I'm very glad you finally got your hands on the XTR! Here in Europe we can get TC cars and parts very easily. So I think the US distributor is just not interested or motivated to increase Team Corally's footprint in the US, which is a shame. Like I said, in the EU there's no shortage of cars, parts or electronics from this brand (only in the UK but that's a Brexit wound I think) so I don't understand why it's so hard for you guys to get stuff.
You guys must be new to Team Corally they had a lot of problems with chassis, and especially pillow balls for like the first 3 year it was horrible people stopped buying or got rid of them then this the roller where they changed a lot of the carbon , and tower brace wing. And new Pillow balls. People where using Arrma ones direct fit. Now anyone you buy comes with a new updated set of pillow ball. There RTR comes with basically a Max 8 ESC just red and motor great setup with a lot of adjustments
The Corally are good value for money. The XTR comes as a roller only however the ekk look stock electronics on the v1 & v2 absolutely awesome and don’t feel the blx system does any justice to it. In Europe the parts availability is plentiful and seems there’s an issue over in the US. The steering ball joints do snap and you could use the kraton exb ones or C-00180-554 composite ones from corally that have some flex to them and hold up well. Great review.
I have the Punisher, pretty much the same chassis without the metal upgrades. The electronics in the RTR also overheats on just 4S. The hottest I saw the motor get was like 185F. Had to get an 11T pinion and a heatsink with fans to help with cooling. Other mods I did was get stiffer springs since the ones that come with it were too soft. Also messed around with the diff and shock fluid. Overall a good truck. I paid $430 for mine which was an absolute steal. Downside is that I can't go to my LHS to get parts. I have to order them online.
I loved your review of the XTR..I actually got the 22 version when it 1st came out because I'm a Corally fan... I agree with everything that you said minus the two issues... I've never had a problem with the Rod and/or the battery tray straps but at the same time I don't bash the car as hard as you guys do ..maybe about 75% of as much.... I just bought a fire team I haven't run it yet.. I do also have an Arma Typhon which was my 1st car 3 years ago the 3S version the only thing that keeps me from getting more arrma products like the kraton and the talion is all of the issues with the diffs.. that's the biggest drawback.. That's why I feel the corally xtr is above all the 1/8th Arrmas.. And yes I did buy a fire team but it was for 399 and I figure if the diff blows I can put one in there or 2 and still come out way ahead...
Awesome video as always AJ! I’ve been wanting to get something from Corally but the part support worries me a bit Any thoughts on the new Traxxas XRT??
I wasnt aware that they ever offered the XTR as a rtr, the V1 & this current 2022 V2 XTR's were only rollers. They do offer the normal Kronos rtr in V1 & also V2 the current rtr versions, the rtr versions never had the HD parts that comes on the XTR rollers.
We’ve seen several instance channels that were sent complete RTR XTRs. The web site showed one but it was discontinued. We actually ordered one but never received it. It’s confusing.
Awesome video!! Can you share perspective on battery size? I’m looking at a 6S 100c 8000 Mah that weighs in at 986grams. In your opinion when does the weight negate the benefits of additional mAH
Weight is always an issue. The heavier a setup is the less runtime you’ll get and the hotter the system gets. For 6s we buy 3300 or 4000 mah batteries. The thing is, we buy two. This allows long run times with a battery change but lowers the weight and lessens the impact variable somewhat. Thanks for asking 😎👍
The RTR was discontinued after a huge amount of problems, corally went back to the drawing board and created this basically bullet proof version, I think you placement of number 8 on your list is way to low , it’s definitely a better rig than all the kraton versions and talion for sure hands down.
Cool, Corally's are just kinda odd to me, lots of good ideas, then the whole thing with the links just kinda be-fuddles me, I dunno. Are you planning a breakdown after 6 months or a year? I'm curious how the drivetrain holds up...
Ii don't believe the xtr was ever available as an rtr...you can get the regular Kronos as an rtr. I've had no trouble getting parts in the US for my Sketer through rchobbyexplosion or Jenny's. No lhs in my area so waiting a few days for parts is normal for me.
Just to make it clear, there never been an xtr in rtr form, the Kronos is not discontinued and is still in stock at the us distributor. Maybe make some research before making a video, there never ever been an xtr RTR. There's updates for the Kronos conning as in new versions but that's in the horizon
When the XTR 2022 hit the market we ordered one (it came with motor, speed, control, radio, and servo.) .Due to shipping issues we never received it. The purchase was refunded. Months later we went to another chain hobby store and looked it up. There we saw the one we ordered and it had been cancelled. We saw this paperwork for ourselves. The only one available after the cancellation was a roller. Confirmed at two hobby chains.
@@AJJAMStudios im in close co-operation with corally ( and knows the owners) , and have helped them design and develope parts. There never been an rtr version of the xtr, if youtubers got it sent it must of been a special deal with the sales representative. Hrp as a distributor in the us might have got it wrong.
This video helped me decide to buy one today. Will report back with how it goes!
I was really looking forward to Corally content on your channel. Great video!

Definately gonna add a Corally to my line up, not sure which one yet

He still got the old version without the updates. Only the 2022 version has the upgrades.
When we ordered it they labeled it on the site as a 2022.
Looking forward to your findings & opinion on the XTR.
man......this spot of yours is awesome!!

I'm glad you finally been able to get your hands on a Team Corally Kronos. Hope to see tips on things to make it better !👍🏼
Can you build it to be a 10 out of 10
Only time will tell. 😎👍
@@AJJAMStudios Do you think it is more durable then a Arrma Talion ?

Awsomeness!
Ive been running this xtr for a long time now and its a total ripper ....
Is it better to have 1 6s or 2 3s to make 6s ? witch is stronger ? 1 big battery or 2 battery ?

There still is no rtr version of the xtr. Don't know where you got that info from.
