Well the minute Warcraft goes free-to- play. And they start making money off the Cosmetics the cash shop. You can forget about getting cool looking gear cosmetics mounts in game. Maybe time to find another game
I'd love to see more people be able to dip into the game and really try it. I think we'd see a massive resurgence in player pop if folks could actually try the game and get invested.
ZERO chance that WoW comes to Game Pass. It's Blizzard's biggest cash cow and, in order for that to happen, Microsoft would lose a crap ton of money on subs. Honestly, the only thing that might POSSIBLY come of WoW and Gamepass is some special cosmetics rewards for people with Gamepass.
Blizzard wouldn't be the culpable party to shareholders if the acquisition goes through. Microsoft stands to gain a ton of monthly gamepass subscribers for them to show off to their shareholders though? That's something wow does best. I don't see it going free to play. I COULD see them bundling the sub into gamepass tho
Also FFXIV doesn't have this issue.
