Odette Widdicombe Oh yeah--about a million or so! His fan base was HUGE! So talented, so good looking, so trendy. I miss him every day. Rest in peace sweet David 💙❤🎸🎶💕
He is just beautiful and that voice is always amazing! Don't care for the blonde hair though. His dark hair was so beautiful. The 80s was a time of weirdness with fashion for sure. Miss David so much.
I was so pleased to hear that David found the Lord. I know he's always believed in God, but I've always wondered if he was a Christian. Just believing that God exists won't get you into Heaven. It says in the Bible, "Ye must be born again." I know that David is in Heaven, because he received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. That makes me happy.
the UK follow up to The Last Kiss (which i bought on 12", signed by David & still have to this day) and it's still a mystery to me why this failed to get in the top 40.
Gail, I wondered the same thing. Apparently since his previous (RCA) albums did not chart in the US, Arista decided they would just release Romance in the UK, Europe, Middle East, SA and Japan. It's so frustrating as there are many gems on the album. The US did get a chance to later catch up on his work in the UK though and i am sure many wish they had been able to hear it years ago. His 80s concert at The Royal Albert Hall where he sings songs from the Romance albums amongst other his other hits is in 4 parts on youtube and is wonderful to watch. David was pure talent. I loved the way he never gave up amidst all of these ups and downs with his career further coming back with the fab David Cassidy album. Jennifer, it's so interesting to see David speak the middle part in this song as back in the Partridge Family when he had to do the speaking part for Doesn't Somebody want to be Loved he told how he was so against doing it that it caused many problems with the producers etc. As with this song he did embrace it in later years and was able to laugh about it as it became a huge hit for him.
LA Mills I got Romance and the 3 RCA albums from the iTunes Store after he died but I had to spend $$ to get physical CDs of David Cassidy, Didn’t You Used To Be, Old Trick New Dog, and Touch of Blue as they aren’t in the iTunes Store. I hope whoever is in charge can get them in there for others. I wondered also about the talking in Echo Valley and I Am A Clown. He never said it bothered him.
Yes he seemed to love the Echo Valley Talking and I am a Clown just Doesn't Somebody Want to be Loved seemed to be an issue as he thought the speaking was corny and mentions it is his book. Gail I will check itunes for the RCA albums - thank you for this. I think quite a few of his albums can be purchased on Amazon but it would be great it they were on itunes too.
Hey, Jennifer, you love that monologue in the middle, don't you?! I have to agree with you on that........he really speeds up my pulse with his alluring charm!
His Management. I prefer him in his darker chestnut brown, but they kept switching it upto make him resemble Barry Manilow and David Bowie. Suits and all. At one point they gave him a shorter, spikey haircut like Erik Faulkner of the Bay City Rollers. My favorite and what seemed to suit him the most was his signature shag. So many teen idols tried to copy but David ruled! 💙❤🎸🎶💕
That hairstyle wasn't just popular with men back in the 80's. Markie Post wore her hair that way back then, during her years on The Fall Guy, and later, Night Court. I guess that hairstyle was a unisex style in the 80's, like the Shag was back in the 70's.
Unfortunately, the album," Romance" was never official released, here in the U.S. and was available only by import. I didn't know, about it; till I joined, one of his fan clubs, in 92. Love the song, "Someone"! Sure would like to meet a guy, like that.
Noooo way I've Been lokkmg for this episode for many years do you have the full episode by any chance? I was on it in a game amd would love to see it 🙏
Heaven has someone special up there take care of him
Amen
A lot of people miss David

That beautiful boyish grin 😘
Gorgeous beyond belief and that voice melts ! ! Cutest blond I have ever seen ! !
His brothers can't even fill in for him....I felt he was that great!!!!

His death was devastating, always loved him and the music he left us will live on!
Can't believe he is gone
He will always live in our hearts!
Surreygirl 1978 I know he should still.be here
Love how he sings this song, his voice sounds like velvet to me. I hope he made peace with God, so I can see him in heaven.
Patti Best Yes he did! Watch the Pierce Morgan interview towards the end--he breaks down, telling his story. Make sure you have a kleenex ready. 💜🎶🙇

David sings two songs with the title "Someone" and I love both songs. This video is full of fun and David's voice is super fantastic.
He is. gorgeous ⭐️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️⭐️
He is my favorite artist, never tired of hearing his voice. Why is it we lose the good ones to early? Mike P.
You have good taste! I listen to more country music than anything else, but David Cassidy's music never fails to put a smile on my face.

Hi fluffandskipper! He could wear pink like no other!
He was on loads of kids shows in the 80s!

ryan777 When David was asked which song was his favorite out of all his songs, he said: The Last Kiss. 💕
I’m mystified why this entire album was kept hidden from the US in the 80s.

I wonder who talked him into going blonde? Prefer the darker hair color!
Laura Stone his management, it was NOT his choice to go blonde. He hated it.
I wonder WHY his management thought it was a good idea? You don't mess with perfection.

He was also completely grey by 1984 so the blonde was covering the grey up and fitted more with the 80’s style.
I missed this part of his career, must have been doing other things. Do blondes have more fun?
MaryLou Nelson somehow I did too. Guess I was too busy clubbing and listening to crappie house bands playing Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Van Halen, etc
