this was so sensitive to me because when I was 6 i think ,I was sexually assaulted by my best friend . I haven’t learned to deal with it yet and I’m only 14 so of course it will be difficult. I finally got the courage to tell my parents and they have been here for me . No matter how alone you feel, you need to tell someone . Holding all the pain in doesn’t help, trust me I did it for 8 years or more .

Thank you since C19 this issue has increased 10 fold. I have a relative who works in this area of law enforcement & it never stops, long hours trying to save people from their own predicaments is heart wrenching especially when it’s the same people over & over again.
It seems that narcissists always get away with everything, it seems they have changed but they truly never will. And the victims of narcissistic abuse suffer in silence, sometimes their life goes down the hill, but sometimes they unfold like beautiful butterflies. I hope that we all wake up and inform our self . And have a happy life, which not always means to be in a relationship. The best is to practice to have a relationship with yourself and to know yourself.
Exactly! Staying with someone out of guilt or pity is wrong...or seamlessly going from one relationship to another.

It's good that you didn't hesitate to show reality in this film. This is many people's realities behind closed doors. We wonder why our co-workers seem upset on certain days, we wonder why things seem amiss with friends and family - I suppose we just wonder. Try to do something good in the world and reach out to others who are having a bad day if you can, because you just don't know what they're going through or the difference kindness can make.

For what is statistically true, or accurate, and even what is not included statistically, and all other crime such as this is what is ( violence against women) Always unacceptable...
Women have the Right to Feel SAFE and be Safe...
No woman..., or person....child...should ever have to experience this kind heinous personal intrusion in their lifetime, this seems to be occurring at least according to news reports more, and all to often.
Actually this activity should be in a stage, or state of Reversal, and NOT Increasing, I am continually upset as well as greatly disturbed in hearing such stories, as I have always have been...

It is disguised as love - what he says to her that he needs her , love her and for her to show her love for him in giving in his sexual desires and to threaten self harm.
That is not love !! Those are manipulating and controlling ways. Run and never look back - it wasn’t easy to at first because I missed him needing me and him can’t living without me but when I overheard him telling his brother that it didn’t work coz I still wanted to leave him - I wasn’t curious enough to stay to find out what he had intended - I fled and then whenever I ‘missed’ the drama , I remembered how he said my friends were bad influence and he didn’t trust them and was protecting me, how every guy who I met had his car thrashed- and he tried to get me fired from my job so that I had to depend on him financially too .
My advice 2 girls like Iris leave & never go back just move on there are plenty of fish in the sea & u don't need 2 put all yo fruits in one basket

I'm not victim-blaming - but if you are in a relationship with someone who has mental health issues / is suicidal, getting caught kissing someone else is a surefire way to end up dead via murder-suicide.
One thing I'd like to clarify with this line of thought: Rape and abuse is not a just consequence of cheating or incompatibility. If you do something wrong in a relationship you may deserve the subsequent break up or counseling, but you don't deserve to be physically or mentally abused.
What we want to convey is that Tom did NOT deserve to cheated on, but it also doesn't justify the rest of his actions towards Iris. Rarely is the victim perfect in all ways and this can be used as powerful ammo to keep a person in a bad relationship out of guilt and self-loathing. A reminder to those out there the love is supposed to be a partnership, not a war against them or yourself.
