Thank you for this video. I found your steps on how to take off the various pieces for the install better than any instructions I could find anywhere else and gave me the confidence I was not going to break any of the pieces! Made the install pretty easy. I also got the rear camera and found that pretty easy to run along the trim and install in my civic hatch for anyone curious.

do you think i could use the rear cam as an interior camera?
I think so. I think the only hard part would be finding a place and way to mount that rear camera. I used some Velcro strips and that has worked pretty well. But it also has a pretty long cable, as it was designed to go in the back of the car. So if you are using it in the front of the car you would have to figure out what to do with all the extra wire as well which could be tricky

Pig tail that was plug n play was given in the box.
I bought this and it doesn't turn off unless you lock the car creating a possible battery drain issue. Ended up returning it.

I can't open the interior light box no matter how hard I pulled, my fingers even got cut lol, any advice?
Make sure you don’t have to remove some trims and under that there might be screws.

I got a black one and it doesn’t have the pigtail connected to the black wiring and it’s not in the box, any way you know what I do instead? It just has the black box

@@VagabondBuilds i think it was a Chinese knock off everything was in Chinese lettering and it didn’t look anything like the one I got from the site I got it from so I just asked for a refund
Does it record proximity movements when parked? If yes, how does it affect the car battery life?
I don’t believe so.
The only thing I don’t like about this camera is that I would still need to install one for the rear. And for the price I might as well just buy a front and rear and run the cords for a cheaper price.

Installed the rear camera right above the mirror, centered onto the plastic panel (no extension cable), pretty well blended in.
