Me (GSTAR321) doing a live commentary and playthrough of Mortal Kombat : Deception's Arcade mode.
Mortal Kombat : Deception is my personal favourite '3D' Mortal Kombat game. Released in 2004, two years after Deadly Alliance, this game delivers in both quality AND quantity.
The game contains an abundance of 'Kontent'. Not only do we have the traditional one-on-one fighting modes; this game also contains 'Chess Kombat' & 'Puzzle Kombat', two excellent new additions.
Also, Konquest mode makes a return from Deadly Alliance, although here it is a full-blown RPG set in the Mortal Kombat universe. It is the main reason why Deception is my favourite '3D' Mortal Kombat game.
A MUST own game for Mortal Kombat fans.

Fun fact: Shujinkou（主人公）means "main character" or "protagonist" in Japanese. So yeah, we literally had a protagonist named "protagonist" in this game.

@@angelsilva7207 to awnser both of you, in Deception and Armageddon there are combos that require a costume to wear to do longer combos.
Sub-Zero's alt happens to be one of them, but all gotta say don't bet on it, just wear what you like.
This is footage of Sub-Zero combos and many others, on a side note Sub-Zero is low tier here, but he's still decent.

The invisible fatalities are awesome because of the terror they create. Just imagine if you were on the receiving end of one of those, getting your ass dismembered by an invisible assailant.

I loved Deadly Alliance, Deception, Armaggedon, MK 9 and MK X.
Why is there two characters as one noob+smoke I don't get it why? Is it like noob in mk9 where he had a clone of himself
Adog 23 They are a team In their story,It's noob saibot with smoke.When you change your fighting stance ,while playing them, you switch for the other basically.Hope that help (Y)!

my favorite part about this, is that in the tournament stage on MK11, the MK:D arcade machine has THIS play throughs gameplay. small, but beautiful tribute to a man the whole community adores. cheers.

Deception had the best aesthetics of the series, imo. Almost as iconic as the OG trilogy
Deadly Alliance, Deception and Shaolin Monks are def my favorite MK games next to Trilogy. R.I.P. Midway.

Mortal Kombat will never top Mileena and Baraka from this game, these are without a doubt, their best versions.
Tanya and Ermac were also really awesome in this game, a lot better than their versions from X, which were also pretty good.

I remember looking at the back of the disc case of deception and thinking "whos the new old-looking ninja?" When I realized it was Sub-Zero's alt costume I remember cringing.
This is one of the best entries in the series. I hope some of the characters return in mk 12.

In Sub-Zero's Alternate costume, he had a Qing Dynasty era hair style. It's what most men had in the ancient Qing Dynasty of China.
(24:08) I've always liked that loading screen with the image of Onaga, standing in his dark throne room.
Just imagine having to walk into that place, knowing you have to fight this ancient, master kombatant dragon, with the build of Goro, but with twenty-forty foot wings, who just TOWERS over you.
I mean, Shao Kahn had to poison him in order to kill him, so he could probably just backhand you, and you'd be a torn up, gory paste.

I feel you man, I got this game on my 13th birthday and this game was so damn fun. Kombat Chess was hilariously fun too, best minigame out of all of them!
This entry was my all time favorite mortal kombat game, konquest mode was just awesome, you could explore the entire mortal kombat universe, such a great game.
