Boy, this brings me back. When I was a teenager, my sibling and I would sit on the floor on weekends and watch these segments on RUclips from our dad's old laptop.
I was in high school when this came out. Used to watch GoT and this with my family; didn't realize how precious those moments were

I was living in Thailand when this aired, and the love people had for the previous Thai king Bhumibol was absolutely real, especially when compared to his son (the current king). King Bhumibol was a symbol of kindness and humility to the nation, and his son has seemingly done everything his father didn’t want him to do with his life. There are still protests today being helmed by the youth of Thailand to try and abolish the monarchy completely.
It's incredible how well researched this show is it's been 10 years, and it still resonates today.

@@inriellux6232It probably had more to do with him playing a creepy closeted bisexual politician in House of Cards, which turned out not to be a huge stretch for him because his real life was being creepy, closeted, gay, and also a remorseless predator.
I'm gonna watch all of these episodes at 1.5.x speed before youtube gets ahold of them and ban them for not being censored. I've always wanted to binge watch LWT starting at season 1. I didn't start watching LWT until season 8. Was hooked, still hooked, always gonna be hooked on LWT as long as John Oliver remains host. Hope they drop an entire season every month from now on.

I think it's the same situation as Weinstein, where a lot of people suspected or knew about his misdeeds. There was a joke on 30 Rock about Weinstein years before the allegations, and there was one on Family Guy about Kevin Spacey well before anything came out too. For him it could have been his generally creepy vibe, too.

(For those unfamiliar w/ the game, Sif (who is a boss you need to kill in order to progress in the game) is a giant wolf that's wielding his deceased owner's sword by holding it in his mouth, protecting his owner's grave, and when he gets below 1/3 of his health he starts limping, occasionally whimpering/whining, and struggling to even swing the sword, making it a gut wrenching fight)

As someone from Spain I have to point out that not only did king Juan Carlos abdicate due to several corruption scandals, but that even AFTER abdicating he kept commiting those kind of behaviour until he was forced to go out of the country. Now, he lives in Abu Dhabi, together with another problematic figure from the Spanish Royal Family, Froilán (nephew of the current king, so Juan Carlos' grandson). Froilán first became famous for accidentally shooting his own foot with a firearm, and is now known for throwing extremely wild parties that include drugs.
Also, as a sidenote, a few years ago the left-wing politician (and former Vice President) Pablo Iglesias gifted the current Spanish king the video collection of Game of Thrones.

Having spent a lot of time in Bangkok the past 2 years, the idea that there was a horse in the city is more wild than anything else. Its like a car parking lot under a baking sun. Poor horse probably died of heat stroke.
