Looks good! super useful how the water doesn't collect on end of the rug when you squeegee, i like how it goes down into the little pit for removal.

New pit looks great. 👍🏽 I think it's more efficient then the old one because of the slope and the well for water. I noticed with the old pit when you used the squeegees the water would kinda pool right back to rug. So, to compensate you had to squeegee more at the edges of the rug where the pumps were.

Never in my life did I think I would be excited to see a mew rug cleaning pit, but when I saw the title I was like "oh shit, I need to see this, I hope it has a raised platform so the water just flows into a trough". I was not disappointed.
I never knew someone could make cleanings rugs interesting, I’m very surprised at how relaxing this channel is.
The new pit is SO much more efficient, both in helping move the water and soil out of the carpet and in time and energy savings for you. It’s an absolute delight watching you work; you do the best you possibly can every time and take such pride in what you do. Thanks for sharing with us and spreading the joy and satisfaction of work well done.
On a side note, one of the smartest things I’ve ever seen a cleaner do is your system for removing dry soil from area rugs, elevated upside down on a grid and using a beater bar to loosen the embedded soil. A simple, elegant solution.
some kind of vibrating pad would be ideal for that. I used to detail vehicles, and one of the best methods of getting floors clean is to bash them with the back of a bannister brush to dislodge the dirt then vacuum, rinse and repeat until she's spotless.

4:00 is why I get so frustrated when other companies don't bother vacuuming first.
Most carpet cleaning companies are just for minor cleans that's why, they'll say they can do big cleans though to make money but never believe them.
they told me they don't vacuum and i should do that before giving them the rug
We always vacuumed first, whether a house or a restaurant. I would vacuum while my boss got the big machines out of the van.

Sometimes when I’m driving around I catch myself thinking “that needs a good pressure washing...” or I see a 200 year old tombstone in a historical cemetery covered in moss and think “oh, I could pressure wash that!” 🤔😆

That's a much better washing pit. Great set up! I know a lot of restaurants are closed so you're not getting work there, but I sure love seeing a greasy carpet come clean. The water dump in this video was nothing compared to the black greasy mess you get out of restaurants!

This was my summer job a few couple of years back. Never would have thought i would someday be sitting and watching someone do it on youtube tough! I can say that the worst cases were when rugs had animal feces in them...The smell is really horrible (note that in the place i worked everything was done by hand). But after drying when you see that really dirty rug actually clean again felt so rewarding for some reason
