Hi Sir! I know it's too late to ask question. I just want to ask if the 3.5 jack version of AKG can receive a firmware update with a xiaomi phone? I just bought AKG rn and I am digging much information for my AKG before getting mine.
To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

got my note 10+ already a year and half and the headphones are stilling strong...i was going through atleast 3 pair of 45$ 3.5mm jack headphones every 2months...havent hsd that issues since i began using the usb c type...since im a runner and always active keepin my phone in my pocket is a must and the cables would bend and all.....has been great with these samsung headphones

I really don't know anyone who isn't upset about the headphone jack being removed. The sound quality is so much better than the USBc. Personally, I thinks it's all a scam to make you buy more expensive headphones. Every decently (and even cheaply) priced pair of earbuds I've had is better than that USBc crap.

When I filmed this my Note10 plus was not flipping the video so text was backwards and left was right and right was left lol That's why it looks like the headphones are on incorrectly (I'm OCD when it comes to L & R) But thanks for helping 👍😁

I'm all about options. I think smartphones should give as many way to do one thing...do to the fact billions use these devices. Also we are now seeing new smartphones (2020) coming out with headphone 🎧 jacks 👍 I personally would like a 3.5mm jack for my lepel microphone lol I have use a converter 🙄

Change my s 20 + akg eartip with RHA T 20 eartip , itu sounds really excellent.. I used Shure SE -215, RHA T 20 and Campfire Audio Io with hidizs sonata usb dac before on my s 9+ and s 10 + Now I only use this AKG Just try to change the eartip, this AKG is amazing.. 👍 Never thought a free IEM could be this good
I have to turn my headphones so that the cord is facing up and the cord goes up and around the back of my ears...the volume controls are on my right side .
I used to love the ones bundled with my S8 and s20+, Samsung really cheaped out not including a charging brick or the earphones anymore. As it gives you a taste of their sound quality and build if you were to buy their wireless buds. With my s24 ultra I have air pods pro and beats buds + as no need to stay loyal to Samsung other than my galaxy 4 watch.

When I use it, the sound of the call doesn't go through the headphones, and that's a thing that make me sad because I love these headphones. same here, had been using Jabra 65 that are bundle with S20 ultra full price from Harvey norman, others store gave 70 dollars rebate,no goodies, I gave the bundle AkG headphone a try and fit it with a pair of a bigger rubber buds that I had , the sound acceptable good with dolby atmos on for watching movies on bed when I am lazy to get the Jabra 😁

Send for warranty exchange,I change mind after two week I brought my phone. First I facing auto volume down,and after that I facing static sound,and following by plug in for a while then no sound at all, disconnected.and I change it under warranty.
They're the same model, but the type-c has a different microcontroller because of the fact it has type-c. Tbh I prefer the 3.5mm pair because the type-c does drain your battery a bit more.

It seems to me that you you should have used the largest attachments. I use the largest so that they wedge into my ear canals tightly and better bass is a result. I feel like you're too focused on the fact that they have a wire rather than the sound quality.
Silly question but do they work with other devices with USB-C ports? If you haven't tried finding another USB-C device and test it's not the headphones causing the problem.
Yep! That's the ONLY way I can get them in my ears for more than 7 seconds. Otherwise they fall straight out. They sound pretty decent upside down, just look and feel weird.
I'd say go with the S10+ so you can access the headphone jack...then upgrade to something better in a year or two. My guess is the headphone jack will make a comeback on Android phones (Apple will never bring it back)

I got this,but I changed bigger ear tips,and sounds change significant,the bass are really deep,I do compare with buds live(sorry didn't fit well in my ear and I feel too soft although max volume)and buds pro,with proper tips better high end,but for low pitch a bit suffer and I can hear the bass are less bang then this AKG original earphones.

