Interesting how some channels post 1 hour videos and you start skipping places, and some are 20 minutes and they seem to be over before they get started. For most, 20 to 30 minutes is the sweet spot.

Night Vision Monocular - Have you considered having one? They are very affordable now, a good Bushnell is less than $300us. Great for when you pull into an anchorage at night... A Thermal Monocular would be great in fog and other times, also in the $300us price range. Both would be nice to have when looking out for pirates. 🎉

I don't know a whole lot about them because I can't use their products due to medication interference, but I thought you all would do everything you could to investigate the matter since you all are smarter than me in matters like this & your viewers deserve the TRUTH. Plus, you two are fantastic detectives & can find out the truth in this matter or @ least make up your minds about WTH is going on with AG1 & tell your wonderful viewers the "HONEST" truth about their products. You @ least owe that to us viewers. Please!
I believe in you two & "TRUST" you wholeheartedly. I believe your whole viewers feel the same. That's why we watch you every Sunday & I look forward to your videos every week. As soon as I get home from church, you're the 1st thing I watch.

I appreciate you two a lot & I trust your two opinions on your sponsorships.

@@jackwickman2403you can get some of the lower end FLIR’s for around $5k. If you’re just looking for low light performance, take a look at Sionyx. Think of them like a digital camera with an incredibly high ISO. They are able to see incredibly well in very dark conditions. You could also install some infrared floodlights on your boat. This way you would both bother others as you pull in. The Sionyx will not do as well as a FLIR in fog or rain, but will likely work better than the FLIR in other conditions.

It's been said that power boating is about getting somewhere and sailing is about going somewhere. It's the difference between destination and journey. We sailors love a journey. Yes, we love it when we can make good time and go where we want to go; yet going too fast is a real problem. Go too fast and the adventure fades. Go too fast, and nowhere is far away.
Jordin Kare had a beautiful song about that ("Wanderer"). Here's the bridge:
"For with steel and steam and gasoline and turbines' whining scream
they have trapped me in a nightmare that is someone else's dream
of a world so small and guarded you could hold it in your hand
a world that knows no land called Far Away."

Nice Edit guys. We are headed down the east coast of Borneo in the rally with a full military protection as in the south western part of Philippines there are some nasty groups kidnapping people etc for ransom. They come across in small boats from the Philippines to Sabah Malaysia to do this. Since 2017 the have been 40 abductions in this region. So be careful and do a little research on this area. On the sails, laminated carbon sails are so good for racing but sadly they have a limited lifespan. In a full time cruising environment you will be lucky to get 5 years out of them. Most times 3-4 years. For cruising and longevity Dyneema sails under the trade name Hydranet are 20 years sails. Our Main and Genoa are 2010 sails and still going strong. We currently have a windlass motor problem so we are leaving in the morning for Kudat in the northern tip of Borneo to get a new motor shipped in there 🙄

Can’t go quite as good to weather as a J1 but with your apparent wind angle moving further forward quicker it would work much better than that reacher and you could sail as high as 45 degrees. I would also as Santa to put a FLIR M300C under your tree as well, takes a lot of stress out of night passages.

Is it a problem the motor (I recall yes, and this is the maintenance reason why you are hauling out) or ...

The motor issue is simply due to an ongoing issue that will be sorted during warranty. We'll cover the cause and fix when we get to the factory and talk about the other issues as well.

"Fair [Wynns] and Following Seas," and keep exploring my beautiful country, the Philippines. There is definitely a lot of sailing grounds to cover, especially through the inner islands and western part of the Archipelago next
    to the Pacific Ocean.

Love the info about the boat...never been sailing but it was a dream many moons ago. If you are ever short on content, I would LOVE to see some of Jasons photography from over the years. Maybe like a recap slide show.

I use to fish at night and used a fog light, it would light up anything on the water for 50+ feet without lighting up the world like a flood

Finally Joshua returns to big screen, I was worried you guys dumped his body somewhere at the shallows. He has this calm presence reeks wisdom and bliss all at the same time. Just for that you should just tie his body to the pointy part of your front vessel and feed him occasionally and wind will always be with your sails. He is a keeper that one.
