Its good to see these guys wearing gloves. I knew a guy who cleaned carpets professionally for 30 years. Great video, Myles(sp?). Would probably be a good business practice to take before and after pictures of every rug and floor you do to discourage some Karen of accusing you of damaging her rug. I agree. I imagine it can be near 90-100 decibels. Not enough to cause immediate damage, but exposure over time can cause you lose hearing. Even some basic plugs would work in this situation.
Vacuum them in two directions, parallel to each of the sides. (Like a cross) You'll get a ton of dirt. If you don't have a commercial vacuum, like a Kirby, Miele, or Oreck, a regular vacuum is good enough, as long as you go over it a bit more.

When I was little we moved into a house that had FOUR LAYERS of wall-to-wall carpet (much bigger and thicker than these area rugs) ontop of each other, every single one drenched in urine. Instead of ripping it out and putting new in, using laminate, house training the dog, getting a doggy door, or getting a reusable urine pad, they just covered it up. You know, I never thought I'd be watching rugs and carpets be cleaned for fun, relaxation and keeping my spirits up, but honestly, I have so enjoyed watching you the last few months. Your family is so cheerful, hardworking and intent on doing a good job, that it literally contributed greatly to my ability to hope and move on after some pretty horrible days dealing with customers during CoVid. Thanks for being the kind of family who has the kind of character and integrity that shines through your work, without you having to say a single word about what you believe is important in life. Its good to see these guys wearing gloves. I knew a guy who cleaned carpets professionally for 30 years. After watching this, I vacuumed the backs of my area rugs, and then the tops again. It was amazing how much dirt (mostly sand) was hiding in there!
Vacuum them in two directions, parallel to each of the sides. (Like a cross) You'll get a ton of dirt. If you don't have a commercial vacuum, like a Kirby, Miele, or Oreck, a regular vacuum is good enough, as long as you go over it a bit more.
@@littlejackalo5326 Also slowing down can help a lot. A lot of people tend to push the vacuum back and forth really fast and don't give the suction the time to do it's job.

You guys worked so hard on this and made the rugs look amazing again, but I'm mad because I know when you gave that one rug back, that person's dog most definitely just used it as a bathroom again because they clearly haven't trained their dog and don't care enough to try.
Right?

@@freddie488 maybe the smell got too disgusting that they had to clean it even though their dog was gonna pee on it again, “hey at least it doesn’t smell anymore right? its gonna be a while before it smells like that again :)” is what they probably thought lmao
I kind of agree with you and don’t get me wrong but sometimes the dog is rescued and yet not trained; sometimes the owner is an elder person and doesn’t have much control over the dog; maybe it is a young person who doesn’t have much experience with dogs... anyway, sending it to be professionally cleaned doesn’t mean that they don’t care to try and have the dog trained, just means that they want a clean rug ;)
Oh, and the dog peeing again doesn’t mean that the work these guys in the video have done was waisted or anything... they are providing a service and were paid for it, not so pleasant work but it wasn’t a favor to be looked at as disrespectful if the rug gets dirty again - with no matter what.