You do not know what you are missing. All you need to do is change the ear tips for a larger ones or ideally the foam tips and these earphones are the most underrated and best sounding earphones with clear and excellent balanced frequency response better than some earphones upwards of $100+

I have a question on these usb c iem's, do they also work on phones which have a headphone jack? I've got a galaxy a50 which comes with both usb c and 3.5mm jack, and looking at the new a53 losing the 3.5mm jack is inevitable. If I were to get these (because they are told to be really good on an audio standpoint for the price), would they work on my current setup?` Could you test this on an older phone or something if possible?
Sould be your device. Are you 100% the cable is all the way plugged in? Sometimes you have to push a little harder with new tech. I've have situations in which I did that lol 😆 🤦♂️
I bought these off Amazon. Caller says there's loud noise that won't stop until I unplug them so I'm not sure if knock off or just not right? I don't know. Lol

I share your weird ear shape, it seems. Took me WEEKS to figure out the only way they would stay in is if I wear them upside down. That is, where the wire, instead of falling down from my ear, actually has to point UP and make kind of a loop back down. I suppose the advantage there is that it actually brings the microphone up next to my mouth, instead of below my chin ... but it looks and feels weird. One of the reasons I hate all earbuds with that angled design to them. Never had that issue with straight earbuds before. But try rotating them 180 degrees ... maybe they'll stay in your ears that way, like they do mine. #weirdmutantearcanals
In this case I will suggest you spray some WD40 multipurpose oil in your volume button,I have same issue when after my running workout,it keep on lower down the volume.but after I spray the oil,not too much try to figure out how much need to apply.and remember to cover the mic with tape.

I believe the device will get the firmware update when using the device (Samsung) so I don't think the xiaomi will get the Samsung update.

Try swithching the headphones from side.. you had the right one in your left ear.. probably thats why they didn't fit.. the mic side is right side

I am using S20 ultra, the good thing is, this free akg earbuds is sooo good. Unfortunately, samsung is not going to give free earbuds in the future.

This only works with usb-c ports. You would need a usb-c to 3.5mm converter to use these earphones.
When I connect the headphones in to the charging port the sound still comes through the phone and not the headphones. Any ideas?

I have a question on these usb c iem's, do they also work on phones which have a headphone jack?
I've got a galaxy a50 which comes with both usb c and 3.5mm jack, and looking at the new a53 losing the 3.5mm jack is inevitable. If I were to get these (because they are told to be really good on an audio standpoint for the price), would they work on my current setup?`
Could you test this on an older phone or something if possible?

I've the originals recently it doesn't work on making phone calls or WhatsApp calls. But i can listen to music etc even play and pause also mic works fine on google assistant. But no phone calls. Any thought? I use Samsung A51 USB c connection

I share your weird ear shape, it seems. Took me WEEKS to figure out the only way they would stay in is if I wear them upside down. That is, where the wire, instead of falling down from my ear, actually has to point UP and make kind of a loop back down. I suppose the advantage there is that it actually brings the microphone up next to my mouth, instead of below my chin ... but it looks and feels weird. One of the reasons I hate all earbuds with that angled design to them. Never had that issue with straight earbuds before. But try rotating them 180 degrees ... maybe they'll stay in your ears that way, like they do mine. #weirdmutantearcanals

My AKG's are defected they keep lowering the volume
Contact Samsung if they are Samsung AKG they will work with you.
In this case I will suggest you spray some WD40 multipurpose oil in your volume button,I have same issue when after my running workout,it keep on lower down the volume.but after I spray the oil,not too much try to figure out how much need to apply.and remember to cover the mic with tape.

Go figure....I can still hear music and lower and raise volume...sooo....it is what it is... to be perfectly honest with you I rather have Bluetooth I have a Samsung Note 10 plus but when I go to the gym I walk on the treadmill for an hour I don't run I just walk and I have some little Bluetooth in hot pink that my best friend got me and they fall off so I wanted something with a cord. It needs to be C input.... they don't have anything that's bad ass out there right? Things with cords aren't cool anymore I guess LOL
