine as it kept using oil and I wasn't getting any respect.
I can't believe the comments from people here that these things are worth the trouble, if you get one of the lemons it will financially set you back years.

The old one actually came with 4 engines here
in the middle east , The base 4.0L V6 with 270
hp , a 4.6 L V8 with 304 hp, and the twin turbo
diese14.5 L , and the top trim was the 5.7 L V8
with 383 Hp, and plus the 4.0 L V6 came with
an 6 speed automatic transmission or a 5
speed manual but the manual had the most
basic options ever it didn't even have an
infotainment screen.

I love the LC and I enjoyed watching this video in my 2010 Opel Astra because I am poor.
The best thing about the new Land Cruiser? It’s still the back to basics, simplistic, robust, and utilitarian 4x4 and that’s the reason why I would buy one over every other luxury SUV

The old land cruiser was also offered with a 4.5 l V8 diesel engine. And also the g400d has same torque as the new land cruiser at 700nm. The g350d is the one with 600nm. Nice video and glad that finally Toyota gave the land cruiser a couple of engines from which we can extract some extra power.

The Land Cruiser had MANY more engine options other than the 5.7 V8 here in the middle east. And top of the range ones came with an AMAZING body kit and wheels.

LC’s and Y62 Patrol’s are on a whole different level when it comes to user experience. But a 5.6 NA v8 (patrol) seems to take the cake for me. 💪🍕

You’ll always have the people that can’t even afford it complaining “WHAT, No V8!?”.
The TT V6 will help it be more off-road capable by helping extend it’s MPG capability for Overland, off-road, etc. while simultaneously improving power.
